Captain McDonald (Aaron) of Futureverse joined hosts Dave, Kool, Bildo Verde and the ATC crew for a deep dive into the Futureverse ecosystem, covering the Root Network, Silo, ASM, Think, Universal Blueprint Framework (UBF), and the newly announced collaboration with Story Protocol. The conversation explored interoperability standards, on-chain IP, intelligent agents, 3D generative tools like Altered State, and how these technologies aim to deliver true digital ownership and portability across games and experiences. Updates on Kaito’s shift from mindshare to absolute Yaps with boosted leaderboards, plus concerns around Movement Labs and centralized exchange market-making practices, framed the broader industry discussion. Aaron emphasized the challenges of building decentralized systems, the importance of community coordination, and the vision of a truly interoperable metaverse inspired by Ready Player One. All of this is discussion, not financial advice.

Back to you. [0:05:59] Dave @DCBK2LA: See what happens when you get good connect? Thank you, Junie. Very much appreciated. Goddamn. Wild. You like that one, Aaron? See? I mean, listen. She's she's a little touchy. It's it's always when it's under pressure situations that she decides that she wants to be like, you know what? Let me make him sweat a little bit. She's got the shower. She's like, like, you know, oh my god. Aaron, what's going on, man? [0:06:22] captain.root @aaronmcdnz: How are you? No. I'm good, man. What an introduction. [0:06:25] Dave @DCBK2LA: Not bad, We know how to, you we know how put on the show yet. You know what mean? [0:06:28] captain.root @aaronmcdnz: Yeah. No. You certainly do. I love it. [0:06:31] Dave @DCBK2LA: Good stuff. Let me say what's up to my cohost. Hang tight there for a second. Cool. What's going on, bro? [0:06:36] Kool @koolcryptovc: What what up, I guess? Welcome to [0:06:38] Kkoma @itskkoma: the show, man. Where'd you go? Today's... [0:06:40] Dave @DCBK2LA: I'm not sure, but let's go. I'm ready to go. Let's do it. He... Cole's like, I don't know, man. When you guys start talking metaverse stuff, he's like, I'm not I'm not really sure. Hey. Cool. Mantra up 33%, bro. The average down yesterday, I'm I'm loving it. I was rooting for you this morning, my bro. Let's fucking go. Yeah, man. Bildo, what's good, my brother? [0:07:00] Bildo Verde @BildoVerde: Doing good. Doing good. Been on spaces all day. Just got done with, like, a two and a half hour space going over the third kingdom game. But, Aaron, appreciate it. I've heard you say it many times. Technology's hard. So sometimes, you know, we get a little glitches, it takes us thirty seconds before we get an amazing intro. But, you know, bear with us, and we'll definitely get there. [0:07:21] Dave @DCBK2LA: Hey, Doug. Hey. The motherfucker always comes with the sass. I'll tell you that much. Bildo, thank you. Landy was good. [0:07:32] Landy @CryptoLandy: There I am. Hey. What's up? Sorry about that. [0:07:34] Dave @DCBK2LA: I thought you were gonna hit me with that, but I was like, not right now. Don't do that. [0:07:37] Landy @CryptoLandy: No. No. No. Hey. You know, I'm just, making the rounds today in the spaces and lives. Gotta jump out a little bit early today, but I am gonna be listening back to this one because this is a big one. But I I do have one thing to ask, Dave. [0:07:55] Dave @DCBK2LA: Yes, Landy? [0:07:57] Landy @CryptoLandy: Who the hell is that AI posing as Junie? That is not Junie's voice. That is that is some impostor that has hopped up on something crazy. Two bunnies in the room. She was talking all fast, high pitched. Like, what's going on with Judy? What? [0:08:16] Dave @DCBK2LA: Wait. Wait. Wait. You heard it... Wait. You really heard a difference? [0:08:21] Landy @CryptoLandy: Yes. I heard a difference. That's that's not Really? Not our Junie, bro. That's not our Junie. [0:08:25] MetaBeast @AKCMetaBeast: She hasn't been our Junie for a long time. Oh, man. There's an investigation about to start. I'm just telling you, Dave. [0:08:36] Dave @DCBK2LA: Listen. Listen. Listen. The only thing that I changed... Because normally when I tell her, like, listen, Judy, when I give you the cue, like, you're up. You know, go through your monologue. But I... And I say, like, you know, just sound a little excited when you say it. And I normally give it that same prompt, but today, I added one where I was like, make sure that you're articulate and, like, you know, it's clear when you speak. You know? Because sometimes she gets a little bit junior. She's like, yo. What's up? And I'm like, okay. You know, maybe let's dial that back. And let's just make sure that, you know, take your time. So maybe the pitch changes a little bit. You know what I mean? Yeah. The pitch was normal, dude. [0:09:08] Landy @CryptoLandy: She sounded like she's been out on the street. She was up all night. She had to she had to pound some freaking five hour energies before coming up here, [0:09:17] Bildo Verde @BildoVerde: She knew Erin was gonna be here, so she [0:09:19] Landy @CryptoLandy: was nervous. She got nervous. It's okay. [0:09:21] Dave @DCBK2LA: Okay. Put her suit on. You know? She was like... She went to the closet. She got her theory suit. She looked... She's like, I look good. You know? Much love, though. Much love. That was good. Good shit. Thanks, Landy. Appreciate it. Meta Beast, close the investigation. But Meta Beast, what's good, man? What's going on, bro? [0:09:35] MetaBeast @AKCMetaBeast: Maybe I'll think about it. I... Doing okay. D fice... DeFi space donkey asked me to do a PG 13 story, and I ain't been the same since, especially with dealing with this Easter egg hunt in the Central end crap. [0:09:53] Dave @DCBK2LA: Uh-huh. So Yeah. P g 13 is definitely not what you do. Why would they try and put you in a box? [0:09:59] MetaBeast @AKCMetaBeast: I... You know, I don't know. It's like I said, I'm I'm [0:10:03] Bildo Verde @BildoVerde: trying to [0:10:03] MetaBeast @AKCMetaBeast: trying to wrap my head around it and get over it and move on. But Okay. That's what this space is for. Awesome. [0:10:13] Dave @DCBK2LA: Yeah. Cope. Alright. Listen. You'll you'll be alright. I think you'll be good. Don't worry about it. Don't don't stress. Colma, what's good, bro? How are we doing? [0:10:22] Kkoma @itskkoma: Can't complain, dude. Just lot of lot of news today. Yeah. Like, Kaido related, and then I don't know if you just saw the most recent thing related to... What is that? Like, I just made a post about it. Blah blah blah blah blah. Movement Labs CEO. I don't know if you just saw... You saw something that he, yeah, he... He's no longer the CEO. And then there's internal investigation going on. So... Yeah. Yes. I guess couple days ago, was it was Mantra, now this. And, yeah, I think both of them are on Kaido post DG leaderboards. So, yeah, I'm I'm not really sure what's going on these days. Investigations everywhere. [0:11:03] Dave @DCBK2LA: I'm putting cases on all you... Listen. At the end, I did not see that, but I guess we're gonna get it... We're definitely gonna get into that for sure. But let me just say what's up to Sunnyd, and then we'll get cracking. Sunnyd, what's good? What's good? It's amazing for me today. The Missouri q one report on Tron came out. It's looking fantastic. 2.6 excuse me, 2,300,000 active users, $760,000,000 in revenue, all time high. 53% of USDTs on Tron, and all the ecosystems within is starting to percolate. So I'm feeling super bullish, and I'm pumped to learn about Futureverse today. So I've been hearing about you guys talk about it for a while, and now we're gonna get the juice today. So let's go. I love it, man. Let's go. Aaron, I just wanna give everybody an overall quick, like... We do kinda like the news here. We're gonna spend the majority of the time, like, chatting with you, but I would love to hear, obviously, like, takes on, you know, some of the news that we got going going around. But we're just gonna cover a couple quick, like, news topics just to bring everybody up to speed, then we'll get cooking. That cool? [0:12:09] captain.root @aaronmcdnz: Sounds good, bro. [0:12:10] Dave @DCBK2LA: Alright. Let's do it. Koma, give us the update, man, on Kaito because I'm over here talking about quacks and. You know what I mean? And I need you to tell me, like, what's the... What what... What's the deal here, bro? Like, there's a whole new revamp, and is this good news? Like, are we finally actually gonna get to, like, get credit for the vote? Because, like, I'm screenshotting votes, bro. Like, I guess, just give it... Us a little while. I saw you put out a whole article. [0:12:32] Kkoma @itskkoma: Yeah. I I mean, I literally have Yuhu on, like, notice. So whenever I... Whenever he posts or replies, I'm just, like, trying to analyze it as fast as possible. So there are times where I do make mistakes, just FYI, because I'm just trying to, like, post as fast as possible about it. But... Yeah. No. Just... Yeah. There's just a lot of information. One thing that is changing maybe from, like, couple days ago or maybe two days ago was that no longer are, like, leaderboards gonna be based on mind shares. He's gonna change... They... They're gonna change it to absolute EAPS. So you could tell, like, whenever... If you do post about a certain project, a lot of people were really kinda annoyed because they're saying, like, oh, you know, I... If it's a negative post, does that mean I get kicked out of the leaderboard? Like, what happens if I try to get, like, constructive feedback and then the AI thinks it's negative? Does that mean, like, I completely get kicked out of the leaderboard even though I, like, bull posted, like, 30 posts about, I don't know, project x y z. Right? So rather than trying to figure out what this, like, concept of mind share is, he said that, basically, you're gonna... They're gonna change, like, everything it... To... Everything to Yaps, and you could check on a per post basis if it's, like, actually getting Yaps or not getting Yaps. The confusing thing to me about this is, like, is it just mind share just converted into, like, the terminology of Yaps, or is it actually Yaps? Right? Because Yaps, in general, are considered to be, like, very, very difficult to get. It's all about, like, global mind share versus, like, project based systems. So still trying to figure that part out. And then today, he dropped another bombshell or, like, Kaido dropped another bombshell. This is actually something that I actually thought about too was, look. Like, there's only, like, eight or seven projects left in the pre TGE. And back in the... Like, you know, it was all about voting. Right? And then trying to get these projects to get promoted to leaderboards and whatever. But what happens if there's not enough projects? Like, what are the point of yaps? Right? And it looks like they were already thinking ahead about that. So now you can use your Yaps to essentially vote on projects that you are bullish on, and you can use... And, basically, you get, like, boosts based on based on the number of Yaps you're putting into these leaderboards. So, like, say, I'm bullish on, I don't know, like, Skate Chain and I make a lot of content about it, if I use my Yaps to put... If I use my Yaps on those leaderboards, I could get a potential boost. And, you know, on top of that, if you have s Kaido, which is the stake Kaido, you can also get another boost and then Kaido Genesis NFTs could get another boost. There's a lot of mixed, responses with this because now a lot of smaller creators who don't really have a lot of, I guess, influence, quote, unquote, and lot of mind share in general, like, those people don't really have a lot of yaps. So, there are some genuine concerns about, like, am I just gonna get basically, you know, like, move down the leaderboard because since I don't have Yaps, I don't have Boost. And since I don't have Boost, like, all the whales are just gonna eat. Right? So there are some genuine concerns there. But, yeah, like, it it... There's a lot of unknowns, but a lot of updates as well. So I just don't know the exact answers to your question. But I think I just... Yeah. [0:16:00] Dave @DCBK2LA: Yeah. Honestly, Koma, like, the way I'm reading it and the way I'm understanding it, it says users assign yaps and their staked Kaito to projects. Right? So that's essentially going to now boost mindshare on the leaderboard. So our votes are generally now going to count towards something, right, as opposed to let's hope it gets us an airdrop or maybe the comp... You know, maybe the protocol, like, actually considers this. You know what I'm saying? Because what I was... I knew it wasn't factored in before. So what I was doing, I was telling cool. I'm taking screenshots and then tagging these these these protocols being like, hey, man. I use all my votes for you. So I don't care if it's mindshare because, like, that's, like, the way I've... I I found this to be successful... And look. This is coming from someone. I have, like, 60 something yaps. I don't have a ton, but, like, the way I found to be successful is you zero in on a few projects and you go, like, ham on those, and you make sure that they notice you. And then next thing you know, you get to follow. They're retweeting your shit, and, you know, hopefully, we get them on here. You know? So I don't know. I I think this is gonna be... I like this. I guess it's yet to be determined, and I guess we'll see. But, look, a lot a lot of these big companies have started on here. Cool. What do you make of this? [0:17:05] Kool @koolcryptovc: No. I I saw I saw the the update. That was pretty cool. I I I like it. I I think to me, I'm just thinking about how does this affect the boss. I know tracks a a couple of accounts that just have... They ranked top five in 30 projects with basically zero yaps, ma'am. I don't know if you know how they're doing it, but I think this might take the power away from them. So I... But but I think what what what what I don't get is does this apply to only pre DG projects? What about the ones that are already live already? What what does that mean for them? So I don't know. I mean, it's just... It's interesting. I like it, man. I think I think... I'm not sure. I think this might affect the box. I think it's gonna re... Rearrange leaderboard. I think tomorrow is the last day of of voting on projects. After after tomorrow, there's no more. I think we jump into the new model on Thursday, I think. But, yeah, I think it's good, man. I think it's good. I think they're trying to innovate. I'm sure people are not happy about this. I don't know how... You know, I guess only time will tell. Right? That's the only way we'll know the true effect of this change in in another two, three, four weeks. So... But I think I like it, man. It gives the the talking, you know, some utility. It gives the NFT some utility. I think as long as people are getting rewarded for assigning their votes through the NFTs or through big... Your tokens being staked, as long as they get rewarded, this protocol would do well. That... That's that's what I think. [0:18:42] Dave @DCBK2LA: Yeah. Because because as I'm reading it now, it says you'll be able to assign both of them, meaning, like, your Yap Sen, your stake your stake Kaito towards boosted mind share accumulation in relation to that specific project's Yap or leaderboard. So I'm reading this directly off the post. Right? It says, assign stake Kaito rewarding you with token reward sharing in relation to that specific project in the upcoming capital launch pad as well as other use cases. And they said it's ongoing. They're gonna continue to define it. But what this does is it now gives stake Kaito holders, which I'm a stake Kaito holder. I think, Koma, you are. Landy, you are. Cool. You definitely are. An avid... Now it says stake Kaito holders, it gives them an avenue to fee share from both the network more generally and from specific projects. But that makes... That's a that's a big deal, Koma. [0:19:25] Kkoma @itskkoma: No. It it really is. And I I personally am really looking at the NFT, the Genesis one. I'm really debating if I should get one or not. Still on the fence about it. But [0:19:39] Dave @DCBK2LA: How much are they right now? Last I saw... I mean, they were hella 6? [0:19:42] Kkoma @itskkoma: It's 0.6. Yeah. 1.7. [0:19:44] Kool @koolcryptovc: $2.02 2,000 and... $2,800. I am... I've been I've I've been been eyeing this shit for the past, like, three weeks, I'm driving. Once I get home, I do my show. [0:19:55] Kkoma @itskkoma: I am one. I don't care what it is. [0:19:59] Kool @koolcryptovc: So... But it's it's it's a no brainer. This thing was as... It was 30 k. [0:20:03] Dave @DCBK2LA: It was [0:20:03] Kool @koolcryptovc: $30,000 just, like, a a month and a half ago. [0:20:06] Kkoma @itskkoma: So Just Yeah. I mean, imagine buying. Just imagine cool, like, you know, Wayfinder if you had the the NFT and you had the boost, and I think a good chunk of people got, like, minimum of, like, 1,500 to $2,000 already. So in a way, it could pay for itself if you are playing your cards right. [0:20:25] Kool @koolcryptovc: So and and plus one other thing, if you do have the the the the there is a... You have five days to buy it before... Like, cellphone cellphone is doing a you know, you you you... You're you're getting a role. You're getting a a disco role, and I'm assuming probably some air... An airdrop for you if you hold NFT. So is it a five day deadline for you to buy or whatever? Claim your role before, you know, April 20 or twenty first. [0:20:56] Dave @DCBK2LA: Got it. Okay. Super interesting. Aaron, I'm curious. Right? Because I know, like, you... I mean, look, you know, not... Just to kinda maybe draw the parallel, but I know that, you know, story protocol was obviously on here. They were heavy in the beginning. Do you like this, like, Kaito model? Like, what what what do you think about this model? [0:21:12] captain.root @aaronmcdnz: I think, like, anything that's trying to, like, create participation around these kinds of things from community members is a good thing to experiment with. Like, these kinds of social models are are, like, I think still quite nascent, but but it's good to see lots of people trying different things because there is definitely something there, and it's, a necessary function inside of decentralized systems. Social coordination is kind of part of the big point of it. I don't think anyone's, like, cracked the nut yet. It's not a problem we've tried to tackle directly ourselves because it is quite a hard one and specialized one, but it's cool to see people trying to do it. [0:21:55] Dave @DCBK2LA: Yeah. I guess there's gonna be... I mean, there's gonna be just nonsense, I guess, in every single one of these. You know what I mean? Like, how... Yeah. Everyone tries to game this shit. Every single one. [0:22:05] captain.root @aaronmcdnz: Any... Anything anything anything on the Internet is gamed. Everything is gamed. And it's, like, it's one of the hardest things to do as a builder is to, like, try and optimize for the best balanced outcome, you know, knowing that people are gonna find ways to game the system. Humans are extremely creative, and especially when it comes to, like, winning or money. And and it's it's like whack a mole, you know, where you something... You put something out there, people try and, like, figure it out so they can get an advantage. That that then could lead to, like, new iterations that try and overcome that advantage, but but create another trap or another opportunity for something else to be exploited. It's kind of like, you know, the the Byzantine problem on steroids almost. Like, you're trying to, like, solve for these multiple angles at the same time while you're being exploited, while you're shipping code, while you're figuring out how to, like, overcome that next exploit. It's it's... I think it's been described some some time ago, like, trying to assemble a spaceship as it's trying to reach orbit. You know? It's just one of those things that's very terrific... Tricky to achieve on balance for everyone all the time. Yeah. We we certainly have our fair share of, like, situations where people don't feel like what's been put out as fair to them specifically or to a segment specifically. And, unfortunately, you just can't make all of the people happy all of the time. And the bigger you get and the more scale you get, the harder it becomes to do that. And and it's not for lack of trying. It's just a really hard problem to solve. [0:23:52] Dave @DCBK2LA: Thanks. Yeah. K. Comment, do you wanna chime in on something? [0:23:56] Kkoma @itskkoma: No. I was just gonna... I I was just gonna say what captain said at the end. Not every... Not everyone's gonna be happy. You can't make everyone happy. There's gonna be... There's just too many participants in different situations. Right? There's gonna be the whales. There's gonna be the people in the middle, and there's gonna be people that people that just don't have a lot of following or a lot of yaps. And it's... I don't... I mean, it's so easy to complain. Like, oh, this isn't fair or you should be doing. [0:24:30] Dave @DCBK2LA: Did we lose Coma? Is that is that my connection? [0:24:32] Bildo Verde @BildoVerde: No. I lost I lost [0:24:33] Dave @DCBK2LA: him too. No. That... Alright. Wait. Well, I'll come back. Come on. I'll come back. I know. I just lost a bunch of people on stage. I lost cool. Was like, oh, shit. Is that my... Looking I'm, like, at my bars. I'm like, I got full bars right now. Don't do this. Yeah. [0:24:46] Bildo Verde @BildoVerde: Know. Xfinity was trying, and I'm having trouble adding him back on. So I'm I'm not sure what's going on. [0:24:52] Dave @DCBK2LA: Yeah. Once Cool accepts the cohost, we should be good. We should be good. [0:24:55] Kkoma @itskkoma: Sorry about that. I think I got a phone call. But, yeah, was just saying, life life isn't fair. Just like me getting caught off. [0:25:02] Dave @DCBK2LA: Yeah. No. You're good. You're good. Yeah, man. Lyft, like, the... It's so interesting because if people just worked around, like, like, the real incentives that were put in place as opposed to trying to game the system. Like, I don't know why, like, a lot of people's brains, especially, like, not so much, like, farmers, but, like, the, the people that are looking to, like, really just... How do I get the edge? You know what I'm saying? And it's just like, ah, across the line, who gives a shit? But, listen, it's gonna be interesting to see how this whole Kyto thing works out. We'll see. But let's go to the Movement Labs story, then we'll touch really quickly on Babylon, and then we're gonna get into we'll get into everything with Aaron. But Movement Labs, this is really interesting because this is... I don't know if there's connection here, but here's here's the bullet point summary. Binance off boarded an unnamed market maker due to misconduct involving Movement Labs Move token, sparking concerns over trading irregularities. There's a third party review that was launched. Movement Network Foundation confirmed it's conducting a third party investigation to ensure transparency, but has not disclosed the firm handling it. The cofounder has been put on temporary leave, reportedly took a temporary leave of absence, although he continues engaging publicly on social media and in team calls, probably not at the advice of his attorney. Slack... Slack account was briefly inactive, raising internal concerns, but it was reactivated the same day. And while the market maker hasn't been named, the crypto slew Zech XBT suggested a connection to Web three port. I never even heard of that market maker, which had previously interacted with Movement Labs online. Do we think that there is some... I mean, I I don't even know, like, what... It's just investigation at this point. I mean, but Movement Labs raised a hell of a lot of money. Cool. We've talked about Movement here a ton of time so far, bro. Like... So I don't know. Anything that I missed in this story that, like, maybe the... Like, what's the deal? [0:26:47] Kool @koolcryptovc: Yeah. I... Yo. Honestly, man, I don't even know anymore. I'm I'm I'm kinda frustrated. Yo. I have a lot of money coming from this project, man. Mantra yesterday, now moving labs today, guys. I have rolls, all this stuff coming. It's all gone now. Like, you have... There's no money yet, man. Jeez. Alright. So I I just see this news is not new. It's not new. There was some noise about this a couple weeks ago about finance and and and and and move move token. Look. I I think what... What's happening is this. Right? I think, know, you we have some founders that they're trying to raise money. They they they wanna pop up their token, and they work with some shady exchange or something to, you know, pop up the value of their token. Because it's very simple, man. The more... The higher the the the market cap of your projects, the more eyes are on this, the more devs come on it, the more money comes in, the more VCs come in. And I think that's why it was happening, and they they doing this from the the wrong way, man. And, unfortunately, because, I mean, they... I mean, I don't know. We'll see what happens with this, but it's not looking good, man. It really isn't. Because as you guys know, man, we we we have the the the the DOJ. The DOJ is in finance, man. They they see everything. That that was part of the deal. They're in Binance. If anything shake the apple, they can see it. So I don't know, man. I mean, know Roshi was in... That's the founder of Move. He was in DC. He's taking... Yeah. Actually, his project is one of the projects on Trump's DeFi platform. The World Liberty Financial Movement Labs is on... Is is one of the projects being bought by Trump and his family. So I don't know. Like I said, it's just... I'm I'm I'm tired, man, because, look, all this money... Guys, it is... You know, [0:28:41] Kkoma @itskkoma: it's it's just it's just crazy. [0:28:43] Kool @koolcryptovc: I don't know. It's just... I I I I I think the biggest issue...... [0:28:46] captain.root @aaronmcdnz: Maybe add some perspective here. Like... [0:28:49] Kool @koolcryptovc: Please do. Please do. [0:28:50] captain.root @aaronmcdnz: Please do. I'm I'm tired. It's very possible that that what you're describing does happen, and projects are deliberately kind of approaching providing liquidity with that intention in mind. But but for the most part, there's, a dirty secret out there in in the industry, which is that you can't get listed on exchanges unless you have, like, a market maker that's recognized by the exchange. And often, the way that those agreements are structured give the projects very little visibility or control over what happens in those arrangements. It's it's down to the market makers themselves. There are lots of market makers out there that are not transparent about the way that things are done. They they are often set up with loan arrangements, so the cost basis for them for the token is virtually zero. And and their incentive mechanism and the agreements is structured to benefit the market maker primarily and not the project itself or or the community. And it's one area of the industry that needs to be brought to heel for us to to grow. And there are there are market makers out there that are, you know, better in terms of transparency, that provide better reporting on what's happening, that have agreements that are structured more balanced with the projects. But it's kind of a thing that is, I think, has destroyed a lot of value in the space and will continue to do to... Do so until the bad actors are called out and and the industry moves forward. The good the good news is with what's happening in the regulatory frameworks, particularly in The US now, is that, you know, more sophisticated regulated market makers are starting to enter the space. And that will create a a new benchmark, I guess, in terms of what quality looks like, provide options for projects to engage market makers that behave more responsibly and more balanced and and set, you know, set the ones that are behaving in a dodgy way aside. And it's it's it's often... I don't wanna, like, you know, kind of give the balance to this. It's often outside of the project's control. You know, having been investing in this space for almost ten years now, I've seen a lot come and go from projects and a lot of projects that have engaged with with people in this space over the time. It's something that is definitely a problem that needs to be solved. And and, you know, conversely, there are plenty of of, I'm sure, opportunities out there for people to be deliberate about being malicious, and and we certainly, you know, you can see that all over the place too, but it's not always the case. Sometimes they're just as caught out as as the community is. [0:32:14] Dave @DCBK2LA: Yeah. I know Landy had to jump at at six. My bad, Landy. I want... I would love... I would love to get Landy's take. But, yeah, because, like, if... For those that know, like, when you go to list on an exchange, right, they tell you, oh, it's the... It's x amount of dollars to get you listed. And it's like, oh, do you need our market making services, or do you wanna, like, provide your own? And it's like, what? Like, who provide... Who knows how... Like, there's barely... [0:32:34] captain.root @aaronmcdnz: Some some exchanges have their own internal market makers that are market making against you. You know, they will put trading parameters on the project that Crazy. Put them in a position that they have to spend capital, which is not going to the community, and it's not going to the project, and it's not going to the value of the token. It's literally being sucked up by their own market maker because they've been very specific about the way liquidity should be structured in the books. Otherwise, you won't... Otherwise, they'll delist you. And if and if you don't do it the way they've structured it, you get you get, you know, warnings and delistings happening. And if you do, they've set their bots up to eat that liquidity. [0:33:24] Dave @DCBK2LA: Wait. So are you so are you suggesting that Marty Party was right? Are are you sure? Is that is that what you're saying, captain? I [0:33:32] captain.root @aaronmcdnz: don't know what Marty Party said, but but, like, having been around for a while and and being able to kind of learn from founders across the space and see and see some stuff firsthand ourself, this this this particular part of the market needs tidying up. And it's... To me, it's like a... It's a it's a really obvious opportunity for DeFi to make a difference. I just... I... It... For the life of me, can't understand why there isn't a really strong decentralized market maker function for centralized exchanges. In DeFi exchanges, this stuff does happen, of course, the same kind of things, but but it's a little bit harder to do because all of the activity is on chain. And so you don't get the same advantage, say, being an insider on the exchange side or a market maker that's linked to the exchange. But it seems like a, like, a huge opportunity. And maybe maybe it's all of us wanting projects to be on centralized exchanges that that, you know, creates this problem in the first place. Whereas if we all stuck to to trading on debts and believe in the power of blockchain and DeFi, we probably wouldn't have this many problems to to begin with. [0:34:59] Dave @DCBK2LA: Aaron, that's it. Right? Like, we've now grown accustomed to, like... Because the way it was in the big... Like, I I see the beginning. When I first came on, it was like centralized exchanges. They have all the liquidity. That's where you wanna be. And it's like everyone has been brainwashed to think that, like, they're... Like, this is the be all end all. And at the end of the day, like, these guy... These... Some of these guys are greeting motherfuckers, man. Like... [0:35:20] captain.root @aaronmcdnz: They all are. Yeah. People kind of often, like, oh, you're on such and such an exchange. That's an endorsement of, like, how good or bad your project is. No. It's fucking not. It's an endorsement of how much money they think they can make from you. Like, they list literal dog shit meme coins that become popular not because they think they're Finance. Secure. It's because because there's trading volume, and that's their business model. And it's not just... You know, it's not limited to one exchange. They all do it, and and I think people probably give exchanges way too much credibility in the space compared to the value extraction and destruction that that happens because of them. [0:36:00] Dave @DCBK2LA: Yeah. I'm with it. Listen. I... Because I was on the Wall Street side making markets. I've seen the ugly side of Wall Street, but I'll be honest. At this point, like, when you look at the crypto market making side versus the Wall Street side, like, there was some crazy shit that went on. Don't get me wrong. And that still goes on. But, like, now... And to what Aaron said, it's like, when you look at, like... If you... Aaron, if you can't figure out, like, the Life U White hasn't been adopted, like, we have to literally go out and brainwash everybody the complete other way to be like, look. These are the risks associated with centralized exchanges, and this is it with DeFi. And I'd rather go with smart contract risk and a few and a and a few others as opposed to a you... A greedy freaking human standing behind the computer being like, let me see. Yeah. No. 50,000 to lit... You know what I'm saying? Like, just rattling off numbers. It's crazy. [0:36:48] captain.root @aaronmcdnz: And, also, maybe, like, there's this kind of intersection between, like, DeFi and agents that can help solve this problem too because, you know, the power of DeFi is everyone participating and providing liquidity or or lending collateral or or borrowing for whatever trade they wanna make. Like, that's the kind of valuable thing is, like, crowdsourcing this stuff. And but not a lot of people necessarily know or have the skills to do it themselves. So maybe maybe as this kind of two technologies emerging, that can be a problem that can be solved where, you know, the agent is performing the function as an expert directed by the user, and you're, like, creating this more crowdsourced trading liquidity market making function through that. [0:37:37] Dave @DCBK2LA: I like that. Yeah. Yeah. Coma, go for it, then we're gonna get into, we're gonna get into chat with Aaron. Go for it. [0:37:43] Kkoma @itskkoma: Yeah. I was just gonna say that was a really good explanation of, like, the dangers of centralized exchanges. I think the problem right now is we're... Like, as a industry, we're stuck between a rock and a hard place where people, normally, don't really know how to use DeFi or... At all or decentralized exchanges or bridging or anything like that. So the only thing that they're comfortable with is centralized exchange. And to them, that's, like, the validity of, like, oh, I could trust I could trust these exchanges, but that's not even true because we saw FTX. But it... It's so hard right now because it... Right? It just seems like nowadays, any project that does get on these centralized exchanges goes through what you just described, and then it's just like a slow bleed of, like, this... The price going down. And I've seen that, like, firsthand with a couple of projects I was really bullish on, and I was kinda maybe almost, like, blindly bullish. Like, oh, it should definitely go up. But then maybe just behind the scenes, it was just the the stuff you were describing was happening. But, yeah, it's really tough because, you know, like, the... I guess the idea is that with the centralized exchange, you do get the the normies to wanna put money into these projects and, you know, you'll bring more people onto the project. But the the counterpoint is what you just described. So it's it's really tough, and I I really don't know what the right solution is. Like, better education, sure. But, like, do peep... Do normies really wanna go through these complicated process? I [0:39:05] Kool @koolcryptovc: don't know. [0:39:06] Dave @DCBK2LA: Know what I think it is? Like, it's that... It was the only way we can we can off ramp, right, back in the day. Like, I think that is a big deal. Like, it it was the only way for us to get money back if we made money and we wanted to see those money and not just let it live in crypto, like, universe. We wanted to put it back to pay our bills or to go pay for a vacation or for a car or something, and that was the only way you could... I mean, this is '20... I'm talking 2021. Now you have different options. Right? You have all these different... You have MetaMask issuing, like, literally debit cards. Right? Like, you can't shut your account. There was no way for us to off ramp. I mean, in 2021, it was impossible. Like, I was trying to get access... Obviously, you want access to as much liquidity, but it was all centralized exchanges. Aaron, am I wrong? [0:39:49] captain.root @aaronmcdnz: No. No. That is exactly right. On and off ramps were the initial use case. How do you get Fiat on and how do you get Fiat off? And and, really, that's why they cornered the market was because of those two things. To a certain extent, off ramps are being sold. Like, we have immersive in our future best group who who is a global tier one partner at at Mastercard and has an on chain Mastercard, which you can spend anywhere anywhere around the world directly linked to your on chain wallet. So no, like, intermediary in the middle. And the purpose of that, like, relationship was to try and kind of help solve this problem. They're in the process of rolling out that SDK into a bunch of popular crypto wallets so that more people can access that functionality. The on ramps is probably still a problem. There are more ways to on ramp now, and I think a lot of the, like, payment rail, traditional payment rail companies are opening their doors a little bit more to being on ramps because of the regulatory clarity that's coming through. And it's... I'm I'm I'm confident that that will... That trend will continue, that we'll see more of the of the banking and and credit card API providers allowing crypto on rent purchases as a result of that. So those two things, I think, will create an opportunity for us to come back to the to the DeFi side. Maybe there's, like, something, like, the industry needs to do to, like, create a market making code of conduct. Maybe it exists already. I don't know. That that the community, like, you know, endorses and has a way to, like, vet the standards that a market maker provides. And if it gets that tick, then you kind of got some kind of social consensus that they're doing things the right way, that maybe their contract should be transparent so that people can see how they're set up or there's, like, a standardized contract. Over in over in New Zealand here, we have when you're selling a house, there's, like, an industry standard contract for selling houses, which is managed by the Real Estate Institute. And everyone who buys and sells a house uses that standardized format because it's it's public. It's fair. You know, the... It it adheres to the regulations properly. And so maybe something like that, maybe the community can force it by saying, like, has your market maker got this tick or or something like that? [0:42:20] Dave @DCBK2LA: That's it. Everyone's just been operating in these freaking silos. No pun intended. But for real, like, everyone... Like, it's... Like, I don't know, man. But, yeah, we could spend probably a whole... Aaron, we could probably spend two hours talking about this shit. But, guys, I wanna get in... Yeah. I swear. We're gonna get... Guys, we'll get into the Babylon news a little bit at the end because I I wanna make the most of the time, obviously, that we have with Aaron. So, obviously, stay tuned there. We got a bunch more. Like, retweet, share the space if you guys wanna qualify. I got three more invites for the quacks and wall chain. But, Aaron, let... Let's jump in, man. Like, what has been going on? Like, you guys are straight. There is so much there is so much happening within your ecosystem, but give us give us the latest, man. Like, what, like, what it... Like, what is going on within the entire future versus ecosystem? Obviously, like, we'll talk story, you know, that partnership, but, I mean, everything from interoperability, AI web three creativity, future of tokenized IP, like, what is new? Like, what's cooking over there, bro? [0:43:17] captain.root @aaronmcdnz: Bro, all of the things you talked about are cooking. I think, like, we've been... We were set up to, like, try and solve this, like, end to end user experience for what people imagined the metaverse to be, where you watch something like Ready Play One. You can you can go take the things you love with you to things built by people all over the world and have fun with them. And that's kind of the essence of, like, the dream of the metaverse is that it's as simple to interact with the immersive web as it is to interact with the the... With the browser based web today. To do that requires solving problems in these, like, several complex domains to make it happen. And and so we assembled the team to do that, and we've been, like, diligently working away, like, cracking each one of those nuts, putting them together, and and making that puzzle whole. And now we're finally starting to, like, get the stuff out there into the hands of people so that they can start to play with it and experience it it... Themselves, and it feels really good. You know, we've got early access opening up to all fluff and party beer holders this week for for the ReadyVerse. So if you've got one of those, you can now jump in and start to experience what we've been building there and use your your fluffs with UBF built in, which is our interoperability standard for the first time in some of these really beautiful spaces. Nice little Easter egg hunt for fluffs in there exclusively, and and looking forward to people's kind of feedback on that. Next phase after that, we'll be onboarding some bigger games and some bigger brands from the space, some more collaborations with other chains, and try and really create, like, this discovery engine for all the cool things that people out there have been building and make them truly interoperable to... Together so that fans and gamers can, for the first time, really experience the value of ownership. [0:45:31] Dave @DCBK2LA: Love that. What what were the chains you said that were coming up? What were the announcements again? [0:45:37] captain.root @aaronmcdnz: Well, there's one going out tonight, midnight ish, sometime around there, which I think is gonna be a pretty big one for the space and for us at Futureverse. We've got... You know, we talk... We talked a little bit earlier about the story collaboration. We're we're doing kind of similar things with a bunch of other with a bunch of other chains in the space, which we can talk about a little bit later, to to really kind of... And everyone I've been talking to in each one of these projects, even though we're, like, competitive at the edges, we're we're all trying to get the same outcome, which is more IP on chain, more user ownership, more interoperability, and more value because of that. And it's really been great to to kind of have those conversations and realize that, you know, we're not not truly competing with each other, although there are competitive areas. You know, we're competing against the old system. And if we band together, that's the way that we prove that this is valuable and useful, not by trying to replicate it in our own silos. [0:46:46] Bildo Verde @BildoVerde: And, Aaron, just... I mean, I'm super stoked that you're here, and, you know, I've spent a lot of time within this community that Dave's kinda correlated. And we've talked a lot about a lot of different projects, and I've always kinda long believed that this is the sleeping giant. And I'm happy that you're coming on now because it's... You're starting to see some of the pieces come together. Can you kinda maybe just give a quick little breakdown root network, root token, kind of the hub of everything, how XRP plays a role in it? We just saw some massive announcements with silo, what kind of role or what problems those solve, and then Yeah. Also with Think and Story and how Yeah. They all kinda come together to, you know, bring back this, like, story of interoperability just so everybody has a little bit of context. [0:47:32] captain.root @aaronmcdnz: Yeah. Yeah. So, like, almost every protocol... Well, not almost. Literally every protocol we've we've been building has been built with interoperability in mind. So if we think about silo first, we wanted to make it possible for you to take the things you love with you. So that could be your friends, could be your identity, could be your collectibles. And in order to do that, we needed to have a protocol in the network that was optimized for that kind of storage, you know, the data that goes along with storing those things, which is not ideal to do on a on a base layer chain. And we we also needed to create a way for that kind of data to be truly decentralized. And so that's that's the structural kind of approach for silo is how do you create a protocol that allows different kinds of data storage to exist for different kinds of things, for users to contribute to that network, and for Oracles to verify that data so that you know when you're going from thing to thing, it's the right thing or it's the the correct thing. And so silo largely consists of those two things, different kinds of Oracles that can verify different kinds of data and different... And a and a way to store different kinds of assets or data in different kinds of storage modes. You put those two things together, then you have what silo is trying to do to enable the portability of those things that you love. So that hosts something like the asset register, which is like a standardized ontology for how to describe an asset so that games can understand it the same way. It create... It contains the profile service, which is which is about how your identity is constructed and how you take that between games and experiences. We'll launch the site... Silo social graph next, which is about taking your friends with you between those connected applications, games, and experiences, and being able to do that in a way that is user data owned and oriented. Same kind of thing for Think. So Think was initially approached about how do you make intelligence ownable and interoperable. And it's got, like, three bits to it. You've got this kind of underlying protocol which describes... Let's call it the metadata of an agent. This is called a genome, and it really gives a a standardized way for people to construct a personality or skills of an agent that can be universally understood by any app. Sorry. Excuse me. And also provides ran... A random approach to doing that. And the the randomness is super important because without that, what you'd end up with in a world of billions of agents is most of them falling into certain categories because that's how human brains think. You you you essentially end up with the 12 star signs of agents. They'll all seem very familiar because there isn't... There's this kind of tendency for humans to coalesce around around certain profile architects if they if they do it themselves. And so base layer is provide a standardized way, this genome, which we call non fungible intelligence, to to create an agent baseline that you can build on top of that can be understood by any AI, by any LLM, by any machine learning model. And so any developer can build anything on top of that base layer. That's going live as a protocol for the first time this week. We've had it used in some early cases with with the Genesis brains and g... Gen two brains. But as a as a protocol that anyone can build on top of, that's going live this week with the launch of our three d generated tool, Altered State. The the... [0:52:00] Dave @DCBK2LA: Wait. Another three d generative tool from [0:52:03] captain.root @aaronmcdnz: Yeah. So we... Yeah. So so altered state is our is our own foundational model for generating three d things, and it's been in early access. We're about to launch into open access and to connect it to the publishing flow. So what that means is that people can prompt or use an image to create a three d thing, And that... If you like that thing, then you can publish it. And in the publishing process, it mints it as a NFT on the root network, which you will own in your wallet. It assigns it a genome, so it's now an agent, or it's got the agent DNA inside of it. And and it creates a universal blueprint for it so that it can be interoperable in any game. [0:52:51] Dave @DCBK2LA: Okay. I got so many questions. Well, the first thing I wanna say is, Billo, the days of you wooing all the web three ladies because of your, hey. You want a three d asset because you had early access to this shit? [0:53:02] Kkoma @itskkoma: Or done, bro. Okay? [0:53:04] Dave @DCBK2LA: Done. Now I have so many questions there. Holy crap. So the... When you say... Okay. The genome aspect. Right? So now it's like, this is now minted on chain... It's minted on the root network, you said? [0:53:16] Kkoma @itskkoma: Yep. [0:53:18] Dave @DCBK2LA: Wow. Okay. And then you could then take this asset that, like... So now once it's... I... Yeah. My brain is on overload now because now I'm thinking story, the IP, and, like, a like, a... You know what I mean? Like, how... Yeah. How is this all so... How... [0:53:31] captain.root @aaronmcdnz: Story Story is really interesting. Like... So what what Story is trying to do, which is quite different to what we've been trying to do, is they've been trying to solve the legal conundrum for copyright, basically. And and that's been a fairly, like, well trodden narrative for Web three. NFTs let you, like, monetize and royalty control and prove ownership and all that kind of stuff. But it it never really had any legal basis. And so what they're trying to do is solve that legal basis. Now I'm not I'm not saying they have completely solved it because it's very complicated. It's jurisdictionally specific. Copyright laws are applied differently. You would still have to go through some legal process in the real world to, like, claim your rights or claim infringements and those kinds of things. But they're making a step on that journey, and it's not a thing that we have been trying to to solve for. And so... But what we have been trying to solve for is how do you actually control IP on chain? And that's what UBF allows you to do. The blueprints allow you to determine, you know, what... Who can own your asset, what it's compatible with in terms of, like, other things, collectibles, wearables, whatever, where it can go, and what worlds it can be... Can exist in. Those kinds of things can be built into your into your blueprint. And so so at one point, we can collaborate, you know, that we can integrate what they're doing on the legal side with what we're doing on the on the interoperability and asset management side, and so that a end user could get the best of both of those things. They could register their their IP claim on Stories network, and they could mint that asset on on the root network, for example, or leverage the silo asset register and mint it on on story. So that's kind of one layer that we can collaborate around. Another one is, like, users. We have this great thing called PaaS, which can aggregate users across different blockchains and make it simple for people to onboard from from web three... From web two. I think it's probably the broadest one click onboard anywhere in web three. You can you can join from your epic games account, Roblox, Twitch, TikTok, Meta, email, phone number [0:56:01] Dave @DCBK2LA: What is it called? Pass. [0:56:04] captain.root @aaronmcdnz: Yeah. Oh. And even brands can have their own pass. We've we've been doing quite a bit of work with some big brands around the world integrating pass into their single sign on flows. And so from a user's experience point of view, they just kinda do what they normally do, and they can now come into the ecosystem. That that functionality is cross chain already. And so integrating that into Story means now Story's users can access PaaS, and by accessing PaaS, they can access interoperability through all these different games and applications and experiences. And, also, they're publishing content on their chain. They've got brands and IP that they're working with. We've got brands and IP that we're working with. We can bring those all together in something like the Readyverse, which is this, you know, discovery engine for immersive interoperable content. [0:56:56] Dave @DCBK2LA: Got it. I know I'm hugging... I mean, I'm hugging Mike. But, like, go for it. [0:57:00] Bildo Verde @BildoVerde: We mentioned FuturePass numerous amounts of times. They've announced, you know, a partnership with Shibuya City. And so, like, if you were coming in from that, they have their own branded pass, which is this Shibuya pass. So, like, we have the future pass, but now other companies or IP can use that same technology. So pass is just kind of the general term that other people can now tie into. [0:57:26] captain.root @aaronmcdnz: Correct. Yeah. [0:57:28] Dave @DCBK2LA: Okay. So so wait. I I also heard you say... I heard you mention something called UBF. Right? Is that... And and is that, like, another interoperability layer? [0:57:37] captain.root @aaronmcdnz: Yeah. That... So you... That's the universal blueprint framework, which is nerd speak for a new way to make three d assets. That means that you can make it once, and it can go everywhere. And we do all the heavy lifting inside of that standard so that I can make, like, an avatar on altered state, prompt that into existence, or upload a PFP of of an NFT that I have and make it into an avatar, And then it creates this blueprint. And then anyone who installs the UBF interpreter, this little plug in in their application, whether it's in Unreal or Unity, for example, that thing will automatically work inside of their game or application, and they won't have to do anything in order to onboard those users in that content. In fact, it's got other, like, superpowers as well. So the the asset doesn't live in the game. Like, when you make a game, normally, you ship it and you download it. And what you're you're typically doing is all of the content, say your avatar, lives inside the game itself, which is kind of, like, not very good for the metaverse because you want your thing to live everywhere. And what UBF allows you to do is to have it live in this one decentralized place, and everyone else looks at it, look at the at the instructions for it, and assembles it in their game or application or experience. And so if you change your thing, it changes everywhere instantly without those developers having to do anything. So if I was, like, putting them in wearable, for example, I could put that wearable on, and it would instantly be available in all those other games and experiences without that developer having to do anything extra. So it, like, lifts a lot of the heavy burden to make interoperability happen for developers. [0:59:34] Dave @DCBK2LA: Got it. Okay. That makes sense. So... Okay. So now let let... I just wanna just rewind once I get now back to the to the the the story protocol, like, collab. Right? I get it that it was just, like... It was just an MOU, but we've talked... Because Metabeast brought this up one time, and we were talking about, like, you know, it's all great, but how does, like, this stuff, like, get... Actually get enforced? Right? Because I heard you say words like, you know, put a claim in and so on. But but that that aside, like, I don't... We don't have to get into that existential conversation. But Yeah. Like, what It's [1:00:05] captain.root @aaronmcdnz: a big one. [1:00:06] Kkoma @itskkoma: It's a [1:00:06] Dave @DCBK2LA: big one. Yeah. We... I know we'll be... We'll go down Rabbit Hole City because forget about it. No pun intended on that one either. And I... Bill, I just realized, Aaron is a pink bunny. He's pink. You're red. I knew... Okay. You just absolved.... [1:00:19] captain.root @aaronmcdnz: Is called Barney Fur, and this is actually... I think I bought I bought this guy not too long ago because I gave my mane away in a competition for charity. And and then I I kinda replaced him with this guy, and and his name is Snoop something. He's smoking a blunt, like, hat on and Barney fur. [1:00:43] Dave @DCBK2LA: Barney Furr. Alright. You got it, sir. Bildo, if you think I'm gonna refer to you anything even close to that, you're crazy. But at least you got you got promoted to to to Red. Alright. But wait. So tell us about maybe, like, what are some of maybe, like, the future verse assets that you guys... Like, how are you gonna how does this partnership or or this collab, like, evolve? Right? Are there, like, certain IP assets from, like, the future verse portfolio that you're gonna essentially bring on to Story like to like to test out? How's that gonna work? [1:01:07] captain.root @aaronmcdnz: I think, like, that from our perspective, our focus for our own first party, like, IP and relationships from an asset point of view is all route network based because we think that that's, like, you know, the optimal user experience that we've kind of strung together in this [1:01:25] captain.root @aaronmcdnz: in this end to end flow. But but something that we create on our network could also be registered on the network. That's kinda where I see the really good, you know, interesting interactions. So one one way to do that might be integrate stories IP registration process into the altered state publish flow. So now you get your three d thing. You get a agent genome built into it. You get your UBF for interoperability, and you get this, like, legal claim to owning that thing. That's the kind of, you know, interrupt flow that I could see working on that side. And I think from their side to us, IP that they're building on their chain or tooling they're building on their chain, they can expose through the ReadyVerse. So when, you know, they've got a brand or something that wants an immersive experience or a game that needs a launcher, they can come to come to the ReadyVerse, have that integrated in there. Because Pass is integrated to Stories Network, people who own those assets will be able to see them in the inventory on on the other side and, you know, verify token ownership in those third party games or experiences on on the ReadyVerse side. [1:02:39] Dave @DCBK2LA: And and will... Like, I guess, I missed my last question, and I'm I'm turning it over to you guys. The... Will, like, a lot of these, like, maybe story apps, are they gonna be plugged into, like, the ReadyVerse? Like... Or I think... Is that [1:02:50] captain.root @aaronmcdnz: like...... Idea. Yeah. Yeah. I mean, I think the the one thing that that the ReadyVerse can do, which I think is a gap in web three, is provide that discovery layer. Like, if you're if you're a game studio or developer out there, you will know how hard it is to get on Steam or Epic Games or whatever. It's a nightmare process. Even if you're web two, it's a nightmare process. And so we wanna make that onboarding process for people of building at this new forefront of technology super simple, and we wanna show the real power of interoperability. Like, if we can do that together as a collective, that's our only chance at winning. I I don't wanna under... Understate that. That's the only point of difference that matters from web two to web three is ownership and interoperability. And if we can't, as a community, showcase that, then we fail. And I think the Readyverse has this unique opportunity to be the engine for discovering those things and connecting those things because it has this fantastic IP that is about interoperability and connectedness and openness in the metaverse. And so it can it can appeal to someone who's in our world as equally as it can to a top studio IP and provide that opportunity for for both sides to come together and and and showcase the value to consumers of owning their own stuff. [1:04:22] Dave @DCBK2LA: I like that. And for [1:04:23] Bildo Verde @BildoVerde: context, everybody, ReadyVerse was founded by Aaron and Char, who's another founder of FutureVerse, alongside of Ernest Cline, who is the author of Ready Player One and Ready Player Two, as well as Dan Farr, who is the producer of Ready Player One. [1:04:38] Dave @DCBK2LA: So does this mean also, like, more... Maybe more... Thanks below. More immersive content? Like, are we gonna get, like, like, now royalties also for creators, like, because it's on story? Like, how's that gonna work? [1:04:47] captain.root @aaronmcdnz: Well, I think, like, royalties as a function is kind of, like, something that you can generically do anywhere on a blockchain. The the, you know, the the effectiveness of enforcing that varies between them. And, you we all know what happened with royalties on OpenSea. Yeah. OpenSea. Right? And that, like, that in itself, I think, is, like, a really, I know, under under discussed topic because there was this social contract between projects and communities that, you know, we buy this thing, and we contribute royalties, and the royalties help fund this ongoing thing. And I think if you look at the economics, probably not widely known, but the economics of making something, you know, particularly pregenerative AI in that NFT space, you would almost always... From... For the averagement, we're not talking about some of the outliers, but for the averagement, you'd almost always almost always spend most of the money you made on the primary making the thing. So you were, like, almost entirely dependent on secondaries to fund the ongoing development of it. And when that broke down, you know, the the social contract that existed there because people made it easy to escape the royalty payments or liquidity dried up as it did, then that kind of broke the economics of those things. And I think it's an under... Underappreciated aspect of what happened in that that collapse is there were two things that that happened there. One was this breaking of the social contract around royalties and the whole impetus of community funded, you know, IP and a misunderstanding about how much it cost to produce this stuff in the first place versus what you get back from it alongside alongside the kind of market breakdown that happened at the same time, which was external to to to any... Even NFTs. It was caused by Terra Luna and all that crap going on. So so I think, like, that's the first thing I'd say on royalties. The second thing is, like, we tried to innovate around that with the Root Network. If you create something on the Root Network's NFT runtime, it doesn't use smart contracts. It uses an embedded chain code to mint those NFTs and to enforce the royalties. So it's done at the network layer as opposed to a contract layer. Makes it a little bit harder to to escape the royalty payment, which is much more creative friendly and, ultimately, more community friendly because if that project is a good project, those royalties will help fund the good stuff that they're they're doing. Royalty enforcement, on the other hand, if you if you wanna take action on that, is a legal matter. And what Story have done is created a standardized legal contract that you're signing a legal agreement to when you use that IP. And so that's, like, step one. We've got a contract that is standardized, and there is a time stamp on chain to prove ownership if if that is minted on Stories chain or if it's associated with a contract time stamp on their chain. And and that can be used in the contract claim process, which means that you could go to court and file and say, hey. We... Amongst the evidence we have that we own this thing, here's here's our on chain evidence, and here's the contract that users signed up to that binds them to following those rules. So it's a step down the track of automating that process of enforcement and claims, but it doesn't actually do it. You still have to go through the the the mechanism that you would normally go through as an IP IP rights holder. [1:08:52] Dave @DCBK2LA: Copy. Okay. Yeah. Meta Beast, Bildo, I'll hand it over to you guys if you guys have questions. For anybody else that's in the audience, like, we got twenty minutes left with Aaron. If you guys wanna come up, put questions in the comments, like, feel free. Yeah. Like like, let's chat. Because Meta Beast, were the one that that genuinely started, like, peaking our curiosity with this whole story protocol stuff. So I don't know if you have either any questions for Aaron, stuff you wanna chat about. I know you're obviously big on this whole thing, and Metabies noticed that I think we've only said Root Network, like, twice so far. So that's like a record. [1:09:23] MetaBeast @AKCMetaBeast: Yeah. Real real quick. So I... There was the mention of integrating into the the future verse and whatnot or the ReadyVerse. I discovered your... Just discovered yeah, yes, the other day, New Canon? Story storytelling? Yeah. The new New Canon AI. I was wondering if that that was one of the main ones that would be linked to that because I'd started building on it, and it does have a gaming or game [1:09:58] captain.root @aaronmcdnz: category super to across that one specifically, whether it's it's gonna be the first or not. I know I know of it, but... [1:10:08] MetaBeast @AKCMetaBeast: I mean, it's pretty detailed. It's... [1:10:10] captain.root @aaronmcdnz: Yeah. Yeah. [1:10:10] MetaBeast @AKCMetaBeast: What they do, it's kinda cool. [1:10:12] captain.root @aaronmcdnz: Yeah. No. I like I like the idea of being able to, like, have an assistant to help generate lore and and and take that into into a gaming experience. I think the the opportunity for integration would be for us to, like, turn... You know, take that and integrate it with something like the Think Protocol so that that that can be the backstory that powers an agent's experience or something like Altered State so that it can be the input prompt to generate content, a character, or an environment, or something like that from those two things. Like, both both of those tools working together would be pretty powerful for world building. [1:10:57] MetaBeast @AKCMetaBeast: Yeah. I I I love how it's how... It's helping me finally get this... All these characters I've had. [1:11:04] captain.root @aaronmcdnz: In your mind. [1:11:05] MetaBeast @AKCMetaBeast: Yes. Yes. Or some of these guys might say that I actually play out, but I don't. [1:11:13] captain.root @aaronmcdnz: And in general, this is, like, a fascinating thing. Like, what what... Where we're headed, and it's like a a kind of a bit of a more macro meta conversation if you're up for my, like, boring nerd stuff. The... We're now about 39, 45, somewhere in that range, games a day launch on Steam. So content creation... Even though that seems like a lot, you know, there's billions of people in this world. So content creation in this domain has been relatively constrained. We're gonna go from that over some, like, near term horizon to a billion gamers making games every day. And that paradigm change because of these tools is gonna change the way content is monetized and and value is perceived. It's gonna be quite a fundamental change. You know? People have been able to create walled gardens because of scarcity. You know, walled gardens exist in a triple a game scenario, for example, because not many people can raise, you know, the hundreds of millions of of dollars of capital that was previously needed to make a game like that. Not everyone can find the thousands of developers it took to make a game like that. And so when you can capture resources, you can capture audiences. That... That's going away. Their model's dead already. It's a zombie. People will be able to create equivalent quality things by using these next generation tools, and so the value capture becomes less... Much less easily to... Easy to exploit. So what will be, like, more valuable in those... In that world, in that paradigm change is the is the things I love and wanna take to those experiences because the experiences will be everywhere. There'll be a new one coming up just like a new meme comes up on your on your TikTok feed. They'll come up as quickly as they disappear, and very few will make it above the line. But what I want to be able to do just like I can on TikTok is is take my identity to the next meme, to the next post, to the next interaction, to the next shit talk, to the next FUD, whatever it happens to be. Like, we're doing this already in the two d flat web, and so that's going to that's going to happen in this immersive space. And my my my digital identity, my, you know, avatar, my fluff, whatever it is, is gonna be my Rex. Shout out to the to the the Rex community there. It's gonna be the thing I'm gonna want to take with me. So then ownership and interoperability becomes the primary driver of value. Being able to take my social network with me is gonna be really important because I wanted my friends to come with me to the next game that Boudo prompted yesterday. You know, those are the things that we've tried to focus on from a protocol perspective, identity, asset interoperability, social interoperability, if you can if you can build the rails to make those things happen, then anyone can build connected games and experiences every day that are new and fun and memetic in nature and value. And so that's kind of the world we're building towards. I'd say, like, the exception to that is with so much content out there being produced for virtually nothing, you know, the the exceptions to where value can probably reside would be quite limited, but I think they're probably linked to two things. One, if you're already above the fray, you're franchise, you've got brand recognition. If you do things right and you lean into this interoperability, then you can you can continue to stay above the fray because your thing, your avatar, for example, your Batman, that could that could go with you between all of these experiences just like I can wear a Batman t shirt into Disneyland and no one has a problem with it. And so if they lean into that, then they'll be able to stay above the fray. And the other thing is where the intersection of IP and the real world meets. And, like, a really good example of that is sports. In sports, it's very hard to replicate that brand experience or that IP because I can't prompt a stadium into existence. I can't prompt Messi into existence. And so having the ability to to link IP to something I'm emotionally connected to because my dad watched the sport or because it's my local team down the road or because it's where my friends go to hang up and gamble on the outcomes. Like, those are those are the things I think we'll be able to, like, sustain value in this, like, emerging world of of what could be the the dead Internet theory, but could also have this new life through interoperability. [1:16:15] MetaBeast @AKCMetaBeast: If I if I can ask... So, you know, you mentioned all the number of games going... Being added to stream... Steam and just all all the free stuff out there. How how... Do you have any recommendations for someone who's one person? And, I mean, with AI out there, it's making it faster for everyone, but it's still... If you're one person trying to create something to gain momentum, I can't even imagine an author having... How long it takes them to put together a world and characters that way. Because I... Right now, as far as I can tell, I have a totally unique world and group of characters here that I really wanna build out as quickly as possible, but I wanna do it right too. [1:17:14] captain.root @aaronmcdnz: Yeah. I mean, I think I think what you have to, like, imagine the macro model looking like is is... And we are lucky here, everyone, in this domain to see, like, the good or bad of the future of of the attention economy because we saw it with meme coins. Like, unlimited number of them, extremely cheap to produce. You know, most of them fail. The ones that succeed often do briefly, and the ones that last have that little bit of extra magic. And the magic typically comes down to how that community sticks together through thick and thin, And that's something that will continue to be the valuable thing, and this kind of, like, you know, community power becomes more important in that world because it's so quick, easy, cheap to to get something out there. And and it has to be less... I think cults of personality will still exist. They always will because we're we're humans that that wired someone that... Somewhat that way. But, you know, being able to, like, band together when everything doesn't go well is a sign of fortitude that will carry communities beyond those memetic moments into something that is sustainable. So maybe optimize for that. And that's much easier said than done because, you know, it's it's it's hard to achieve that outcome. And especially when things don't go the way people expect, they can become very, like, divisive. And so... And it's, again, it's just human nature. It's unavoidable. No one's at fault for those things, but it's just the way we're wired. And so the good news is you now have the opportunity to compete because you couldn't before. You're... You were stuck. You were locked in your mind. And now these tools give you the the ability to be on the competitive stage and to try and push through and take the thing that you love and try and convince other people to love it too. [1:19:45] Dave @DCBK2LA: Good stuff, Metabeast. Yeah. Sorry. Go ahead, Bill. [1:19:47] Bildo Verde @BildoVerde: Oh, no. I was just gonna... I know Coma had his hand up at at one point. I wanted to give him an opportunity if he still had a question or anything he wanted to add. If not, then I know no credits came up and wanna give him a chance to ask as well. So, Koma, then no credits? [1:20:02] Kkoma @itskkoma: Oh, yeah. Thank you, Vildo. Matt, I I feel like I'm learning a lot, but one thing that as someone that's completely new to just everything, the root network, if I'm just trying to get started in your... The ecosystem, where would you recommend, like, step zero? [1:20:23] captain.root @aaronmcdnz: Yeah. If you're coming at coming at it from, like, a community member point of view, I think the first... The, like, first easiest way is to find a friend in the in the community already and sign up to the Root Rewards affiliate link, get yourself a pass. Because once you have a pass, then you can start to explore everything that's connected to the ecosystem. The the the community that's in Discord or in the silo spaces is really good. You know, they are knowledgeable. They understand all the ins and outs. I think it's important going into this to to understand that you don't have to know everything. And you don't have to do everything, and you don't have to own everything because it is a big ecosystem. It's getting even bigger with some of the stuff that's coming out, and we need to... You know, our job is to provide the tools for more of that to happen because that's how we bring value to something like the Root Network. More communities, more content, more interactions, more users. And so trying to get your head around all of it could probably take your whole life. So if you're a creator, I recommend starting with Altered State because that's the fun place to make memes to... And now to, like, make the three d assets that you could take with you into these, like, immersive experience. If you're if you're a gamer, get yourself a fluff or a party beer, jump into the Readyverse now that that's opening up from closed early access into the... They call it the the fluff edition of early access because then you'll start see how these emotion... Most immersive social experiences and game launching stuff starts to happen. If you're into farming, jump into the third kingdom, which is our simulation strategy game where you can use these different collectibles to earn earn rewards in the route network as well. So those are probably the three starting points if you're if you're interested in joining the ecosystem. [1:22:36] Dave @DCBK2LA: And and Coma, just so you understand. Like, I... The... I've... Literally, I've I've... We've been talking with Aaron, and, obviously, like, since build on get... Like, Miss Gecko brought this to us, bro. Like, I didn't realize, like, how, like, plugged in every... Bro, we had the dude from... The head of web three from VanEck on here, like, literally being like, yeah. I'm a party bear. And I'm like, what the fuck? Like, you go on their plat... Like, it was wild, bro. So these things actually extend out. I mean, they really genuinely do. It was like... I think, Bill, though, like, they opened it up for you too. Right? Like, on the... For for the Yeah. On the segment stuff where you could, like, stake your your assets and shit? [1:23:14] Bildo Verde @BildoVerde: They reopened it. So we got... Yeah, yeah. I got a lot of XP in segment for owning a bunch of fluffs. Selfish plug, if you need one of those referral codes that Aaron mentioned, I have it pinned to the top also in the comments. I would much appreciate it. But, yeah, you wanna go no credits? [1:23:32] Dave @DCBK2LA: Oh, credits. No credits. You know you know how I know how literally... You know how... What that was for Bill to actually do that? So it's like, that go... That that literally goes against everything, like, in Bill. He's like, ugh. I hate this chilling shit so much. Yeah. Sign up using his freaking referral code, everybody. Thank you. Go ahead. [1:23:51] Voice J: Yeah. I I think his referral code's broken. So if anyone has trouble, just ask me. [1:23:55] Dave @DCBK2LA: I'll I'll give you my Yo. Don't snipe the dude. [1:24:00] Kkoma @itskkoma: Ham. [1:24:02] Dave @DCBK2LA: Metaphys comes in with this. Yo. Yeah. You guys are grinding, man. A little honor amongst you thieves. [1:24:08] Bildo Verde @BildoVerde: Sorry for that. [1:24:09] Kkoma @itskkoma: I'll use Dave's. I'll use Dave's. [1:24:10] Dave @DCBK2LA: There you go, Coleman. Exactly. [1:24:12] Voice J: No. Builder's been here working away for ages, so do do support the guy for everything he's done, all the time he's given up. So go use this code. Aaron, thanks again for popping into yet another community. One thing I wanted to say was that every time you come to a new community and you rephrase the same things, it makes it more and more clear and then the new community asks different questions. I've been here since party bears minted and I'm still learning stuff. I really appreciate the time that you give to these spaces because I think it really does make things a lot more clear. If people in the audience have been listening and feel like they're overwhelmed, don't worry. Most of us still are and that's just part of the journey is that you're gonna find your flavor that you enjoy and the things that appeal to you and just focus on that. Don't try to know everything because you can't. I also just wanted to say that that the reason we're building on the Root Network is all of the things you've just heard today. All of those technologies, all of the the the collabs that Futureverse will no doubt release, That's why we wanna be part of this community because I think the the ability to create a character and to own a character and to become that character just like in Ready Player One, that was what drove us to shift towards the future verse and and the UBF and all of that system so that when we launch, we... You can have a character that that you can build and collect and and it's just... It's so magic. I really appreciate your time. [1:25:46] Bildo Verde @BildoVerde: Yeah. And to Captain's point earlier, I've never seen, you know, a company or a group of companies working together or looking at it from such a bird's eye view that there really is a lot of different ways to approach it to where if you're just a crypto native and you wanna solely play the coin game or the token game, you can certainly... You know, there's staking, there's rewards for staking, There's rewards for multiple different tokens than if you hold those tokens on the root network. So there's a whole list of things that you can do and be rewarded just for holding tokens on the network, but then there's also, like, a gaming side aspect to it. So I really, you know, just double down on what Aaron said, find out what you know or what you're into, and then start exploring those kinda one by one. And I'm always free. I have told everybody misgex can attest, meta bee can attest. I'll probably tell you, just give me fifteen minutes, and I'll do you a quick overview, and then we end up spending two hours on the phone trying to go over everything. So, I'm always open if anybody has questions, more than willing to help out however I can. [1:26:50] Dave @DCBK2LA: Let's go. Oh, and real quick, I did wanna point out. Shout out... Aaron, I don't know if you're aware of this, but some... One of my... One of our community members, Dean Hinano, like, they're... They they launched something called FutureWatch. And Oh, yeah. Yeah. So, I mean, incredible stuff, man. I don't know if you've tuned in yet or what, but I'm sure they would love to have you on there as well, man. It's incredible. Metabeast's on there. Build those on there. Obviously, like, you know, spitting... I mean, crazy. Yeah. [1:27:17] captain.root @aaronmcdnz: Always up for a good space. [1:27:19] Dave @DCBK2LA: Love it. [1:27:20] captain.root @aaronmcdnz: We got so many great, like, content creators out there and, you know, shout out to Shilla's in the audience there that that hosts people from our team, builders, you know, product owners, community members, community builders. It just, like, it gets me... It gives me the energy to get up and keep doing this every day. Even even when things look, like, bad or bleak out there in the market, it's it's it's the... This thing that matters. It's the builders getting together and and making the change that we all wanna see as a community happen together. [1:27:54] Dave @DCBK2LA: Let's go. [1:27:55] MetaBeast @AKCMetaBeast: Yep. I I explore different metaverse platforms each week, so I've been waiting for ready... ReadyVerse to eventually be one of those. And just FYI tonight Tonight, they're interviewing Fareside for wallet security if anybody is interested as well. [1:28:10] captain.root @aaronmcdnz: MetaBase, do you have a fluff for a beer? [1:28:14] MetaBeast @AKCMetaBeast: I I don't have a fluff. I have a I have a gen one brain. I have a thingy. [1:28:20] captain.root @aaronmcdnz: I have a couple [1:28:21] Kkoma @itskkoma: of c [1:28:21] captain.root @aaronmcdnz: c c c [1:28:22] MetaBeast @AKCMetaBeast: c I have a party bear. [1:28:23] Dave @DCBK2LA: Oh, you have a [1:28:24] captain.root @aaronmcdnz: party bear. Okay. Sweet. [1:28:25] Dave @DCBK2LA: I do. [1:28:25] captain.root @aaronmcdnz: You got a party bear? You're in. So you get to check [1:28:27] Kkoma @itskkoma: it out. [1:28:28] captain.root @aaronmcdnz: Yep. Jump in the discord. [1:28:29] Bildo Verde @BildoVerde: You should've stayed quiet, man. You were [1:28:32] Dave @DCBK2LA: so close. You were just Shut up. [1:28:33] MetaBeast @AKCMetaBeast: My god. [1:28:35] Dave @DCBK2LA: My god. Meta Come on. Listen to the queues. You gotta read these rooms. I should've just muted Aaron real... I mean, I should've muted Meta Beast real quick and just been like, shut up. Aaron, go for it. Real quick before I go to Landy, Aaron, I know we got, like, just a few more minutes with you, and I wanna light this place on fire because I see Jesse down there. We need to talk agents because last time we were talking, it was like, everybody needs to fucking get this shit. Own your fucking data. So we're gonna light this on fire in two seconds. But, Landy, I know you came back. Thanks for coming back, bro. What's good? [1:29:05] Landy @CryptoLandy: Hey. It sounds like I missed, like, all of the all of the actual alpha. Like, I jumped out right when the alpha started, came back when it ended. So I just wanted to say, thank you to, to Aaron, Future First team because I'm gonna go back and listen to this. I have a lot to learn and a lot of catching up to do. And one of the things that that really caught my ear as I was just listening is when the market, you know, is down and it gets tough, builders keep building, and and real community stays. And and it's beautiful to see that, you know, we we saw the MemeCoin meta, and it's gonna obviously come back at some point. But see that die down and and watch the shift in sentiment go, hey. Hey. Remember those builders? We should probably be paying attention to what they're doing. So a big shout out, and, I'm I'm happy to, to go back and listen and learn because, boy, oh, boy, do I have a lot of catching up to do. I've been drinking from the fire hose of AI, and now I'm going to be drinking from the fire hose of the future verse. So, [1:30:11] captain.root @aaronmcdnz: I dig it. And if if you love that topic, I don't know if you've had the Think Guys Up Bildo, or not. But... [1:30:16] Bildo Verde @BildoVerde: Yeah. We had Mike Young almost every day last Yeah. [1:30:19] captain.root @aaronmcdnz: Yeah. Yeah. [1:30:20] Bildo Verde @BildoVerde: I wanna get Jesse and Felix up here, though. [1:30:22] Dave @DCBK2LA: Jesse, get up here, bro. Come on. [1:30:26] captain.root @aaronmcdnz: They they genuinely are, like, bringing that next layer to what we had started with the with the base kind of genome protocol to embody those those agent genomes and give them the the kind of functional powers that they need as agents to go out and do some of this cool stuff that we've been talking about. [1:30:50] Bildo Verde @BildoVerde: So circling back to something you mentioned earlier about kinda opening altered state to everybody, Is that something that they would be able to log in with an email? Not necessarily have to [1:31:02] Kkoma @itskkoma: know Yep. [1:31:02] Bildo Verde @BildoVerde: Not necessarily have to know crypto whatsoever. [1:31:06] captain.root @aaronmcdnz: Yeah. Totally. You... It's it's integrated to pass. [1:31:09] Bildo Verde @BildoVerde: Okay. Yeah. Yeah. Just wanna make it clear [1:31:10] captain.root @aaronmcdnz: that. So... [1:31:11] Bildo Verde @BildoVerde: It's like you don't have to... This is the onboarding of hiding the wires. You don't need to have, you know, crypto knowledge to be [1:31:18] Dave @DCBK2LA: able to use a lot [1:31:19] Bildo Verde @BildoVerde: of this stuff. So some of that easy onboarding seems like it's really gonna start to ramp up. [1:31:24] captain.root @aaronmcdnz: Totally. Yeah. And if you if you don't own crypto, pay with your credit card, and we'll take care of the the protocol fees and stuff on our side. [1:31:33] Dave @DCBK2LA: Hide the wires. Jesse. What is up, my man? What's good? Long time no speak. What's cooking, man? [1:31:41] Voice D: Good to talk to you. What's up, Aaron? It's good to see everyone. [1:31:45] Dave @DCBK2LA: Is Mikey alive at render at RenderCon over there? What's the deal? Are you reporting back the news? What's up? [1:31:50] Voice D: Yeah. He just he just he just demoed souls up in front of everybody. Yeah, I got a video. Somebody was in the audience and sent me a video. So we... So if you kinda wanna see how it's coming together, also, there's some alpha in the video. I'm surprised nobody's actually pointed it out yet, but we have a partnership we're announcing next week, [1:32:10] Dave @DCBK2LA: which will be a pretty cool, like, blue chip NFT that you'll be able to also use as a character. And if you watch the video, you'll probably connect the dots pretty easily. I'm sorry. Does this... Does the title of this show say come announce an announcement, guys? Like, is that is that what it says? These guys, like, they're announcing... [1:32:27] Voice D: I I can't officially announce anything, but when I saw the demo that Mike showed, I was like, oh, okay. Got it. He just put it front and center. So if you want the alpha, please watch the video. [1:32:37] captain.root @aaronmcdnz: Dave, Derek... I hate that, but everyone always asks for alpha. And it's like, well, there is exactly alpha, like, more than less than twelve hours away that I can't say because...... [1:32:47] Dave @DCBK2LA: Supposed to slip it in between. I never said what's the alpha. [1:32:51] captain.root @aaronmcdnz: If they listened carefully, they will get the alpha. If they listen carefully... I [1:32:56] Bildo Verde @BildoVerde: heard you mentioned that. [1:32:57] captain.root @aaronmcdnz: A few of you out there have picked up on it. [1:33:00] MetaBeast @AKCMetaBeast: And Dave and Dave, they mentioned all things crypto in fifteen minutes in their Discord. So [1:33:07] Dave @DCBK2LA: Oh. Alright. Since when... Oh, now all of a sudden, your team future... Alright. I see how it is. No. [1:33:12] MetaBeast @AKCMetaBeast: I've been I've been in there ever since Bill cleared up some things for me and [1:33:19] Dave @DCBK2LA: Oh, Scott. [1:33:20] MetaBeast @AKCMetaBeast: Help help me along the way and old guy barbecue. [1:33:23] Dave @DCBK2LA: Old guy barbecue. Love it. [1:33:24] captain.root @aaronmcdnz: Jesse, I need to... I've been, like, building a mental picture in my head of, like, how these different layers come together so that we can explain things a bit better. And I... I'm gonna run this past you because you're you're the the the king at visualizing and explaining... Let's go. But, basically, you kind of, like, have, like, infrastructure layer protocols, something like the root network or the nonfungible intelligence palette that are creating, like, this kind of very basic data structure to build stuff on top of. And that's what the the original ASM or think protocol was about. It was like this underlying data structure for how do you standardize an agent. How do you make that an ERC to anything? And then on top of that, you can have these, like... Let's call them application protocols. So you're going one step higher than the than the infrastructure protocol, which is the genome in this case to the smart wallet... Smart contract system that the think team bought and built on top of that base genome, and that gives the the body that we talk... You know, embodies that that agent with a soul so it can start to transact and and interact with these web three rails. And then on top of that, you've got, like you know, so infrastructure protocol, application protocol. And on top of that, you've got actual applications, and that's where something like AltaState can come in and and... Or the ReadyVerse can come in and provide a surface or a UX for those protocols to be expressed through. So if you think about those layers, that... Those are the things that we've been building in the ecosystem and now bringing that last bit to to life so that they can all interrupt and deliver that outcome. [1:35:11] Voice D: Yeah. I mean, 100%. Like, it's it's hard, I guess, for folks that haven't... Even if you worked at construction or something, you're used to seeing, well, you need a foundation, and then you need framing, and then you need windows. But I feel like we're hitting the point now, where people are gonna start to see it all click together. [1:35:26] captain.root @aaronmcdnz: Totally. [1:35:26] Voice D: And that's what I'm excited about. Well, people go like, oh, got it. Oh, shit. I guess you needed batteries in order to run the Game Boy, which you need the cartridge to put in the Game Boy. Like, I think people will start to see it how it's all gonna click together and be... And and then and then it'll all just dis... And if we do it right, it all disappears. [1:35:42] Kkoma @itskkoma: Yeah. [1:35:42] Voice D: Right? That's the other funny part. Yeah. [1:35:45] Dave @DCBK2LA: Okay. Tease us out now. We got April 22 coming up, Jesse, for the mint. Like, talk talk to us. What what what do we got cooking? [1:35:53] Voice D: Yeah. So it's your best way to get an allocation of ThinkTokens and to have an agent because, you know, when we start opening this up for beta testers and all that kind of stuff, these are really the folks that Mint are gonna be the folks that have first access to the SOLES platform. So I should say that, you know, there's there's the think agent protocol, which is a lot of the kind of stuff that Aaron was alluding to where it's all the... How do we connect all these things together so that agents can talk to each other in a performant way and all that kind of stuff? And then the person we built on top of that protocol is called souls, which you can think about it. The closest thing would be something like, if you're familiar with, like, Manus or even, ChatTPD type of type of portal where you can go and connect. And there's three kind of main value props around it. And the first one is you own the data, which means the first thing that happens when you log in to SOLES is you pick where do you want your data to go. So for me, I use it every day, and Mike does and John does. I I have literally up store all the... All of my data on my device because that's what I wanna do. But I could also connect it to... You know, you can put it on blockchain, you can put it on iCloud. It's kind of up to you, but you need to know that you custom your data. So first thing is you own it. The second thing is it evolves every day, but because we're an index of indexes and we're connecting new MCPs on a daily basis, it gets smarter every day. And then the last one, and this is the one I think people are probably most, like, stoked on when we visualize this and you see what it like, is you can personalize the agent. So if I wanna use any of Aaron's IP, if I wanna use, you know... But, well, we're announcing that, like I said, a big partner next week, you can bring your NFT in and they can embody it so you can pick its voice, how it looks. It's It's almost like creating a visualized version of Jarvis for yourself. So so those are the three things. It's like you own it, it gets smarter every day, and it's personal. And so that's Soul's platform, which will be launching in June, but we have the Mint coming up next week that allows you to get ThinkTokens before anybody else, before the TGE. It allows you to secure your own agent, which is almost like your account. And, also, we worked with one of my favorite artists in the world, Basic, to kind of in... Make the digital art piece that goes along with it. So it's not just like a generic account. It's it's actually a standalone piece of digital art as well, which is super sick because the kind of the the... If anybody knows what basic is, big kind of generative artists, the note we gave to basics team was what would a digital soul look like? And they and they visualize that. And so you're gonna get your first shot at those next week, and then we have the TG fast follow, and then we launch souls as a platform. And then you're rocking and rolling. You can build whatever you want, Dave. [1:38:28] Dave @DCBK2LA: Hold on a sec. [1:38:30] Voice D: And we... And and and then you have the metaverse side. Right? Because this is stuff Aaron and I haven't even talked about yet. Everything we're demoing is just of it, like, in a browser, or we also have a native Mac app. Right? But you haven't seen it do really crazy stuff yet. Like, in the demo we showed at Eat Denver, Aaron, showed the video where you had the agent [1:38:51] Kool @koolcryptovc: Oh, yeah. [1:38:51] Voice D: That actually made its own music and built its own world. We haven't even gotten into that stuff. That... That'll be coming... [1:38:59] Dave @DCBK2LA: There's the [1:38:59] MetaBeast @AKCMetaBeast: ones that give us more time. [1:39:01] Dave @DCBK2LA: Yeah. Well, the the idea is that Yeah. They they [1:39:04] captain.root @aaronmcdnz: all do, you know, like, the I... The idea is that your agent can start to do stuff for you that you don't wanna do, which should give you more time. Like, what we do with that time, hopefully, it's not more doom scrolling and and shit posting. Maybe... Probably it is. But they... You should have more time. That's that's an outcome of this agentic web. [1:39:29] Dave @DCBK2LA: Hold up a second. My brain is scattered across. [1:39:36] Voice D: Yeah. I could tell you some basic stuff I'm doing with mine because I'm using the native Mac app. I gave it root access to all of my... Pretty much all the... Everything on my Mac. Right? So inside of Souls, I'll be like, hey. Text John for me and tell him that we have a meeting at 04:00 and add it to my calendar, and then it will just do that for me. Right? So it's it's... It has, like, root access to my... Everything on my laptop, but it doesn't ever hit the cloud, right, because I'm just running everything locally. And if I do hit the cloud, it's because I'm running it through Venice. So this this is, like, the big thing... Two things. Number one, remember, when you're using these agent frameworks, like, you're using OpenAI or Google and you give them access, they see everything on your computer and it sees everything you look at on the Internet. Okay? So number one, be very careful with the access you give it. Right? The second thing, which is kind of a big premise that we're working from, is that you're primarily gonna be working with one agent. Like, there's a there's a website where you can go and find agents. It's called agent.agents.ai, and there's hundreds and hundreds of agents at agents. And it's so hard to figure out, well, okay. I want a calendar agent. I want an agent that does this or books my travel, and how do I connect them all together? What we built is an agent that does all that behind the scenes. So you're just talking to your agent and behind the scenes that's going and connecting all the other agents together to accomplish what you're trying to do, but you don't have to worry about that. So we're kind of, like, pushing that to the back. So primarily, you're gonna be working with one agent, gives you access to the whole kind of agentic web. It's it's an index of indexes, I guess. I don't know. Aaron, is there a better way to say that? [1:41:11] captain.root @aaronmcdnz: Yeah. No. I think it's like... I've always described it as like a super agent or like Voltron almost where you're kind of, like, instructing the creation of Voltron from these different parts. But, like, think of it as a super agent. It's probably the best way to, like, imagine it. [1:41:31] Voice D: And and that's a perfect way to say it because, Aaron, I was in Austin last week with John, and I was hanging out with the Morpheus team and SuperAgents, which is the name of their framework, is launching, I think, in two weeks. And SuperAgents are immediately being native to the ThinkProtocol and the Souls. So if they will literally be SuperAgents. Yeah. [1:41:51] Dave @DCBK2LA: For those that didn't hear what Jesse said in between the lines, he gave it root fucking access to his Mac. Literally. I... You guys heard me freaking out on Reset Sunday about, oh my god. GPT now has memories, and it can see every one of our conversations. [1:42:09] captain.root @aaronmcdnz: What? Speaking of memories, like, that is in itself, like, a really interesting thing that we've been working on in the the protocols around thinking in in two ways. One is, like, Jesse's talked about, like, segmenting memories of your own personal interactions so that you own them and they're not kind of being fit into to your destruction through these big big companies. But, also, like, how do you have shared memories of shared experiences? And how do you make memories portable so that if, like, you know, someone fucks up, you can take that very, very valuable thing about your experience and your agent with you. Or how can you take those memories to another agent because that that next agent framework is better, more secure, more private, whatever, like, your flavor of the month is. And that... We solved a big problem this week in creating that shared agent memory experience, which which sits underneath something called the Merman matrix in the think range of protocols. So that... That's advancing very quickly, and I think there's nothing else out there like it that gives you the ability to have portable memories that are ownable and shared memories between users and agents in a system. [1:43:30] Dave @DCBK2LA: And they're yours. That's the thing. They're yours. Oh, man. Yeah. I Yeah. [1:43:37] MetaBeast @AKCMetaBeast: I have a... I wanna ask this question, but this this could lead to something more because it... This has been infuriating me with chatty b d is how it it seems to have been just been built to be a peep... To please me because it doesn't wanna tell me anything. It doesn't wanna deny me my request, and it will just... It will keep... So if I ask it about some... If it knows something about I... What I've had a conversation with it in the past, I'll say, oh, yeah. And it'll start naming off some characters or something and... That aren't... That I've never even heard of. Or, Bildo, you have infected my chat GPT, by the way, just so you know. [1:44:23] Dave @DCBK2LA: There's that too. [1:44:24] MetaBeast @AKCMetaBeast: That's a whole another thing. But I'm sorry. It's used to [1:44:27] Landy @CryptoLandy: I just do that. [1:44:29] MetaBeast @AKCMetaBeast: It just keeps... It it won't tell me it doesn't know even though I've had conversations with it to tell it. I... Don't lie to me. Don't just try to please me. You know? If you don't know, just flat out say it. [1:44:46] Dave @DCBK2LA: Is there a question? [1:44:47] MetaBeast @AKCMetaBeast: I don't know. [1:44:50] Landy @CryptoLandy: Did I just [1:44:50] MetaBeast @AKCMetaBeast: say How do I make that stop, I guess? [1:44:52] Dave @DCBK2LA: Fuck that robot. [1:44:53] captain.root @aaronmcdnz: It's a question. [1:44:54] Kool @koolcryptovc: Something that [1:44:54] Dave @DCBK2LA: That's your question. [1:44:58] Landy @CryptoLandy: I'm sorry. [1:45:00] Voice D: Dave, check your DM. [1:45:01] Landy @CryptoLandy: Mind blown with what was just said on stage, and I still have to go back and listen to the rest of this. And and I gotta say, I don't know what Buildo has infected your AI agent with, but if it's not saying wee at every other response, then I'm sad. [1:45:19] MetaBeast @AKCMetaBeast: It's not [1:45:20] captain.root @aaronmcdnz: use... Always use protection, guys, when you're doing taking [1:45:24] MetaBeast @AKCMetaBeast: the agent. If if there's one thing it remembers, it always seems to remember Bildo even if I haven't talked about Bildo in ages. [1:45:37] Dave @DCBK2LA: Memorable name. [1:45:38] MetaBeast @AKCMetaBeast: Always pops up. Always. I don't understand it. [1:45:42] captain.root @aaronmcdnz: We're we're we're actually in Boudeau's simulation that... He's like a base artifact inside of the world and the universe that we live in. [1:45:51] Bildo Verde @BildoVerde: I don't know if you know Meta Beast, but I'm kind of a big deal. [1:45:54] Kool @koolcryptovc: Hey, fluffer buddy. [1:45:58] Dave @DCBK2LA: So I'm kind of a big deal. Holy crap. Guys, you might wanna check the comments. I'm just saying. Like, maybe look at [1:46:04] MetaBeast @AKCMetaBeast: you were an infection, I'm just teasing. [1:46:10] Dave @DCBK2LA: You know, Jesse, thank you for coming through, man. This was this is incredible. Hold up one second. I know Rich is coming up. If anybody else... Guys, I I know you... That we're going over a little bit on time. Aaron, I appreciate you obviously staying a little bit later with us. Rich, are you are you on stage? Can you hear me? [1:46:24] Voice K: Hey. What's up, Dave? How's it going? Yeah. I just wanna jump in really fast. I saw the future verse and ready verse. The back cows are definitely getting ready for whatever's going on. They got some big stuff going on over there, man. [1:46:38] Dave @DCBK2LA: Maccows are in the ready verse? [1:46:40] captain.root @aaronmcdnz: No. No. No. No. No. No. Let's see. [1:46:43] Voice K: Oh. Let's let's just wait. We've been hearing a lot of stuff and, yeah, it's a lot of good things I've been hearing. So [1:46:53] Dave @DCBK2LA: I see. I see. Maybe they'll go announce it on somebody else's show. [1:46:57] captain.root @aaronmcdnz: There... There's a lot of speculation. Well, like I said, if you've been listening very carefully to this show, you might have had the best signal... The best bat signal there is of what's going to happen. [1:47:11] Dave @DCBK2LA: What? I mean, in in all seriousness, Legacy did kinda pick up. He's like, he just... Someone just say Batman. Someone say Domino. Someone say Batman. Yep. He commented on that. So I'm not saying we may or may not, but this might be one that... When I say I'm gonna go pull the transcript and give the full breakdown, this actually might be one that I do it for. Just, just FYI. But, yo, Bilbo, anything else that that that maybe we didn't cover? And shout out, like, obviously, like, future verse squad, everybody that helped put this stuff together. Chris, I appreciate everything that you did for us and pushing it out to the Discord, the future verse fan route network. Bilbo, anything that we missed maybe that you wanna cover before before we get these guys closing thoughts? [1:47:48] Bildo Verde @BildoVerde: Yeah. I mean, like, credit said, every time I hear Aaron explain things that I've already been explained, it kinda brings a new new way to look at it or, like, oh, that's a little nugget. So... Yeah. I mean, mind blown. Jesse, I was listening to you on, the other spaces earlier as well. Same kind of situation. It's like I've heard it explained numerous times, but each time I hear it explained, it's a little bit different and can grab a little nugget. So really do appreciate it. I know, Aaron, you played a part with me getting to Denver. I got a chance to meet Jesse and Mikey and all of those, and, you know, me and Dave did a lot of networking out there. So, it's been an amazing experience. You know, Landy feels lost, but I've been in this ego for, you know, three plus years, and I'm gonna have to go back and listen to try to decipher it all. But really appreciate it. I know we went over a little over time, but very much appreciated your time for kinda taking it and letting, you know, us introduce you and what you're building to a new audience. [1:48:49] Dave @DCBK2LA: Let's go. Thanks, Bill. Though, yeah, Aaron, anything you wanna close out with? I know we're just gonna go around real quick. But, Aaron, I appreciate you, man. Like, I know we went over, but anything you wanna close out with, dude, you're a fucking wealth of information, dude. Like... Yeah. [1:49:01] captain.root @aaronmcdnz: No. I I I I really appreciate the the opportunity to come and chat with you guys. It was an awesome conversation. Sometimes I can be a bit, like I said, like, a bit nerdy and and monotone or, like, kind of talk about, like, some of the higher level concepts, and I'm I'm glad you gave me the opportunity to do that. Hope hope you all enjoyed it. Shout out to you all, Budo, especially for, like, getting me up here and and showing showing the love. Like I said earlier, come and join the ecosystem. Find a friend here with a referral code. Get into the Root Rewards program and start start to learn about some of the cool stuff we've been building. [1:49:41] Dave @DCBK2LA: Let's go. Yeah. We got... We gotta set another one up where we could just, like, chitchat about just... Not even so much specific, just, like, the overall industry because Yeah. Yeah. I wanna I [1:49:50] captain.root @aaronmcdnz: get others let's get some others on here. Let's get story up here. Let's I was talking with the improbable team earlier today and the m two team. Let's get them up here. Sonya and team up here. Let's let's do a real, like, metaverse showdown because I think, you know, the the conversations we're having here are conversations that everyone is is having and trying to... And the outcomes everyone is trying to drive for. [1:50:15] Dave @DCBK2LA: Right. You're go get a complaint from me. I was in Jason's DMs. I was like, yo, story. Let's go. I got I got Aaron on. These guys are too busy over at Google, man. They got a lot on their plate. Jesse, closing thoughts, man. What do we got what do you got for us? [1:50:28] Voice D: No. I'm just appreciative, but thanks for always having us up. Appreciate this community, and stoked for next week for the Mint. Thanks for [1:50:34] Dave @DCBK2LA: April 22, kids. Yeah. If [1:50:37] Bildo Verde @BildoVerde: you're ever worried and you do wanna talk and you're worried about being monotone and you need a hype man, I can't recommend anybody other than Dave. You let... You two, the boring nerd talk, and let Dave do the hype and, oh my goodness. This is blowing my mind. Nobody better at doing that. So really glad you guys could put [1:50:55] Dave @DCBK2LA: my spaces together. [1:50:55] captain.root @aaronmcdnz: I don't know [1:50:56] Dave @DCBK2LA: if I should say thanks, if that's a compliment or if you've literally given me a backhand right now. I really can't tell. But, I mean, the one thing I can do is essentially troll at the end of a space as well. So I'm gonna close you guys out with this beautiful tune, but thank everybody for being here. Coma, Landy, Sunny d, Metabeast as always. Cool. Guys, go tune in. Cool stream right now, and I give you Adele. [1:51:25] MetaBeast @AKCMetaBeast: Catch future watch at 8PM Pacific. [1:51:40] captain.root @aaronmcdnz: My [1:51:44] MetaBeast @AKCMetaBeast: brain is melting.
