The space opened with banter about the recent Hawk Tuah girl meme coin launch that rugged for approximately 50 million dollars, with speakers debating her level of culpability versus the project’s behind-the-scenes operators such as Doc Hollywood. Conversation then shifted to broader market narratives, including Peter Schiff’s latest anti-Bitcoin comments contrasted against Michael Saylor’s push for the US to sell gold reserves and adopt Bitcoin as a strategic reserve asset. Speakers discussed El Salvador’s new IMF loan agreement that makes Bitcoin acceptance optional for businesses while still allowing the country to accumulate more BTC. The majority of the episode focused on a sophisticated new Web3 scam that uses fake video conferencing apps delivered via Telegram to install malware (Realist Info Stealer) capable of draining wallets on both Windows and Mac. Multiple speakers shared personal experiences being targeted and offered practical security advice. All of this is discussion, not financial advice.

[0:00:20] Voice L: Let's get a little music. I'm going up in here. Cool crypto in the building. I'm going old school.
[0:02:27] Dave @DCBK2LA: Teach you how to really trade today. Teach you how to hold on to your bags. You have a dollar cost average. How to not lose money in this market. Not get scared off the ball.
[0:02:38] Voice H: Have to
[0:02:38] Dave @DCBK2LA: evict you.
[0:04:45] Dave @DCBK2LA: What up, everybody? You know, the joints, Ryan and Leslie, for anybody that remembers. That was the jam. Welcome to ATC, All Things Crypto, aka All Things Cooking. Happy Monday, everybody. Hope everybody had a great weekend. Man, it was a weekend and a half. Hock to a girl fucking launched a token rugged for 50 mils and decided to go to sleep and never woke up.
[0:05:14] Dave @DCBK2LA: There's been so much that's been going on, man. I've just been reading some of these headlines. I've been looking on the timeline. Cool. I know that you're making some crazy ass moves on the airdrop front, bro. Man, I'm excited to kinda get into this. Samara is definitely getting fired before he shows up. Everybody's, that's it, being demoted. Shout out to Nat Nat, guys. If you haven't, just shoot Nat Nat a note. You know? She's doing well. Everything is good. You know what I'm saying? But make sure that you guys shoot Nat Nat a note. Let her know you're thinking about her, obviously. Like, she is fucking the core of this ATC joint here that we do every single week. And for those that have been asking, hell no. We are not even close to filling that fucking spot. Like, y'all are crazy. Nana is the staple of this show, and she will remain that way forever
[0:06:00] Kool @koolcryptovc: and ever.
[0:06:02] Dave @DCBK2LA: So stop asking me. Second, let's just say what's up. Cool crypto. What is good, my brother? How are we doing, bro?
[0:06:09] Kool @koolcryptovc: Hey. What's going on? Happy happy happy red bloody Monday. And you and you said... The Hawk told girl, boy, she's awake, man. She's on Instagram dancing ass off, man. She's she's left. She left Twitter. She rubbed you guys a 15 mil. She's on Instagram dancing ass off, making videos there. So she's not asleep, man. She's wide awake, bro.
[0:06:32] Dave @DCBK2LA: Oh, shit. I guess 15 mils will make you do that. Right? Shit. I'd dancing a jig on TikTok, Instagram, everywhere but crypto, Twitter. Come here and deal with d z. I put my life savings in this issue with me. What kind of fool are you? You put your life savings into Haktua? Man, I don't know if anybody saw that interview, but that shit was crazy. My man was like, I got enamored by the token Haktua, and, it took all my life to say, motherfucker. Get out of here. You deserve what you got. Stupid ass. Unbelievable. Landy, what is good, bro?
[0:07:05] Landy @CryptoLandy: Nothing much. I'm I'm good. Just, enjoying the the opposite trade for a little bit here. Nice red day across markets. A lot of people attributing this to the news when we've literally been going straight up since November 5. So, yeah, it's it's kinda interesting to watch the tiers on the timeline. And, you know, we've been talking about these larger corrections coming, and, you know, Bitcoin hasn't even really had that large of a correction. It had a bigger correction last Thursday in one candle after making a new all time high than than even this moved down. But a lot of people scared because of some new stuff, so they're associating some of this price action with that when markets were really extended and needed this pullback. So... But, yeah, I'm looking forward to the conversation. You know, a lot of people got their money hop took, not hop to it. They just got kinda grifted, and I... I'm wondering what's gonna happen with that. That's a pretty interesting situation. I I heard something, and, Dave, you'll have to let me know cool as well. Is there some sort of lawsuit that was filed?
[0:08:20] Kool @koolcryptovc: Oh oh, yeah. Oh, yeah. There... There's stuff coming. There's, like, five, six lawyers, man, coming after this segment for real.
[0:08:26] Landy @CryptoLandy: Oh, man.
[0:08:27] Dave @DCBK2LA: Yeah. Holy shit. Dude, this shit was crazy. If anybody was on that space, was fucking amazing, bro. I was actually on there where doc doc Hollywood was like, nothing was wrong, man. We we... You know, we spent... You know, our tokens are vested for at least a year with a... Three years with a one year cliff. It's like, motherfucker, you really you really take us for schmucks? Like, sir... Like, you telling me you're gonna be... You think this meme has one year staying power. Like, are you high? Like... And literally, as somebody came up and started asking questions, she was like, hey, everybody. I'm tired. So, sorry, Nick. Sorry to interrupt you, but, I'm going to sleep. See y'all later. Okay? Bye. Literally just fucking disconnected the space never to be seen from again on crypto Twitter apparently, but she dancing her ass off on fucking Instagram. Goddamn. That is some shit. I mean, you gotta... Man. But listen. They got 50 mil. I don't know what kind of lawsuits is that are coming. Who knows if it even comes? Like, I gotta be honest. Like, maybe this dude walks away with 50,000,000. If it's a lawsuit... I mean, $100,000,000. That's craziness. By no way am I endorsing that, by the way. Just wanna be clear with everybody. I'm just saying $50,000,000. That is... I mean,
[0:09:47] Kool @koolcryptovc: you gotta have balls of
[0:09:48] Dave @DCBK2LA: steel to literally rock for 50
[0:09:51] Voice F: Guys, y'all y'all y'all know that, like, on chain, there... There's evidence that somebody sniped 90% of the supply when it launched, and it wasn't their team. Right?
[0:09:59] Dave @DCBK2LA: Come on. Get the fuck out of here it wasn't their team. Then you gotta be stupid to launch a token, bro. Like, how do you get sniped for 90% of your shit? That means you're an amateur, and you should have never lost a token to begin with. But what's up that made... What happened, man?
[0:10:09] Landy @CryptoLandy: It wasn't 90% of their supply was sniped. It was their... It was the released supply that got sniped. It wasn't 90%. They're holding back most of the supply.
[0:10:19] Voice F: Right. Well well, that's I'm saying. Like like, they haven't, like, sold. She hasn't sold.
[0:10:24] Dave @DCBK2LA: Bro, unless we're living under a fucking rock here. Let me tell you how this works. Okay? You can sit here and
[0:10:30] Kool @koolcryptovc: and and say, oh, we don't
[0:10:31] Dave @DCBK2LA: know whose wallets those are. These are our wallets. Right? Ain't nobody who... Whose wallets those were gonna come out and say, oh, yeah. This was ours. When you release your own token, this ain't fair launch. Right? Like, you created this token. They they had a very clear plan from Git. I I don't wanna hear shit about, oh, but they're good. Let me ask you a question, Sow... Sowiz. And by the way, welcome to ATC, by way.
[0:10:51] Voice F: For the record for the record, bear with me. I know I have a hot take. I apologize
[0:10:55] Kool @koolcryptovc: for No.
[0:10:55] Dave @DCBK2LA: No. Bro, I like this. I like this, bro. Opinion. You
[0:10:58] Voice F: know? No. I I think the girl has been given a hard a hard time, and I don't think she knows what the fuck's going on,
[0:11:02] Dave @DCBK2LA: to be frank. I don't think it's her. Like, she don't know shit from shit about the blockchain. We ain't... Ain't nobody played the game
[0:11:09] Voice H: on her,
[0:11:09] Voice L: but even
[0:11:09] Voice F: done it. I think it was dumb that she even, like, chose to go this route. You know what I mean? Because without having a deep understanding of all this shit, you shouldn't be trying to do this. You know? Like... But go ahead. I'm sorry.
[0:11:20] Dave @DCBK2LA: No. You're good, man. This looks... This is a tale as old as time. Right? Like, you see guys like Doc and whoever else. Right? And to be honest, like, actually thought Doc was one of the good guys out here. You know what I'm saying?
[0:11:30] Kool @koolcryptovc: But, like,
[0:11:30] Dave @DCBK2LA: when you... Yeah. When you see an opportunity, though... Like, this is thing. When you see an opportunity like this, like, this is what people capitalize on. Right? But, Satwave, let let... Let me ask you a question. Right? Would you put in place a a three year lockup with a one year cliff, right, like, for Haktua Meme Coin? Like, put in all this work and all this effort, and then you can't sell shit for a year?
[0:11:54] Voice F: I don't think I would. No. No. I would I would definitely put one in, but not one that long. That kinda even makes it seem weird just because, like, this isn't a utility player or some sort of, like like, revenue generating opportunity. Like like, what what are gonna do for the next year? That that... That's kinda sus. That's kinda sus. I can do that.
[0:12:12] Dave @DCBK2LA: Yeah.
[0:12:13] Landy @CryptoLandy: Well, there's also
[0:12:13] Voice F: I I do think that we should be attacking publicly and privately the person who hired her to act as a KOL and not her. I haven't even heard his name one time, but there was another guy on the space with Coffeezilla talking for the project. Why don't we know that guy's name, and why aren't we attacking him? The guy that obviously does know what he's doing and obviously took advantage of a fucking idiot chick who happened to accidentally get famous. That... That's all I'm saying. I'm saying is that dude
[0:12:42] Landy @CryptoLandy: Here's why, Saddam.
[0:12:43] Voice F: His fault, not her.
[0:12:45] Landy @CryptoLandy: I I agree with you. Look. Look. Look. I agree with you. And I think many people actually do. Where she's getting... The reason why she's getting drugged is because she was the face of this. And I I will grant, you and anyone else who has the same take of, like, she's being taken for a ride. But this ignores the... You know, she's not a tokenomics person. She's not looking into this stuff. They presold 17% of the supply to a very small set of holders, likely their own wallets. Right? This team with the Cayman Island, Dow, and, like, all this other crap. And then they sold 3% of that supply to the public. So you have 20% supply with a 17% supply from presale that they raised money from. They added, liquidity to the pool to earn fees off of. So you've got this this insider cabal that essentially... We don't know if it was truly presold or if they just presold it to themselves and funded the liquidity pool and then dropped 3% of the supply and then dumped all of that, which still half that supply is hanging out there. Because the the the actual tokenomics, the way that breaks down is pretty interesting. When you presell, you know, from what they've been putting out there in terms of what they presold, and they're saying, like, oh, no. 96, 97% of the supply is still still all locked up. No. It's not. They presold 17% of it, and then they public sold 3% of it. That 17% sold out half and dumped on the market. So that was that 180 to 250, which is still debatable because a lot of those were were related wallets. And the dev team, it all links back to the dev team wallets too. So that's what the biggest problem is. When it comes to her, she can probably get away with, you know, throwing her hands up and saying that these guys were advising me. They set up all the corporations, and I'm there doing the coal stuff. Like, I was told that I was gonna get paid a $150,000 and that I would get tokens on the back end that would be worth x amount of dollars down the line. It's it's a really unfortunate situation. And for Doc, he's been around this space for a while, and he's been known to do these kinda shitty tokenomic schemes that have always ended up in rugs anyway.
[0:14:57] Voice F: Oh, is that the guy's name?
[0:14:58] Landy @CryptoLandy: Yeah. Doc Hollywood. The other
[0:15:00] Voice F: guy It's all making clear to the... Everyone here that we should be posting fuck this dude, Doc Hollywood. Not... I mean, not to say he's his fault, but, like, fuck that guy. He knows what he's doing, and he still fuck people.
[0:15:11] Landy @CryptoLandy: It's the other dev too. And I... I'll... You have to forgive me. I don't remember his name, but he's been around a little bit as well. Obviously, he's under a different account. But, somebody had tracked down his name and even some of his wallet stuff. So, you know, the real on chain sleuths are heavily looking into this. And, yes, I think she's getting a raw deal, but she also handled it in a really inappropriate way. And then Get Rich Nick, who I think is absolutely hilarious, had really... He was the one who came up on stage when she was like, oh, well, time for bed, everybody. And then just... He straight up ghosted the entire space. And then, of course, he had his own fun over the over the
[0:15:53] Dave @DCBK2LA: the weekend with Did he tape his dick to a wall or something?
[0:15:56] Landy @CryptoLandy: Got thrown out of an avalanche event? So the Justin Sun thing... Yeah. He he he emulated the Justin Sun banana thing, but it was his dick painted yellow. And there's a really good... Do you know Bold Dionitis, the the the comic artist? He had a really funny panel that he did. I'm gonna post it up here for everybody. I got a kick out of it. But... Yeah. I... And I apologize. I didn't mean to, like, take over the conversation for me, sadly. I just wanted to, like, say, like, I agree with you. I agree
[0:16:28] Voice F: with that you're, like, you know, thorough and and and rational in in your explanation because all I'm saying here is is I'm not saying she's not fucking retarded. Okay? Let's let's be honest, guys. She got famous for for for for spitting on that thing. You understand? So, like, I'm not defending her. I'm not simping for Hakatua girl. I'm just simply saying that, like, I'm not going to put in jail the guy that happened to be in the room when a murder happened. I'm gonna put in jail the murderer. And, like, you know, the the beast of attention goes both ways, so she kinda, like, asked this upon herself. But that doesn't, like, that doesn't... A ferry, Doc Hollywood, whoever else away from, like, fucking... Like like like, the deserving of all this
[0:17:14] Landy @CryptoLandy: And there's, like, those 17 other devs or whatever they said. We got off on the project. That's where the liquidity pool went. Where did the money go? It went on
[0:17:22] Voice F: Can you imagine 17 dudes in one room just to click deploy on fucking moonshot? Holy shit.
[0:17:27] Landy @CryptoLandy: Yeah. Oh my god. I
[0:17:29] Dave @DCBK2LA: That was difficult, bro. We did it, guys.
[0:17:34] Dave @DCBK2LA: Alright, guys. Listen. Let's let let let... Let's get into some of the more relevant stories. Let's... You know, we had our little comedy hour. Let me just say what's up to Linus. Linus, how are you? Welcome.
[0:17:45] Voice H: I'm beautiful. How are you boys and girls? What's going on?
[0:17:49] Dave @DCBK2LA: Yes. You are as always. Yeah. No. We're chilling. We're chilling. Excited to kinda get into this... These conversations over here. We were just chatting about Hakuto, girl, but we're we're past that now. We're gonna we're gonna keep it moving. None of this nonsense anymore. Like
[0:18:01] Voice N: What what did I miss? What did I miss?
[0:18:03] Dave @DCBK2LA: Oh, no. No. No. We're we're not going backwards. We are not going backwards, Latinas. We're gonna go forward.
[0:18:07] Voice N: Okay. I just... I heard something
[0:18:09] Voice H: about Justin's bananas, so I was like, this is when I ate things.
[0:18:15] Voice L: Wait. Wait. It seems like she's excited to talk about the banana thing. Let's
[0:18:19] Voice H: do that.
[0:18:19] Voice N: Okay. It's an honest guy.
[0:18:21] Voice H: It's like, you know where I stand in my high palms, high heels. I do believe that Tron is the Tesla Web and I think that was, like, one of the best marketing moves. I don't care what anybody says. So that's just my, you know, personal opinion. It's an attention grabbing economy. So I see you guys are talking about it, so it works. So that's how I look at it.
[0:18:41] Dave @DCBK2LA: Guys, listen. I could sit here and listen to Linus talk about a fucking banana all day every day. But, like, let's be serious.
[0:18:47] Voice N: Let's let's let's talk about banana. Let's take it to the next level.
[0:18:53] Dave @DCBK2LA: That will get me in trouble out here. Alright. Listen. Let's talk let's talk real...
[0:18:57] Voice L: Hey, Dave. What's the problem with the bananas?
[0:18:59] Dave @DCBK2LA: There is no problem with bananas, Bambricks. There's no
[0:19:02] Voice H: problem with the bananas.... Talking about anything that they were...
[0:19:05] Voice F: They they they, like, succeeded. The fact that we're even talking about it. They they they did what they did.
[0:19:10] Voice N: That's what I'm trying to tell you. You guys still don't get it. Like,
[0:19:13] Dave @DCBK2LA: you Guys, guys we talked about the ban... 6.2... I've talked about this $6,200,000 banana ad nauseam. I can't even look at bananas anymore. Like, forget it.
[0:19:22] Voice N: See, I will never look at bananas.
[0:19:26] Voice H: Wasn't that some
[0:19:27] Voice F: douchey thing to do? Like like, that was, I mean, that was, like, next level rich guy douchiness. I I was... I I couldn't believe when I saw that.
[0:19:34] Dave @DCBK2LA: Listen. People are talking about it. That's all that counts. Listen. We're moving on. No no no no banana talk.
[0:19:38] Voice H: One more thing. Listen. He would have paid much more to some freaking marketing agency to do some TV ads and, like, acts as... I'm telling you. This was the brilliant move. Anyway, let's move forward.
[0:19:49] Dave @DCBK2LA: Let's go. Yeah. Yeah. Let let let's keep this let's keep this train moving because there was enough shit out here on the timeline, and everything else.
[0:19:57] Voice L: Wait. Dave, when you when you say move... Really, a very important word. When you said move forward on a banana curve, how do you know it's up
[0:20:04] Dave @DCBK2LA: and down? Motherfucker. Listen to me. This is not the DJ Bitcoin spaces. Bro, you can't be. We had a
[0:20:09] Voice L: good Okay. Okay. I thought I'd go to my room. Oh, okay. This is sincere. And what do you want?
[0:20:14] Dave @DCBK2LA: Yeah. We... Listen. You gotta
[0:20:16] Voice L: Okay. Listen. Hackers, Lee, the market is doing wonderful. Now what happened is with the with the bell curve of... Well... Yeah.
[0:20:23] Voice H: Okay. What happens with bananas taste? It's coconut.
[0:20:27] Dave @DCBK2LA: Yeah. I'm a fucking trying to hijack this show. I'm a tell you real quick. It ain't gonna go down. Alright? Just
[0:20:31] Voice L: to Okay. Just ask a sincere question. What what
[0:20:34] Dave @DCBK2LA: Get out here. What do you mean, bro? I run the show here. Lindy.
[0:20:38] Voice L: So start driving, and you're talking about bananas. You invited me, and everyone talking about bananas here.
[0:20:42] Dave @DCBK2LA: Oh my god. Zip it up.
[0:20:43] MAR @MARx24x: Pembrokes before
[0:20:44] Voice H: I thought
[0:20:44] Dave @DCBK2LA: it's all good. It's
[0:20:45] Voice F: all good.
[0:20:46] Landy @CryptoLandy: Get rich Nick had a beautiful take on the banana
[0:20:50] Dave @DCBK2LA: snack.... Snack.
[0:20:51] Landy @CryptoLandy: And it's beautiful. Okay. But you know what's interesting is, crypto and what's happening in the industry today. So, Dave, what's been going on?
[0:21:00] Dave @DCBK2LA: Oh, I was gonna say, if you're about to hijack this show, was about to be like, cool. Where's fucking... Where's my backup at? Like, where are Bane at? So I don't have to mute everybody. You know what I'm saying? I hate the mute button. Let's talk about the first thing, honestly, because I saw this shit, and I was just like, yo. I don't know if Peter Schiff is literally just trolling everybody. If he literally just does it for engagement, but he's like, oh, Bitcoin is now Yes. You bet... Listen to me. That's enough.
[0:21:24] Voice L: You No. I'm talking about it. I...
[0:21:25] Dave @DCBK2LA: That's enough now. You gotta let me finish a sentence, my bro. Come on, Bambricks. Chill. You gotta let me finish at least one question... A point, bro.
[0:21:34] Landy @CryptoLandy: Points? I heard points. What? Oh my god.
[0:21:37] Dave @DCBK2LA: Bro, and he leaves the space. Get out of here, bro. Like, give me a break. Oh my god. I hate when I have to do that. Takes a lot out of me. You know? It's like a bouncer, like throwing somebody out of the club. It's like, bro, get
[0:21:51] Voice H: the fuck out
[0:21:51] Dave @DCBK2LA: of you. Enough. I I I didn't throw him out of the space, just FYI. I just wanted to be normal. Nat, we miss you. Please not come back. We need the police back. I I can't do this by myself. Please not come back. Anyways, Peter Schiff. Cool. I don't know if you saw these comments, but he's now saying that Bitcoin has now officially become... And and I want us to compare kind of, like, these comments against what Sailor is saying. Right? Because on one hand, you have Michael Sailor being like, yo. This is how we leverage what we have as The United States. Sell all the gold that we have in the reserve, make Bitcoin the national reserve currency, and everybody else and every other nation that's obviously holding... Ben Breaks are gonna chill down there. That... And every other nation that is obviously holding gold, boom. Done deal. Seems pretty simple from, like, Michael Seiler's side. But then you look at Peter Ship, and he's just like, this has now become one of, like, the most riskiest things that that that our government can do. I don't know if y'all saw these comments. I'm kinda curious. Like, cool. Where do you stand on on both these sides?
[0:22:49] Kool @koolcryptovc: Yeah. Is irrelevant now. You have... You you guys have to realize there's a lot of noise right now. I mean, when you've lost a battle, accept your loss, and move on. That's kinda how I see it, but I don't I don't think... I guess nothing to talk about anymore, man. There's nothing... An asset's going from 0 to 2,000,000,000,000 in ten years. I mean, twelve years. I I don't know what... There's nothing else to say. I think all this noise is just for is just for sure. The... If you look at what's going on, countries are buying, whales are buying, Djinn Djinn Djinn are still here. The young people are interested in something like this. But at at at the end of the day, it's entertaining. Don't get me wrong. And, I mean, I I don't... I used to watch this stuff about, well, years ago, but now I'm in a different place, man. I don't even... I don't give this shit no no more attention because it doesn't make any difference to you to you right now. Because this same guy, leadership was was telling people Bitcoin was crap as 2 k. Bit... Bitcoin was crap at 5 k. Bitcoin was crap at 10 k. Bitcoin... Bitcoin's crap was 20 k at 50 k, not a 100 k. Like, like, you don't even... Look. It's very simple. Just focus on on on the real the real news, not the bullshit noise, man. You you had the Federal Reserve itself, the head of the Fed, saying Bitcoin is like gold. That's 17 x, basically, from from from gold. It's gonna flip gold eventually. Don't know when it's gonna happen. Countries are buying. I saw... I I report today one of some government of... Official in Russia was urge... Urging Putin to put Bitcoin on the on the Russian reserve. This is not this is not a joke, man. So, you know, I I I guess I I really... I think what what kinda what kinda gets you mad honestly is them giving shift a platform still. Because he... I mean, when you're wrong, you're wrong. Move on, man. But I get it. He's built his whole up and... I mean, I get it. But, I mean, he's intellectually dishonest. Can you imagine how much people he cost money? Because, I mean, he he has a big platform. A lot of, you know, OG or older people listen to this dude, man. Imagine how how many... How much money he cost them because he spoke bad about Bitcoin at at $500... At a $100. This thing went to 103,000 in ten years. It's crazy. So, I mean, like I said, I I don't even know. I mean, it's entertaining. Don't get me wrong, but, man, I don't talk about shit. Actually, I I I blocked him. I blocked shit, like, four years ago. I don't... I have no idea what he talks about. I don't even know. I I don't watch him. I don't listen to him because, man, people like this have cost people generational money, man. It's crazy.
[0:25:45] Dave @DCBK2LA: Yeah. Good points, bro. Anything on the Michael Sailor front, in terms of what he mentioned? Right? Like, when I watched that interview with him, I was just like, holy shit. Sailor literally makes a great point where it's just like, if we become... If we lead from the front with Bitcoin, at the end of the day, like, sell the fucking gold reserves and every... Because it's it's the unspoken... It's not unspoken. It's like, it's a note... Like, every country now has massive vic... Like, gold reserves. Is this actually something that makes sense so cool? And then I'm gonna go to Linus real quick.
[0:26:13] Kool @koolcryptovc: Yeah. I mean, I... I'm not... To be honest with I'm not even sure because they... You don't need they don't need to to sell gold. They don't... I I mean, The US has no money. It prints their own dollars, man. Come on. They don't need to sell gold. And if they do, it might be a small amount, but this is gonna happen. Whether we like it or not, the Bitcoin is gonna be part of the freaking reserve, man. When you're having the Russians doing it or the Chinese possibly doing this, or maybe they already have, we don't know, but it's gonna happen. It doesn't matter of when. But I I mean, I don't know about selling gold, though, for Bitcoin, but I think you... They they better off selling selling a a useless asset, which is, cash for Bitcoin, not necessary... Necessarily selling gold. And if they do, it doesn't... It... Bro, bro, it's gonna happen. Like, there's no doubt because this conversation is getting louder and louder and louder. And just remember, we... All these big money back sat there at Bitcoin at $10. They looked at this shit go from $10 to a $100, and they're going to take action right now. I mean, Bitcoin has flipped multiple companies, multiple banks, multiple whatever. I mean, it's... I think it's number number six or seven, biggest asset in the world. There's... The... Like, it's... This is this is... It's Checkmate, man. It's already Checkmate. It's a matter it's a matter of when, not if.
[0:27:35] Dave @DCBK2LA: Facts. Yeah. Linus, go for it.
[0:27:37] Voice H: No. I mean, you nailed it. Like, I joked that Bitcoin became a meme of countries. Like, Putin just said, like, it is unstoppable. I I mean, for those who don't know, I'm Russian, so I do watch the news in both languages as well. So, like, like, I just would ignore the noise. And, of course, he's doing it, you know, for engagements similar to Banana. And... But at the same time, like, with all my respect to Sailor, I actually, and I was the one who was telling, you know, companies and hedge funds to get into Bitcoin, like, over seven years ago. I also think that it's a little bit of a disservice not to advise companies to diversify, and I don't like when company... Bitcoin is being compared to gold. And, yes, Bitcoin already outperformed silver as we know. But, like, I think we need to still educate people that Bitcoin is so much more that, you know, gold, number one. But I would say if I were to advise any Fortune 500 company or anyone, I would also advise to diversify across other, you know, digital assets. And I know there are some, you know, probably BTC Max is in the room, and they're gonna hate me for that. But at the same time, the highest, you know, hyper growth is not coming from Bitcoin. Right? If I'm looking at the trajectory and hyper growth in a shorter period of time, so I would still advise. And I can see that too. I can see it even with the bigger players. You know, you do know who are the biggest Bitcoin holders. Right? Be be... Besides, you know, US government, Grayscale Investments, MicroStrategy, BlackRock just obtained, what, 2, 2 more billion. But also they are, you know, expanding to Ethereum and Solana. And, again, if you look Solana, it could from from a gross, you know, standpoint. So I'm kind of a, diversification kinda girl, and I do believe that, you know, the future is multi chain. And I also do believe that, but this is more a philosophical topic that he's inviting banks, you know, to the table to custody Bitcoin, and I do appreciate that, you know, government needs to store Bitcoin somewhere. But if if it's gonna go to Coinbase, like, the whole question about custody, which is a completely different conversation because if you're a true purist, you do realize you don't need banks for that. But, anyway, that was just my two satoshes. Thank you.
[0:30:00] Dave @DCBK2LA: Yeah. You got a line. That's good points. Lendi, and then we'll go to what Sadwit.
[0:30:04] Landy @CryptoLandy: So, just to kinda catch up to what Sailor actually said because some might not actually know what he said. When he was, talking about one of his more recent interviews was selling off The US gold reserves and investing that into potentially a controlling stake in the Bitcoin network and Bitcoin itself. Kind of a two pronged approach, from mining and holding. But, essentially, what that would do is would nuke gold across the world. It it would it would drive the price down to absolutely nothing in comparison as that liquidity rolled over into Bitcoin. And then, of course, the Bitcoin is a treasury reserve asset that strengthens the dollar. And what's interesting is is we just had, you know, El Salvador, has a lot of gold, and they potentially have, you know, about, what is it, trillion dollars or more worth of gold under the ground there that if they were to if they were to mine that, would would massively dilute, the supply of gold as well. And it's funny because, the El Salvadorian president, Bukele, actually responded to a post that says, yeah. And we will dilute that thing like there's no tomorrow. So it's very interesting because this kind of falls in line with some of the, well, direct threats that Trump has made towards BRICS nations. And we know that BRICS nations have been loading up on what? Gold. So this is a kind of an interesting shift that we're seeing. There... I said shift shift. We... That that kind of, you know, kinda crosses over from the political the the political and monetary and social spheres. So it's... What a time to be alive. I'm I'm just enjoying the ride and the and the narrative surrounding the ride right now. I do think that, you know, between China and many other, countries that have found all of a sudden these massive veins of gold, these massive deposits of gold, that that is something that could possibly be going on in the background is some kind of talk about this. But gold is an actual resource that we do need. So we should hold some of it because it's valuable in many different ways in terms of especially electronics and stuff like that. So, yeah, I'm I'm just enjoying the the talk around it. And, you know, Bitcoin is going to outperform and will continue... It has been outperforming and will continue to outperform in the future. So
[0:32:44] Dave @DCBK2LA: Good.
[0:32:44] Landy @CryptoLandy: Sure. Yeah,
[0:32:45] Dave @DCBK2LA: man. Great points. I appreciate the clarification, Landy. Thank you for the details, bro. And for anybody that just tuned in, like, we... I heard Landy mention, obviously, Naeem, Bukele. Like, we're gonna talk El Salvador as well. Obviously, they entered into an agreement with the IMF, aka, fucking, the. But I guess we're gonna see how this shit's gonna go down. I don't like it. Me neither. Cool. I'm with you, bro. A $1,300,000,000 loan agreement. We'll transition to that right after this. But, yeah, I don't know. Listen. I trust Naive, but we're gonna... We'll we'll get into it. But, Sadwave, I don't wanna pass you out, man. Go for it if you wanna throw your 2¢ in here.
[0:33:22] Voice F: No. I just... I feel like... You know, I I don't know if y'all know this, but Tether's been just, like, dry federal reserving it and just minting the hell out of USDC and just putting it all into Bitcoin here recently. Like, they've done it, like, a lot. Like like like, a lot. And I feel like the government should just do the same thing. I feel like we should just go print another billion dollars, $10,000,000,000, a trillion dollars, and just buy Bitcoin with it. Because we're already in, like, a a death race to zero. Hyperinflation is a real thing. You know? What... What's this shit called? The the the Myanmar in the forties and stuff where where every two months and... At some point, every other day, the money was was decreasing by by twice. Right? We're headed that way. There's no other, like... There's no, like, saving it. You can't just, like, fix that shit. So I feel like we should just... I mean, low key, we should just expedite that process and just buy a bunch of Bitcoin now while that's a $100,000. Right? Because I don't... I'm not sure if it's as much that Bitcoin is going up. Is... It may be that the dollar is going down. And and I'm not sure that that, like, that that dichotomy is, like, explained very well to any of us. I'm not even sure that's true. I I feel like that's probably more true than than than not. Right? But but... Yeah.
[0:34:36] Dave @DCBK2LA: Wait. I'm I'm I'm confused as to what what... And to be clear, you said Tether is is minting. I saw Tether obviously minting in their treasury another billion dollars, but they are now audited, by the way. Right? Like, there are financials. They do show proof of reserves in the whole nine yards. So that is being backed by, well, I guess, the full faith in Treasury. And credit of the US government at the end of the day. Right? And that's Tether. Right? It's not USDC. It's USDT. I just wanted to clarify that.
[0:35:02] Voice D: Oh my god.
[0:35:02] Kool @koolcryptovc: Yeah. Yeah.
[0:35:03] Voice H: Go
[0:35:03] Dave @DCBK2LA: ahead. But wanna make sure that I understand what you're saying, Sadwave, in terms of, like, you're not sure if the price of Bitcoin is going up or the dollar is going down. Price of Bitcoin going up relative to the dollar. I think we talk about this a lot. Maybe this is a good clarification to make in terms of, like, until we start pricing things in Bitcoin. Right? Like, I mean, El Salvador is the perfect case, right, where it's, like, where it was mandatory to essentially, like, accept Bitcoin. Right? Until we start pricing things in Bitcoin, there's always going to be that dollar. So I get what you're saying, but let's not get crazy and sound the alarm and be like, oh my god. Like, the world... Like, you... The US is not gonna be the world reserve currency for the next, like, two decades. You know what I'm saying? It doesn't... That shit doesn't happen overnight no matter how many of these BRICS countries wanna get together. I think this is the kind of chess game that's that's that's going on right now. So I just kinda wanted to clarify that just a little bit. For sure.
[0:35:51] Voice F: I guess I air on the side of not being optimistic on that specific point.
[0:35:58] Dave @DCBK2LA: No. No. I'm with you. That's what Bitcoin is there for. Yeah. Go ahead, Lind. You wanna make a point?
[0:36:02] Landy @CryptoLandy: Yeah. Yeah. I mean, look. And I understand what you're trying to say. One of the big things is, you know, right now, the the US dollar is is kinda sideways in in terms of relative strength while Bitcoin is massively up. In the very, very long term, the US dollar has... Eventually, it's trending towards zero in the very, very long term. In the near term, you know, that that that that correlation and causation of the dollar going down is what led to Bitcoin being implemented and and and and put out there for the world, right, by Satoshi and other contributors. And this is something where, you know, one of the big things I think that really has to be understood about what Trump is trying to do with putting Bitcoin in... You know, hopefully, putting Bitcoin in the treasury as a reserve asset is actually to strengthen the actual treasuries, the treasury notes. Right? And then you have the... And I've said this a million times now. I know everybody's sick of hearing it, but it's that dollar to Bitcoin trade. For every dollar that goes into book... Bitcoin from there, if you have Bitcoin in all these treasuries for these big countries, like The United States, China, Russia, so on and so forth, what ends up happening is all of the fiat currency that goes into Bitcoin strengthens the fiat currency because Bitcoin is now backing that fiat currency through... Via the treasury systems. So, you know, I don't I don't foresee a future personally, at least not in the near term where we see, like, the dollar kind of going away. In fact, this might be a fight to get the dollar back on track. I don't know if that's gonna be successful, obviously, but you can't go wrong having Bitcoin as a treasury reserve asset, and you can't go wrong having Bitcoin in your cold storage wallet no matter what because of the leverage play that you have versus every other asset on Earth because of its, you know, it's finite, it's deflationary, and there's only... You know, it's secure and auditable. So, you know, there's a lot of these these things that I think we we harp on, looking at the strength of the dollar and risk on versus risk off assets. And I think what that is going to do eventually is change the dynamics from the, from something like Bitcoin being seen as risk on to being risk off, if if that makes sense.
[0:38:28] Dave @DCBK2LA: Yeah. Definitely does. It definitely does. There's a lot of... Obviously, there's a lot of factors that go into this whole into this whole shit at the end of the day. And for us to say that, like, we have everything nailed down, I think, like, we're trying to just gauge general market sentiment. Right? Understand and interpret public policy at the end of the day and and really what direction we see it going in. But, you know, the the the the the finite and the minute... And the minutiae and the details. Right? Like, some of the stuff that we'll probably never know, but we just gotta make our best guesses out here. That's that... That's kinda what we're doing. But, I mean, the writing is on the wall for us. We see it. MicroStrategy just bought another 21,000 and change Bitcoin for another $2,100,000,000. And Sailor literally is unapologetic and is literally saying, I will continue to buy the top. Like, I do not care. Like, because for him, he genuine... Like, there is... Like, you wanna talk about conviction. Look at the title of the space, right, where we said the red days are for buying, not selling. You wanna talk about conviction. My man, Sailor, has, like, the most conviction I've seen out of anybody out here, and he's putting his money where his mouth is, and he's raising money at a ridiculous pace. So, apparently, it's not just him. Right? There are other people that are out there in the trad fi world that are saying, wow. Okay. Like, we wanna get behind this. But let's transition. I wanna I wanna talk about this, the Naive Bukele story and this whole IMF news thing. Right? Because this is something where... Look. I believe in Naeem as a leader. I think what he did way back when, like, he literally zigged when everybody was zagging. Right? If y'all remember when Bitcoin was down at 20,000 or 25,000, whatever it was. And he was like, we're putting in a couple 100,000,000 into this thing, and, like, this, like, this is gonna be, the current... Like, our currency, our national currency. And today, we got... And everyone was like, oh my god. Yeah. And and everyone was bashing them back then when the bit... When, like, he was underwater at one point. I forgot what it was, and now he's looking like a genius. Right? And now all of a sudden, it's I see the story. It says El Salvador to adjust Bitcoin policy for 1,300,000,000 IMF loans. So let me kinda summarize this for you guys. Okay? So this whole thing, right, this new agreement that they have with the IMF, it says businesses will no longer be legally required to accept Bitcoin as payment. The government is also committed to increasing its financial reserves from 11,000,000,000 to 15,000,000,000 to strengthen economic stability. El Salvador has accumulated Bitcoin in its national reserves with president Bukele frequently purchasing price dips. The value of these reserves was reported at over 600,000,000 last month, representing a 127% gain according to Bukele's media... Social media updates. But the whole gist is they are revising their crypto policy, making Bitcoin acceptance optional as part of a $1,300,000,000 loan agreement with the IMF. Look. I don't... Like, we can sit and speculate everything else, but it says El Salvador's decision to alter its policy would be part of a broader financial commitment required to secure the IMF loan. Says the government also plans to reduce its budget deficit by 3.5 percentage points of GDP over three years, spending cuts, and tax reforms, which I like. Right? That's great. It says the deal is expected to bring additional financial support, including a billion from the World Bank and another 1,000,000,000 from the Inter American Development Bank. So look. Naeem is obviously looking out for his people of El Salvador. Right? This is great. It's not so much, oh my god. This is a blow for Bitcoin. But, like, I look at this, and I'm saying to myself, like, Naive is kind of the guy that, like, set the tone for, like, these world leaders at this point. And when I look at the IMF, this is the IMF's way of saying, we're gonna throw some money at you right now, but also, like, don't make it mandatory because we still wanna have our hands kind of in these economies, in these developing world economies. I don't know how I feel about this, honestly, right now. Cool. Like, what do you make of this story, man? Like, I'm a little torn.
[0:42:13] Kool @koolcryptovc: Now, first of all, money talks, man. At the end of the day, money talks is all about the green. Right? I I would say that none of us know how to run a country. Right? So I can't really tell, you know, the president of a country somewhere else what to do or how to to to take care of his people. Well, I mean, I'm sure you guys have seen how bad, El Salvador was four, five, six, seven years ago. That was the number one murder capital of the world. This young 31 year old president came in and turned this country around. They... That country is actually safer than almost all the cities all the cities in The US. So he know... He knows what he's doing. I don't think... He's probably not selling Bitcoin. I don't think so. They... I think they they they actually even mining bit... Bitcoin from their volcanoes or shit like that. I don't even fucking know, man. But I I mean, what what I would say, this guy really... Is really, really smart. This play is just about get get some some more liquidity from the IMF. Of course, IMF is not necessarily good... A good place to go get money from. But I don't I don't... To my honest speech, I don't really see anything wrong with this, mate. They're just telling you, yo. We we... It's optional to accept Bitcoin. It's not it's not by force. Now you are forcing people to take it. And there there are... As long as as long as he holds Bitcoin, still he's fine, man. I think this might be a good move for his country. I don't think it's a bad move, though. But the IMF, man, they're in debt nations. That's what they do. They're known for this. So but I don't think he's stupid enough to to to to put his country into crazy deaths with working with IMF,
[0:43:58] Dave @DCBK2LA: but I I don't think
[0:43:58] Kool @koolcryptovc: it's a problem, man. No opinion.
[0:44:01] Dave @DCBK2LA: Yeah. No. Good good take, man. I'm telling you, I I was indifferent. I kinda just wanna hear, like, the different sides. But, yeah, Lenny, go for it, bro.
[0:44:08] Landy @CryptoLandy: Alright. Alright. Let me be the Bitcoiner that breaks all the other Bitcoin Maxi's brains right now. I love this. Why? Why do I love this? Because I've never been a proponent that Bitcoin was going to be the base exchange. Right? I... The money. I've always felt that Bitcoin would be held and huddled and then used as a backing asset to leverage against. And this is... If you look at the the the the leaks for the actual terms of the negotiation, he's literally doing what Sailor does with his shares, with his loans. This is a play to say, okay. Sure. We'll we'll give a little bit. We'll say that it's not mandatory because who wants to sell it anyway? When you can then take these loans and you can continue to use their money to buy more Bitcoin. Then you can back your own currency with this, and then you have a system where you are breaking away while using their liquidity to do so. I think it's brilliant. I think that that once the cat's out of the bag in this regard, you're gonna see many many other nations that need to capitalize their treasuries with Bitcoin do the same. He went Bitcoin first, and now he's in a power position where they want in. They want a piece of this pie. They came to him and mutually and said, hey. Let's go ahead and and let's capitalize it. 1,300,000,000 is not a lot. It's a lot for that country, but it's not a lot in the grand scheme of things. And then what it was, another billion or it's it's the two, Dave? Is it is it the two totals, the 1.3?
[0:45:52] Dave @DCBK2LA: No. It's 1.3 plus another one plus another 1,000,000,000 from another development... Like, another development fund that that they have.
[0:46:02] Landy @CryptoLandy: That's brilliant. Because now you've got 2,300,000,000 that you can play with and you can use as a backstop. You can use to get more Bitcoin to flush out the treasury. There's a million different ways that this can be taken. And which it... I think, honestly, that this is a play to do what we're hearing about here in The United States where you've got cities and states trying to front run and be the first to to have a treasury reserve asset of Bitcoin. And and this... Because the dollar trade in the Bitcoin, if the Cynthia Lumas Bitcoin act goes through, it's gonna put so much buying pressure on Bitcoin that whoever's selling just gonna immediately get their their sell orders filled, and this thing's just gonna march and march and march. So you gotta have some sort of capital to buy Bitcoin with. And if you don't have that capital, you gotta go borrow that capital. So you gotta rate... You gotta fundraise to do so. And if you gotta eat the IMF's lunch and make them capitulate to you, then by all means, please do it. Because it actually is mutually beneficial because then they get exposure indirectly to Bitcoin as well via having to... By by by having capital injected into El Salvador, they actually have a Bitcoin play. That's like buying treasuries if, if you are in The United States or outside of The United States and you wanna buy US treasuries and there's Bitcoin in the reserves, you have exposure now to Bitcoin. So you're not just the The United States war machine and the taxpayer debt. Now you've got exposure to Bitcoin and gold and whatever else. So I think this is brilliant. I love it, and I know the Bitcoin Maxis are gonna hate me for that. I'm probably getting DMs right now.
[0:47:47] Dave @DCBK2LA: Lynch him. Get him. Get, ladies. Yeah. Listen, bro. I mean, shit. We can't make comments out here without being fucking... Everything we is gonna be controversial. But, no, it's it's... Those are good... Those are great takes, I think, on both sides. But, yeah, I think it goes to Cool's point too. It's like, what the fuck do we know about running a country? Let's be serious. You know what I'm saying? Like, how the hell are we gonna sit up here and criticize naive? Like, are we high? Like, hell no. Like, we have no clue what the fuck we're... We're literally a bunch of talking PF. Let me shit. I'm a glowing green fucking PFP out here talking on Twitter spaces. What the hell do I know about fucking cleaning up a country about crime... You know what I'm saying? Like, can I help No?
[0:48:27] Kool @koolcryptovc: No, Joe. Like like, I I I was watching... I was like, I watched some videos with this dude, man. I mean, the... What what he did for his country is on fucking believable with the crime rate dropping the way he did, man. It... It's... I mean, MS thirteen basically ran the country. I mean... And he came in there a year or two years, and he wiped them the fuck out, man. I... It's it's it's just unbelievable. So if if he makes a decision like this, then I'm sure it's for a reason. So...
[0:48:56] Dave @DCBK2LA: Facts. Alright. I wanna transition to this story because this is something that actually hit home with me. Because believe it or not, like, I actually had this conversation with Nat Nat, and she had messaged me one day. She was like, Dave, I'm just curious. She was like, somebody reached out to me on Twitter, and was asking me about, like, a job and this and that, and we get these shits every fucking day. Right? Like, unless, like, you know, you have no activity on your account, you're getting messages from people being like, we wanna partner with you. We have a budget, and we wanna do this, and we wanna do that. And it's just like, what the fuck are we talking about here? This one in specific is very... Like, this one is sneaky because I actually went... Because I go through the whole process. Right? Like, when I... I can sniff this shit out pretty fast, but I like what... Them walking me through so that I can see step by step how this works. Okay? So let me kinda walk you guys through this story and set this up so we can hear what you guys have to say. And everybody, like, feel free. If you guys wanna come up, chime in on this. If you've been a victim of this, if this has happened to you, if you've reached... If they've reached out to you, I wanna hear, like, what you guys have to say. But cybercriminals are now targeting web three companies, individuals, perfect... Whatever the fuck you wanna call us with a super, super sophisticated scam. And this is how it works. It involves fake video conferencing applications. Okay? Not your typical Zoom, not your typical Google Meet. This is, hey. They reach out to you, right, some fictitious company, right, that has, like, a legit looking website that was generated probably by some AI, right, social media profile with some fake ass fucking followers. And what they're doing is they're saying, hey. I see that you're working with this, this, this. I have this NFT project, or I have this project, and we want to partner with you, but we wanna make sure that it's right. And they don't... And this one was sophisticated in the sense of how they reach out and how they speak to you. Right? And what I wanna I wanna be clear on this because everybody out here... When you get scammed, you're getting scammed. What you're doing is you're being socially engineered. Right? They're telling you things that they know you want to hear so you are more prone to take the action that they want you to ultimately take. Let's get that straight. Right? Social engineering is helping. People are not getting hacked. They're getting socially engineered, and they're giving up their data. So if you can understand how this works, you're gonna be better prepared. So this is what we wanna do now. Like, I'm gonna prepare you guys to deal with this bullshit. So what they do, they send you an... A a message, let's say, on Twitter. And what they do is they try and get you off of Twitter because Twitter has obviously, like... Whenever you're in with... You stay within the Twitter for... Even if you click on a link, right, it's opening into Twitter browser, right, if you're in your app. Number one. You... You're not gonna be able to download all this shit. Like, they can't do it because it's going via Twitter. So what do they do? They try and take you to Telegram. That is the first sign. When they say, let's move this conversation to Telegram, for what? There's no reason to move this to Telegram, but here's how it works. They move you over to Telegram, and what they do is they tell you, hey. I wanna meet up with you. There's this meeting app, and I'd like to chat with you about this quote opportunity. And what this does is that you'd... You... They'll say, like, what happened to me was, I'll send Google Meet. I can't access it in this country. I'm on a business trip in China. Motherfucker, Google works in China. I mean, VPN. I know everybody that's doing it. What are you talking about? Okay. What about Zoom? Man, it's not working. Can you try this one? And it's like meet.io or meeten, like, meeten or some crazy weird shit. And what they do is once you click on that on Telegram, the second you click on that shit and you download that, okay, and you're like, oh, I'm gonna go meet with these people. What happens is, like, the malware that gets installed is a complete... It's a completely counterfeit app, installs the malware. Right? And the name of the malware, it says such as real, realist information sealer is what it's called. And this is both Windows and Mac OS, and it extracts sensitive data and will drain all of your fucking crypto. This is massively sophisticated so people know. Right? They maintain these super elaborate sites. They have these monstrous Twitter accounts with, like, three, four, 500,000 followers, but it's all bullshit. It's all smoke and mirrors. You have to be able to see through this. But this software, again, capable of infecting both Windows and Mac OS, like, systems. Like, this is huge for p... Oh my god. I'm talking like Nat. Nat. Nat. This is huge because, like, at the end of the day, like, you can fall victim to this very easily, and Nat almost did. I remember the DM specific, and this was recently, guys. This was literally, like, a month or two months ago. She messaged me and was like, Dave, I wanna check with you first. She was like, I'm getting reached out to by this person, this person, this person. And for someone like Nat, right, like, who's now, like, literally, like, on ATC has come out and is, like, now all of a sudden, like, people see the talent that Nat has. Of course, she's gonna attract that. So if you're some sort of a public figure, you're out there and people see you're legitimate, that makes you a target. So I'm gonna put a pin in it now, and I wanna get these guys'... Like, I wanna hear everybody because I know that, like, definitely, Cool and Lampy have gotten this shit for sure. Maybe they just haven't had the time to go through it, but I went through it. I walked this. I got... In the words of fucking boiler room, I got every fucking rebuttal out of this guy. And I literally tell him at the end. I'm like, you piece of shit. You literally... Like, you spent all my time, and then they try and make me feel bad. They social... Try and social engineer. I'm like, motherfucker. This is my game. Get out of here. I do this shit, not you. But, anyways, cool. Tell me, have you been a fucking vic... A full vicar of
[0:54:28] Voice D: this shit?
[0:54:28] Kool @koolcryptovc: Of course, I have, bro. I don't I don't mention on Twitter, but I'm actually happy you brought this up. I I have seen this a lot. I think the more... Like you said, you are right, though. The more active you are on Twitter, the more you are target. I think if you hold spaces, if you... I don't know, man. I guess your whole spaces, you know, you... Your your your profile's getting bigger. You... They could see the engagement is getting bigger. Yeah. I've seen this. I had one female. She looked very attractive, you know, about PFT, talked about... She wants Google Meet. I was like, cool. I'll send me the link. Okay. Send me the link. Remember, I don't ever ever open a link on my on my on my laptop, my computer. All all the opening hope all openings happen on my phone, man. So I opened the link. I was like, man, this doesn't work. I messaged I messaged. I said, hey. Your link doesn't work. She sent me another one. Hey. Didn't work. I think she just gave up. She saw that I wasn't falling for or shit, but I I get this all the time, man. I think for me, you know, how how I've been able to protect myself is I'm not eager to make money. That makes sense. The people that fall for this shit are the people that wanna get rich today... Tomorrow. I'm not eager to get rich. I'm taking my... I take my sweet time. It's all good. I'm here for years. I'm not in any rush. So I do delete all these fucking messages when I when I when see them. It is very easy to to spot for me. Another one... Another trick that I use is whenever I see a page... A Twitter page that sends a message, they wanna collab, whatever, I go to their page. Look at who you who you guys have in common. I don't... I mean, I'm so active on crypto. There's no way we're not gonna have followers in common. So it it doesn't make it doesn't make any sense. Like, it's it's so this is what you do. Right? You you you you you go to their page on Twitter, check who the friends are in common. If this page is a scam, it's probably... You you guys are... Who who have zero Twitter... Zero friends in in common. If I go to... For example, now let me go to MSB's page right now. MSB's page. Let me click on this page. We have we have 60 common friends. I know MSB is legit. Let me... I'm gonna click one more. Let me go to someone that I don't even know. Or maybe I do know, Mamu. Maybe I don't I don't really talk to them. Let me go... Let me click on r e r e... Reese, our nuclear... Reese's page. Reese's page, we have 63 people in common. So this is how you know, right, if this page is legit. Just go to the to the page and check if you guys have a a common friend, and it's just easy to eliminate, man. But I I have been through this a lot, and I I I... I'm I'm very cautious every single time anyone sends me a message. I I never get get my hopes high. And the biggest thing is never be in a rush to make money. Don't let them blind you with an offer. Always question everything. Don't trust. Always verify, man. That's how... You know, I've been I've been able to protect myself all all these years, man. Just... It's fascinating, though, but I do know a lot of people do fall for this shit, man. But just be careful, guys. And if you're not sure, just post post it online or or call someone. DM me, DM Dave, DM someone that... That's been in here for a long time, and we should be be be be able to give you some some tips, man. Alright?
[0:58:07] Dave @DCBK2LA: Great points, bro. Yeah. Landy, have you gone through this also? And then we'll go MSB, and then we'll go sat, raven, chop.
[0:58:15] Landy @CryptoLandy: In the very early days, it's funny how, you know, these are... As sophisticated as this kind of social engineering tactic is, it's as old as time. It's just playing out in a technical manner with some malware that's pretty nasty. We've seen these types of things before. Me, personally, I've been lucky enough that this, happened to wallets that were dead wallets. You know, I don't often keep much in my hot wallets. I transfer to exchanges or connect directly to, DEXs via, air gapped, wallets, and that's what's kept me safe. I've had, you know, some smaller wallets get taken by some malicious links even within, like, Discords, especially when this stuff was going around in Discords, still does, where they take over a trusted person's account like the admin's account. Somehow they compromise their account, and then they post a link, and then you click it. And before you... You know, while it's loading, you're already you're already got. And, you know, I've had some things, stolen from me that way. I've been very fortunate that it hasn't been large amounts. But one of my biggest, tips is that if you're gonna follow any kind of a link the... And and much to... I don't have much to add that that you and Cole, you know, haven't talked about. But I sandbox. And Windows has a sandbox feature. There's, VirtualBox. There's, all kinds of other, if you're on Linux, there's there's different ways in which you can just have virtual machines. And you can make dummy wallets, and you can kinda check this stuff out. I do suggest that you do it on a computer that has never had even the base operating system have anything connected. So even then, like, you got an extra laptop or something else, you go and you you investigate on that stuff. You've never had wallets loaded on it, and you still use... You still sandbox it. That way, it can isolate the network as well. So this is, you know, it's it's tough. And this this is... You know, it happens during the bear market, and it happens even more during, the bull market. So just be very, very careful. Be very, very vigilant. Listen to what Dave and Cole just said. I don't really have too much to add. I'm sure that the other speakers up here have some more alpha to give you. I've been I've been fortunate, and I've had to help a lot of people that have had issues. In Bitcoin, specifically, one of the beautiful things is because there is ten minute block times, and sometimes longer, there is ways in which we were able to, you know, override those transactions and redirect them back to their sources And, particularly for those that have any experience in the ordinal scams are going on back in the spring, there was a lot of, like, drainers, and there was really talented developers that that, propped up tools like LIFO got some tools running that would help you snipe it back and stuff like that. Just really cool stuff out there. So make sure that if you ever do have something that happens, reach out to those that know, and they can... If they don't know directly, they might know somebody that might be able to help you, especially if it's a slower chain like, Bitcoin. And, yeah, just, you know, always be looking looking over your shoulder. It's it's not safe.
[1:01:48] Dave @DCBK2LA: Be vigilant. That's for sure. MSB, saw that you came up, man. What's good?
[1:01:53] Voice I: Yeah. Yeah. Good. Good. Good. How are you guys doing? Can you hear me?
[1:01:57] Dave @DCBK2LA: Yeah, man. We hear you okay. Little little muffled if you can. Maybe pull it away a a little bit, but, yeah, you good?
[1:02:02] Voice I: Okay. Cool. I'm sorry about that. How you guys doing? Cool. After you. Andy, how you doing? You you exactly actually pointed out what I needed to contribute. And what I always say is that these guys always take their time to build something that is always advanced, to always contact your security. And according to what I said, you just have to just... You might understand what sandbox means, but sometimes when I tend to use my system, one of the top browsers I use is actually Tor. If I used to I want to open any link at all, I just have to open it through Tor browser. In that sense, it helps me, you know, gives me a heads up, like, is this link secure or not? And at the same time, you just have to do more research on how you need to stay secure. Because I've had a couple of bad experiences in... Back in the days where where I had to click a link, and that link had actually arrested my system within that. It took over my system to the point that I can't access my system, then I have to now look at the message that says, you have to pay a certain pay a certain funds to a certain wallet before they can actually unlock the system. So it's it's a wild space. Even as I use my system, I'm that security conscious because I... Okay. I have a system that has a camera. I put a black tape on it. That's how that's how serious I am because at the end of the day, I don't trust the space. And at the same time, you just have to be very careful of how you interact because, honestly, in this web page space, there are a whole lot of people that are just out there trying to, you know, be the bad apple and just entice you to actually steal from you or or try to mess you up in one or two instances. You know? You just have to just be careful. And at the same time, when you get such links or such information, try and verify as much as you can. Take your time to do do more research because in this manner, you're protecting yourself because you don't know who is who out there that that has been studying for weeks, studying for months. You know, try to see your your interest, try to see your friends you follow, and they use those information to actually get at you. So you just have to be careful around that as well. And at the same time, do more research on how you need to protect your system and how you need to protect whatever you need to interact in terms of the tools, the ability of phone, the system. Can I do more research on that as well? Thank you so much. The topic was interesting, so I just had a call from this if he wants to take on that.
[1:04:59] Dave @DCBK2LA: I appreciate the take, MSB. It's great fucking take, man. Really, really great take. Mars, I saw you came up, man. Welcome.
[1:05:06] MAR @MARx24x: Hey, guys. Thank you for having me up. I hope, everyone is doing great and holding on strong. I see Mutasco down there. Yeah. Maybe maybe Mutasco will come up and explain. I don't know exactly how this individual did it, but we had a a close individual that's always in our spaces. I'm not gonna say his name, but he actually got hacked through a Zoom meeting. I don't know how it happened. I think will probably know more about exactly what the the scammer did. But, yeah, it's probably probably a link. You know? One thing I I do wanna say, you know, when it comes to security, it's it's easier for me because I'm a long term investor. I'm not too much of a trader. I do have a little bit of crypto, which I, of course, I wouldn't like to get hacked or lose it on on my phone. But it's nothing that's gonna make me, like like... You know? Yeah. It won't... I probably won't sleep that night, but not the whole week or the whole month or the whole year. So it's easier for me because I'm a long long term investor. You know, I I hold my crypto in a in a Keystone hardware wallet, and I was high... Actually happy to hold one of
[1:06:27] Dave @DCBK2LA: those
[1:06:27] MAR @MARx24x: because recently, I I saw a few of my big tech friends that I know in crypto tweeted about it that it's a really secure wallet. Yeah. Any... I'm not here to promote it. Like, any hardware wallet or cold storage will do the job. You know? And I basically hold my crypto on on a on a on an iPad that's... I don't even have my Apple ID signed on to it just in case they wanna link it with my phone. I mean, I don't trust any of these individuals. So it's easy for me to be secure because I'm a long term holder. If all of a sudden the prices... I see that it's getting close to where I wanna sell some of my portfolio, I just take my hardware wallet to my job or my vacation or anything, you know, just just in case I wanna liquidate. But on my phone, I go click links and all that stuff because I don't have anything on my phone. And, again, my profile... My Apple profile is not even attached to my iPad just in case they find out some way to route to my iPad. You know? I don't have my my phone number. Again, this iPad does not have, like, any any social media on it, but I also don't like to put my phone number on any social media on on x. And if if you do get a lot of, like, likes from a beautiful woman on x and you could see their profile has the blue check mark, and they've been on Twitter since 2012, just go to, I think, images, you know, and scroll down, and you see it only goes to, like, two months old because they keep renewing that that account to scam people. You know? Just be careful with that. They normally tell you they they have a... Some sort of, like, staking platform for USDT where they're making, like, crazy passive income every month.
[1:08:25] Landy @CryptoLandy: 4000%.
[1:08:27] MAR @MARx24x: Yeah. 2000%. Right. But, yeah, for me, that's something that we always talk about security for traders, people that are trading like big money every day. Those are the people that, of course, they need the phone always, you know, because they they wanna, you know, trigger that trade or they're they're not at home. For them, security is more of
[1:08:47] Voice H: a
[1:08:47] MAR @MARx24x: step further because they have it on the phone or whatever it is. They gotta be with it. You know? But for me as a long term holder, I, you know, I repeated myself. It's easier. You know, I just I just have that at home and whenever I'm ready, you know, to sell, I'll just get my my hardware wallet. And one thing I also do wanna recommend, if you guys are, like, holding your your keys, your 24 word keys written on a paper, you know, go to Amazon and buy, like, a a 10... And this is financial advice, by the way. Buy a $10 fire and water resistant envelope and put it in there. You never know if you get a flood or a fire and you lose that c phrase. It's being protected by a $10 envelope. You know? And that's big. I recently had a friend of mine that his house caught on fire. You know? And he he lost it all, man, and he had everything protected. Thank god. You know? And that's... It's $10 envelope. I didn't even go for $7 on Amazon. You know? Any brand.
[1:09:51] Dave @DCBK2LA: I like that. And,
[1:09:53] MAR @MARx24x: yeah, it's something that I do I
[1:09:55] Dave @DCBK2LA: appreciate it, Mars. Thank you, man. Great insight. Yeah, man. Yeah.
[1:09:58] MAR @MARx24x: And if anything, just ask just ask Mutasco if it comes up how he got hacked through Zoom. I'm pretty sure it was a link. You know?
[1:10:04] Dave @DCBK2LA: Damn. Sorry to hear that, Matasco. Yeah. If it was through Zoom, that means they gave him another link on Zoom. Like, they they probably extended that shit and were like, oh, it's not working on my side. Like, let's go... Let's use this one and some bullshit. But... Yeah, man. Mark, I appreciate the insight, man.
[1:10:19] MAR @MARx24x: Right.
[1:10:20] Dave @DCBK2LA: Yo. Shout out, Money Miller. I see you, Money. What's good? Chop suey. What's good?
[1:10:26] b u r n @SeeTheW0rldBurn: Yo. What's up? I could write a book on all kinds of scams. My goodness. They come out of the woodwork in this space. It's crazy. I'm right with Dave, so I have to go down the wormhole each one. I actually have, like, scripts that I use when I get them so I don't have to type or do anything. But I turn them into ads for me because they're all hit me up for stuff. So I'm like, I do something really nice and creative, a nice message, and it's light. And it's telling them no and that they're missing out, and I've actually had conversions out. So it's pretty funny. They bought in and be like, yo, boss. Appreciate the heads up. And they were the ones trying to scam me. But the links that he was talking... Yeah. Yeah. I mean, turned it into something, might as well get something. They're annoying. So, like, this is in, like, Telegram. I'm in Telegram, and they'll hit you up. You know? Emails, though. Careful. The emails are really bad. It could be on your phone. If you have anything hooked up to your email, it doesn't matter what it's to. So, like, I actually have, like, domain names and stuff, like, you know, the unstoppable domain, a web three domain, and I hadn't used it forever. I just got it because it was cool in the beginning. And I got an email, and it was from them. And I didn't even think. I was like, oh, an update of three things. Cool. I hit it, and I lost one of my favorite NFTs. But it's it's awful out there. So watch emails. Make sure the sender where it's coming from. Don't click links. I mean, if you're on your phone, still don't click links. I know it's all safe, but the technology nowadays, AI, trusted sources, no one's...
[1:12:07] Dave @DCBK2LA: It's elaborate, man. It is elaborate. You are not wrong, bro. And, yo, I'll say this too. Like, the email shit is getting ramped up because, like, I get a bazillion of them a fucking day. And, honestly, like, when I look through them, obviously, like, you can tell. Right? All you have to do is look for... Look at... Like, expand the who it's from. Right? Because you can mask the email. Right? So it can show Coinbase, but when you see who... Like, the the two set... The sender was, it's like, you know, scam you at quantum firefly dot fucking x y z. And you're just like, the fuck? Where is this? Like, it's one one click of a button in your email that will be able to show you, like, who the sender is. So, like, don't get fooled because a lot of times, like, you might get something that they... Because the way in which they make money is, like, if you're going through something. Right? If the narrative on crypto Twitter, like, just saw is, like, Coinbase freezing accounts. Right? All of a sudden, you see these, like, big influencers posting about Coinbase. Get an email now that says, hey. We froze your Coinbase account. You're just like, wait. What? Oh my god. It's happening to me just like everybody else. And then you click on this shit, and then next thing you know, Sayonara. You sign in to your Coinbase account. You sign into a wallet, whatever, and then boom. Done and done. So be smart out here, guys. Like, I know that this might seem like it's repetitive over and over, but you heard what Landy said. It is amplified times a 100 in the bull market because when people are making money, that is the quickest way for somebody to make a mistake because, again, you are being socially engineered. You're not being hacked yet. Always stop and ask yourself. Like, you have to... This is a this is a habit that you genuinely have to bring up. For those of y'all that don't know, me and Landy in the beginning, I'm like, I don't know about Landy. I don't know. Landy doesn't say... Landy says a lot of shit, but look at us now. You know how long it took me to come around to fucking Landy? Because that's how I am. I'm... I swear to god. I'm bred that way. Crypto made me this way. I'm not happy about it. Right? I was a human that gave everybody the benefit of the doubt, but you wanna know something? When you get hacked enough, when you get enough of your money taken, you say to yourself, fuck. I gotta approach this in a different way, man. Like, I I I... Like, you know, I I gotta guard this better.
[1:14:24] Voice L: I love you too.
[1:14:25] Dave @DCBK2LA: I
[1:14:26] Landy @CryptoLandy: you too, brother. Look. Like, you're cool in that. I've I've got a lot of love and respect for, because you all do the things... You do things the right way, in my opinion. And one of the funny things is what... To what Dave just said about, like, being tentative around me. Right? You can get people that you know for a really long time in this space that will turn around and scam you because that's their play the whole time is to worm their way into ecosystems and communities, work their way up on stage. And then then before you know it, they're they're sending you here. They're sending you there. And a lot of them will try to target people who have notoriety because they... If you have notoriety, probably got some money behind that too. Right? Maybe you're a little lax with security. And I've seen this, you know, in prior cycles where this has occurred. And this is where you just gotta be vigilant. You don't trust anyone even when you think you know people. One of the biggest things is is, even when you think you know people, you can't trust everything that's also being sent to you even from those people because if their security gets compromised, that can potentially compromise your security because do you have this transitive trust? Like, oh, no. Like, Dave and Kuhl, they sent me a link. Oh, I trust them. We've been we've been on stage. We're boys. We talk in DMs. And then who knows if they've been compromised in some way and their account was taken over. That's a big, big one as well. So just watch out for that. And I did wanna note that I posted up in the nest here. Just grok... I just grokked it because it's just easier to do it this way, for resources, for sandboxing, for those that might be interested in that, because it is something that I do on a regular basis. Whenever I click a link, it's always... I'm in my sandbox. If it's clean, then I'll go and I'll figure it out. And, you know, it's it's just a one step to help keep you safe, and it's it's very easy to do these days with modern operating systems. So I encourage you to do a little bit of research. Don't just take the prompt response as, like, hey. This is the way to do it. Exactly. Do a little bit more research on it and definitely keep yourself safe out there.
[1:16:36] Dave @DCBK2LA: Fact. And and I'm a tell you guys this. Right? So for any of the stacks fan that's in the building right now, right, that's the... That's in the audience listening, y'all remember... And and I'm dealing with this in real time. Literally, like, fifteen minutes before I launched this space, one of the members of the GOAT team reached out to me. Now if y'all remember, like, me and Staxi did some spaces with the GOAT team, and we actually... I took to the timeline to vouch for this team because I was dealing with this individual directly. Like... And I verified everything that this individual was saying, but there's certain things, like, Lendi said, that you just don't know. You don't know the workings of a deal with somebody else. I didn't know who holds the keys to the liquidity pools for GOAT, right, for them to be able to rug. Right? There's certain things that, like, you don't think to ask questions. And I'm literally talking to this guy now who's trying to make his way back into the community, and the community is not having any part of it. But my brain is saying, I need to understand this now. Not so much to help fucking this guy come and help his image. Right? Like, for me, it's a learning experience. I am now curious to know what happened here so I know which which questions to ask next time moving forward. So I'm getting a full rundown as to genuinely what happened, and you hear some really, really wild things. And you don't want... Sometimes you're just like, that's so crazy. I'll tell you guys this much. I've heard every fucking story in the book. Excuse me. But let me let me let me rephrase that. I've heard close to every story because nothing surprises me anymore. To every story in the book from literally death in the family, they play on emotions and death here and and the sickness there and blah blah blah. And scammers don't give a shit about you. They don't give a shit about anything else except the money in your wallet. They will say and do anything because they have no attachment to you. They have nothing. And this individual now, like, it's really hard for me to wrap my head around. Right? Because now he's in my DMs being like, Dave, like, I... Like, I need to tell my side of this story because I don't know what to do with myself right now. And I'm saying to myself, like, there's so many questions. There's so many questions that I wanna ask, but this is also gonna be a learning experience for me. I will never put my name behind anybody. Right? And just because you see a tweet from me on the timeline, again, that's not an endorsement in saying, yeah. Go do this. Go do that. No. You have to take everything that I say, everything that Cool says, everything Landy says, and every other speaker that's been on this stage with a grain of salt. Because at the end of the day, you are responsible for you, not me. I'm not responsible for your money. You are responsible for your money. So that's essentially, like, really the message that I wanna drive home, and stay tuned for the goat saga. I'm actually gonna get the goat guy on a space probably tomorrow night, and we're gonna we're gonna break this shit down. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Because we're gonna learn. And if somebody wants to get back into the community, you know, let's see. I'm willing to give somebody a microphone to see exactly how it can happen, and what's the worst that happens? Worst that happens is I learn exactly the ins and outs of this intricacy of how this rug happened so I'm smarter for the next time to be able to say, goddamn. Like, I'm not gonna fall for this shit again, or maybe my man is telling the truth. But at the end of the day, again, it's for everybody to decide on their own. Emissary, I saw that you came up, man. What's up?
[1:20:00] Voice G: Yo. GM GM, everyone. It's it's... You know, the the topic at hand is is really a very critical one, a a very disturbing one because I personally... I I had a very, you know, ugly experience. It it wasn't ugly. You know? Like, it wasn't too ugly because the scammer actually wanted to play on me. The guy actually chatted me up on x and was like, yo. I have this job for you and blah blah blah. I'm gonna pay you a thousand bucks and all that and all that. So, you know, some of the x account hit that, you know, we are kind of... It seemed legit. Like, most of them have, you know... Like, I had someone talk about, you know, long period of, like, kind of accounts that that have been have been created before, like, maybe 02/2000 and maybe 2015, you know, old accounts. So they kind of renew it. So the guy chatted to me over. Was like, see, I have this job for you and all that. So, of course, I'm already security conscious. Like, I have a couple of friends who have kind of been on these issues about security. So, really, you said that my mind already said this should be one of them. You know? It came playing and... Are you gonna do this? I said, okay. I was just trying to play play along. So so when he reached, he sent me a link. I was like, download this and set this up. I was not like, I'll get back to you. Like, I... Because I did actually kind of given, you know, to click on the link because, of course, I was skeptical about it. So... But I gave it time. Like, after two days, it kept on disturbing me. You wanna pay me, and you're disturbing me. Like... So it's really crazy. It's really crazy. Like, the space is is really crazy. It it makes you even not to trust your own brother or your own blood. Like, it's really crazy. Want
[1:22:00] Dave @DCBK2LA: Bro, I'm with you on that, man. It's true. You start looking at your best friends, your mom, your dad, your sisters, and you're
[1:22:07] Landy @CryptoLandy: like, hey, man. Like Yeah.
[1:22:08] Voice G: You're trying to get money out of me? Because if their own account is compromised, you know, you might not truly know know about it that the account have been compromised. And when someone else is is behind the account, you know, chatting you up or kind of texting you, you might not know. So that that makes you to be able to kind of... Whatever information or whatever link or whatever whatever update that someone brings to you, you know, kind of trying to scrutinize it and make sure you validate it from your own points, like, from your own point and make sure it is it is clean at least, maybe 80% from your own point before you go ahead. You know? Because what... Someone mentioned that your money is your money, and it's it's not the community's money. It is not cools money. It's not this money. You know? It's not anybody's money. It's not my money. So once you lose the money, you're going to be, you know, the pain. And, you know, for instance, most of us who do airdrops like most of this retroactive and even normal airdrop farming. You know? Once you lose some of these wallets, it's like assets to us. Once you lose some of your wallets that you have used for interactions and you can't... Maybe there are airdrops you are expecting, very huge airdrops. You know? For instance, today, Move paid and the other design on paid. When you lose some of these wallets, you know, to hack, you know, it is gone, and it is gone forever. And all the interactions you have had on social wallets, you know, you are wasted already. You have to kind of start all over again. So it is it is a very, you know, critical topic that you... You are discussing tonight. And I must say, Dave, you're doing a great job. Cool, my boss. I greet you. Thanks so much for giving me the mic. I really appreciate.
[1:23:54] Dave @DCBK2LA: Of course. I'm sorry. Great stuff, man. I appreciate you sharing your experience, dude. I feel like everybody can learn here, man. I appreciate that, like, for real for real. Good stuff. Shwani, what is good, my bro?
[1:24:05] Voice K: My brother Dave, what's happening, man? Dude, the amount of times I've had people try to scam me on shit is insane. I mean, the other thing you gotta watch out for is, hey. Throw in an extra underscore in a name. Like, you know, that miss Rose fucking scammer. Like, they were trying to get me to do all kinds of shit. Like, oh, hey. Well, sign up for this FX trading thing and, oh, hey. Send money to this wallet and blah blah blah and join this thing. And I'm like, yeah. This seems shady AF. Let me jump on a VV crew and see what's good. So, I mean, just ask people for the most part. That's definitely helped me out a lot. And, yeah, I mean, if you're, like, looking at links, like, who is... And I can... So you can understand domain registry dates and, like, if they're fake or, hey. Oh, wait. This is registered, like, two months ago. That's a red flag. There's also free, like, redirect checkers out there. I mean, you can just Google shit, find it pretty easy. Usually, use the ones with... End in .org just because, you know, those are more legitimate for the most part, and you can get the traceability. But, yeah, I mean, just be careful. Be sensitive. And scam bait on Reddit is fucking hilarious.
[1:25:11] Dave @DCBK2LA: Appreciate it, Shmoney. Yeah, man. The underscore game is serious. And I'll say this too. The most popular influencers out here, okay, are some of the ones that will try and scam you. I know because I have been scammed by them. I saw recently. For those of you that know this dude Enoch or CryptoG or any one of these fucking... Like, this whole Canadian, like, crypto crew, These are the the Obama Sonic Indu crew. They are the biggest scammers possible, and I will tell you exactly how they did it. But I just wanna say what's up to Matasco first. Matasco, what's good, man? How are doing?
[1:25:54] Dave @DCBK2LA: Matasco, you hear me? Is it me?
[1:25:57] Voice D: Can you hear me?
[1:25:58] Dave @DCBK2LA: Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. I got... Yeah. We got you now, man. We got you. What's good?
[1:26:01] Voice D: Oh, good. I'm driving. My... I like
[1:26:04] Dave @DCBK2LA: to just sit and listen to your spaces, though,
[1:26:07] Voice D: because there's always so much quality information. Not not cool. Landy.
[1:26:17] Dave @DCBK2LA: I hope
[1:26:17] Voice D: you guys are doing good. I think Ma kinda mentioned my name, and I have to make a correction. There's a guy who somehow... He's... You know, someone reached out. And I like the example you gave about social engineering. There's also confidence schemes. It starts with people who just hang around you and and and try to relate with the problems that you have and make it seem like they can relate. And then before you know it, there's this there's this... I don't know how to describe it. Then the trust kind of evolves. And so you forget that, oh, maybe I come up here and I say, you know, I got scammed. You know? I lost, you know, a $100,000. Blah blah blah. And then you're, like, connecting with me because, I mean, for anybody who's been in crypto, you've either round trip to back, you lost money, you clicked on a random link, and maybe you're hanging out on Telegram. Anybody that tells you have been here for a while and I've never actually made that mistake, The person is full of it. So the idea of confidence scheming is, you know, when people just tell you what they know is a norm, and then you instantly connect with them. And it it doesn't happen... You know? And it's also very... It's like, keep your private private. Okay? Crypto, people like to... I think Landy talks about this. Is it you that talks about the people that's... That that send screenshots? I mean, when when the the parabolic stage reaches, you're gonna see all these... You know, fake. You you talked about that. And and a lot of people don't know that these things are fake stuff. Right? Not... I mean, I'm telling you, anybody that knows... Understands crypto, they're
[1:28:14] Dave @DCBK2LA: not gonna just put, like, yeah, I made a million dollars. Right? They're not gonna do that.
[1:28:19] Voice D: When things like that are being thrown out there, just know that it's flat out. I don't care whether it's true or not. I don't care. I'm not moving on. So the guy was looking for a job or whatever. Right? Somebody connected with him. Somehow, get you a job, get on the Zoom, and then one to let to another, his money is gone. And it was devastating. Right? Up... In 2000 and... I think it's 2021, I had a a guy who who just came out of retirement. And this is a very sad story, but I'm I'm cracking up because this is an older person that, you know, through the hype, he just came out of retirement. And and and for anybody who's in retirement, you're like in permanent unemployment, you have fixed income. It just comes... You know, if it doesn't come, you know, you don't have anything to spend. And this guy aped into a meme, and then some... Somehow his account got... You know, his seed phrase got compromised. And the funny thing is he didn't know that some of these scammers, when they get your seed phrase, they they don't even have 0.00 Ethereum. Okay? So they can't steal... Let's say if you have a wallet and you don't have Ethereum in there, and let's say you have Ethereum based tokens and you don't have Ethereum sitting there, the scammer has to send Ethereum to push your tokens away, like, send them out. So this guy in his situation, he had a seed phrase compromise. He didn't know that. So whenever he put the Ethereum, the scammer is literally on a clock, and then he just moves his his assets. Just keeps moving his assets, and he didn't know that. And he got screwed. But this guy,
[1:30:10] Voice D: it wasn't me. It was somebody else that Ma was referencing that took a job and his money went away. I didn't wanna make a comment. I don't know, Lundy, if you... If you're familiar with CubeOS. It's a... It's an operating system. You download it in your computer or whatever, and it's kind of a a shield. Right? You you know you know about that? It's it's like a... An operating system.
[1:30:37] Voice H: Yeah.
[1:30:37] Landy @CryptoLandy: Security stuff. I've... I believe I've run it in, a virtual machine, like, either a VMware or a VirtualBox. I haven't run it natively on hardware, but, yes, I'm... I am familiar with it.
[1:30:52] Voice D: Okay. So the the reason I'm making this reference, back in 2021, the the DeFi craze. Right? There was a protocol. I don't remember the name of the protocol. It's been a while. And this guy is also part of the core developers. Right? And this is... I think it was, like, $25,000,000 that got wiped out. And the way it got wiped out was through a PDF file. So he's he's a core developer with this protocol. You know, DeFi is going great. The treasury has a lot of Ethereum, whatever. Right? And he's a signer to the multisig or somehow. There's there's some mechanics behind the scenes there, but he went out of his way looking for another job. This is just him genuinely looking for another job. And this is also a techie guy. Right? And he went on LinkedIn, you know, got a job, whatever. And then they sent him a PDF file to, you know, fill up whatever. And and through the PDF file, he he got scammed. I would say, well, he he got exploited, and then one thing led to another $25,000,000 went out. If you go on rec.news, you may be able to pull that out. There's a lot of things there. If you just wanna, like, help your mind, use rec.news and just kind of learn about some of these things, whether it's a smart contract, is it treasury, is... You know, it just helps you be aware that... I mean, we don't know anything. We're just all learning. It's very scary out there. And the reason I'm saying this is, like, there's this saying that vulnerabilities can be embedded. So malware can be embedded in a in a PDF file. So it's not just your Twitter link, your Twitter dot. It could literally be through your email, a PDF file, and then you click one thing leads to another, and then everything is gone. Okay? And I could keep talking on this forever, but that's all I have.
[1:32:51] Landy @CryptoLandy: Thank you. I was gonna
[1:32:52] Voice D: Crypto is scary.
[1:32:53] Landy @CryptoLandy: Gonna say this. You know, we we have... And I'm looking through the the the audience here. There's a lot of, like, collab managers and and calls and other people who who do work in the crypto industry in terms of getting stuff out there for projects. One of the most popular ways... People who are well versed, even team members and developers, like he was just saying, one of the biggest ways in crypto that many get taken in, including entire projects, is, clicking on, like, oh, hey. You know, we wanna do a collab. Here's our white paper. And you click the link to go to the white paper, and boom, you're done. You're drained. So, like, that... You gotta be very, very careful. There's there's many people that that they get got this way in particular even when you have a lot of knowledge in this area.
[1:33:43] Dave @DCBK2LA: Facts. Yeah. Matasco, I appreciate you coming up and obviously sharing that with us as well. It's a lot. Daniels, I'm gonna come to you in a minute, but I know we're a little bit past the hour. I did just wanna kinda just highlight this one other story that I think is ginormous in terms of, I mean, what could potential implicate... What potential implications could be. Google... And this was directly from Sandar Pishai Pishai's Twitter account. Google has now developed a 130 qubit quantum computer. And people are now asking, like, wait a minute. Does that mean that Bitcoin ultimately has to be worried? And I've studied this quantum computing phenomenon for a minute. Right? It's been about... I'm... I said I've been almost two years into this. I've watched every Neil deGrasse Tyson thing on on on quantum computing. There's a professor here, at Columbia that is one of the world, like, renowned, like, quantum physicists that literally talks about what quantum computing is and how... And what it can do. But just to put, like, in perspective, like, I just pinned this to the top, and and we can chat about this tomorrow. But I want everybody to just really understand what this is because this is gonna be a narrative that is going to grow louder and louder and louder as we continue into the future. We're safe for now. Right? Like, everybody's good for now, but when they start... When you start seeing 1,000, 2,000, 5,000 cubic computers like IBM is claiming to already to already have, it's a big deal. So it's just some... We don't gotta comment on it. It's just something that I wanted to throw out there. I pinned it to the nest. Let your... Go down the rabbit hole. I don't have enough info on it just yet. But, yeah, Thanos, I'll I'll give you the last the last word, my man, and then we're gonna close out.
[1:35:34] Voice M: Yeah. Thanks, Dave. Hi, everyone. I just wanted to share my experience because I went through a scamming process through through Ike's because... So somehow the the the scammer, which which will... Had a had a big account on on Twitter reached me through Web three collaboration thing and then Amazon.
