What you find out very quickly is it does not work because everything that... You have a disconnect between the backing, the issuing, and the chain. So it's never been a good way to do it. So how do you generate yield? You generate yield through staking, and that is what they do not disallow. And this is what you're gonna see banks do, is they're gonna offer and partner with DeFi ecosystems for staking protocols. The bank will then offer you yield on holding those stable

So this was the problem that he was running into because then you either pay everyone that's holding the the stablecoin yield or you pay the person who minted it because they're the one giving you the the the collateral to mint the stable with. Right? So so the issuer here is the one that gathers the yields. You have to have... You're either gonna pay everybody or you're gonna pay nobody, you have the issuer take it. The other reason why they wanna do this on the issuer side is because they have to spin up the the overcollateralization to buffer. And if they don't, and especially on the banking side, they're... They they have to collect that yield as a buffer because if they don't hold the peg, they're fucked, and they're all gonna have to compete with each other. This... I I actually view this as a loss for the banks because what the banks wanted to stick into this bill just so everyone's clear. You can go back and look at what the... What amend... Amendments were proposed by the banking lobby and some of the guys and gals who are, like, hooked in with the banking lobby. They wanted this to be managed by the Fed directly as oversight. So this would have created a CBDC. And what they have now is each issuer and each bank is gonna have to create their own or use a competitor's. And, yes, I know they're all Fed members, and they technically all kick up to the same system, but this is where it really... You really have to understand how this is changing the world because what they're gonna have to do is they're gonna have to compete.
