The Oct 20 ATC Space opened on earnings week, with the panel going through SpaceX's Q3 numbers (about $14.58B revenue) and focusing on its roughly $19.6B in capex. The conversation moved to AI infrastructure: whether data centers misuse water (Moni and NatNat raised concerns, Ryan argued newer cooling barely relies on water) and CoreWeave's debt load, with Ryan calling the $62 area a key level and arguing rates may be topping so it can refinance. From about 21 minutes in, OpenSea's Zack Brenner joined to talk about the public launch of OpenSea mobile, its referral program and rewards, how user feedback shaped the product, and comparisons to Robinhood making trading easy. The closing Q&A covered ordinals, private wallets and profiles that hide holdings from wallet watchers, and customizable mint contracts. All of this is discussion, not financial advice.

[0:00:41] Voice unknown: what's up guys can you guys can you hear [0:00:50] Voice unknown: me now good what's [0:00:58] NatNat @Natnatx007: up oh man what are they pretty good pretty good I am having X issues I keep [0:01:07] Voice unknown: getting kicked out of spaces [0:01:08] NatNat @Natnatx007: but so we're running this one on [0:01:11] NatNat @Natnatx007: prayer hopefully this one is going to be good more than [0:01:14] Dave @DCBK2LA: X issues if I'm being honest with you but that's you know [0:01:17] Voice unknown: that's going to be good. [0:01:18] NatNat @Natnatx007: I mean you might not be wrong you know what I mean certain things [0:01:21] Dave @DCBK2LA: I gotta figure it out as I go I don't know many [0:01:24] Dave @DCBK2LA: people many Latinas and the less that eat cereal and of course it at 6 p.m. at nighttime while rocking their baby in a Bitcoin in a Bitcoin best in it you know I'm saying so it is what it is you get you get everything here guys you get it all that some earnings after the [0:01:40] Voice unknown: Bell SpaceX moonie yeah yeah [0:01:47] NatNat @Natnatx007: it's definitely earnings week and we kicked it off the right way I haven't been able to dive into the numbers yet but definitely eyes on capex right how much they're spending I think that's gonna be the narrative this earnings that we spoke about yesterday but let me pull up space X numbers but I think that's very interesting [0:02:03] Voice unknown: yeah everyone was talking about SpaceX on perps look at the perps on space look at perps SpaceX perps it's like okay everyone's just kind of losing their minds [0:02:14] Dave @DCBK2LA: it's washed trading up even higher space X up 155 and video up to 2 to 2 oh it was up to 2 22 now settling right under 221 it's looking and then and cues [0:02:27] Voice unknown: went crazy today [0:02:28] Dave @DCBK2LA: my dumbass was up at 4 o'clock 5 [0:02:31] Dave @DCBK2LA: o'clock in the morning watching DGT trade [0:02:34] Dave @DCBK2LA: and literally just like blow through 50 grand only to make 40 grand back but it's I don't know how these guys [0:02:39] NatNat @Natnatx007: I'm telling you that's why I asked them on the space houses anxiety I would not [0:02:45] Voice unknown: be thinking you're a man wild what do we got hey money what's up [0:02:56] Voice unknown: sorry I can unmute hello little things you know hustle hustle where's everybody [0:03:04] Dave @DCBK2LA: where's all this on everyone's too cool to like too cool for school [0:03:07] Voice unknown: they get they know how to reply to grock in the group chat but they don't know how to show up to ATC they're trying to trade with all the earnings coming up stop it Landy's are you kidding he's not treating so SpaceX numbers so [0:03:26] NatNat @Natnatx007: my son said yes let SpaceX [0:03:28] Voice unknown: reported revenue [0:03:31] NatNat @Natnatx007: of 14.58 billion in the third quarter 2026 about 9 billion more than the same period in [0:03:39] NatNat @Natnatx007: 2025 so that [0:03:41] NatNat @Natnatx007: crossed the expectation of 13 billion 13 billion was the expectation and they beat by [0:03:47] Voice unknown: 1.58 billion [0:03:49] NatNat @Natnatx007: the company also swung from a 1.05 billion net [0:03:55] Voice unknown: loss earlier this year [0:03:57] NatNat @Natnatx007: to a 4.4 billion profit in the third quarter [0:04:02] Dave @DCBK2LA: did you net money did you guys read the article about how far ahead SpaceX is in regards to like the like the like the space internet race like it's not even like satellites it's not even close how many like rockets they're throwing up there and satellites that they're putting out they said the next closest companies maybe eight or nine years out like that's the kind of cushion that they have [0:04:30] Wolf @WOLF_Crypto_X: all I know SpaceX higher [0:04:33] Voice unknown: higher higher higher [0:04:36] NatNat @Natnatx007: the concern here though is the capex right so capex total 19.59 billion in the third [0:04:44] Dave @DCBK2LA: quarter explain to us what capex actually is how much [0:04:46] NatNat @Natnatx007: they spend what they're spending capital expenditures [0:04:49] Dave @DCBK2LA: okay so they're spending way more [0:04:51] Dave @DCBK2LA: than they're making essentially for now [0:04:54] NatNat @Natnatx007: for now but it's all to bring in revenue right so it's all to position themselves because remember they're building things out they're building out the infrastructure the concern yeah so the concern is if they're able to spend if they're spending so much what would the revenue look like how long would it take for them to turn a revenue so that's what wall street is a little concerned with right now I'd send Ryan a speaker request because he broke it down beautifully earlier today on the space with wolf in terms of like capex and stuff to look for Ryan when you're available come up [0:05:28] Dave @DCBK2LA: yeah Ryan we haven't heard your voice in a minute I don't understand you're the first to show up co -host on the wolf terminal spaces we haven't heard your voice here in forever get up here man we miss your face well maybe not your voice maybe not your face either uh anyways if you have time come up here um yeah man don't sleep on your lawn in video obviously still cook when does nvidia report earnings uh not this week [0:05:51] Voice unknown: I don't think the report this week let me just double check [0:05:53] Dave @DCBK2LA: I mean but I mean they they just jump on everything you know I mean because like they probably they have a hand in in all of this right like oh spacex yeah We're selling them we're selling them uh GPUs oh uh these guys [0:06:07] Wolf @WOLF_Crypto_X: yeah we're selling them oh yeah we own them we bought them [0:06:10] Dave @DCBK2LA: like what is standing in nvidia's way from literally going to be like a 10 trillion dollar behemoths in the next like six months like I don't understand [0:06:19] NatNat @Natnatx007: yeah so I think they are because they're connected globally um all at the same time right especially they're from my understanding they're also building out infrastructure into space and robotics so they really do have a hand in all of it so the next earnings that I'm seeing right now for nvidia it's Wednesday November 25th 2026 so [0:06:37] Dave @DCBK2LA: bottom of the out yeah got it got it got all right I thought they all report say so and let me ask you this question [0:06:43] Dave @DCBK2LA: so I've been seeing a lot of this core weave story where people like oh the debt the ai debt the ai debt the [0:06:49] Voice unknown: ai debt right like are they really I mean [0:06:52] Dave @DCBK2LA: I saw like I mean the yield was like 15 percent which on wall street terms is kind of like you might as well be in junk bond status at that point but like what is the deal with ai debt like are they saying like oh now they see it as a potential problem like revenue is not catching up like is that is that the deal and specifically I don't know the core weave story but obviously that's obviously was weighing down a lot of indices yeah so [0:07:15] NatNat @Natnatx007: the debt is over 50 billion right they have over 50 billion in debt and obligations right and the total interest bearing on it is is 35.3 billion including the finance leases [0:07:28] NatNat @Natnatx007: and the cash on [0:07:31] NatNat @Natnatx007: the debt is way way way less right so I I think the the issue is the amount right and how long it's going to take them to turn a profit [0:07:39] Dave @DCBK2LA: so essentially people got a little too overzealous in buying and hyping this thing up initially uh they got a little too big for its [0:07:47] Voice unknown: britches yeah yep yep yep so [0:07:49] NatNat @Natnatx007: and and here's what's very interesting my q2 2026 net interest expense was 25 of revenue and the q3 projection of interest expense is projected to be almost at a billion something between 8 60 and 9 40 million so they ran into some issues for sure they need to start increase they need to start turning a profit they need to focus on the revenue if they want this to be a non -issue for them if they want if they do not want this to weigh them down but 50 billion in debt and obligations for core weave [0:08:22] Voice unknown: it's definitely a lot copy copy copy got it [0:08:29] Dave @DCBK2LA: um yeah guys we're waiting on zach's coming through obviously from open sea so monique and i had a [0:08:35] Dave @DCBK2LA: question she wants um and then [0:08:38] Dave @DCBK2LA: yeah uh hopefully our resident nft advisor will come up here as well with the golden hair what else is cooking ladies looks good yeah [0:08:46] NatNat @Natnatx007: so one more thing on the core even that we can move on the reason why right keep in mind they are uh building data centers and buying hardware and for revenue for leases and materials and everything that they need so they're very they're in a built out phase so with that comes heavy borrowing heavy dilution so definitely something to keep your eyes on because i think overall once these companies are ready to turn a profit you want to be [0:09:11] Voice unknown: positioned because i think long term [0:09:13] NatNat @Natnatx007: companies like core weave companies like fluence energy the they can produce a really nice long term [0:09:21] Voice unknown: rri but monie [0:09:23] Dave @DCBK2LA: monie tells me that data centers are and that they're gonna cause droughts and waste too much water [0:09:33] Moni @monitalan: no money go ahead Monica i'm not saying that i'm saying every day i'm saying that that's the pushback on data centers i do think there's [0:09:45] Moni @monitalan: obviously some noise issues i think the biggest issue with data centers is the fact that they they don't have reporting standards and so they're not transparent on information so they say well we use less water than a golf course but golf courses actually are super transparent on where they get the water [0:10:06] Moni @monitalan: more transparent and communicate it better, you wouldn't have as many issues as you. But this has been bubbling up, I mean, for a while. I think I've mentioned the story in Time magazine from February, where MAGA and liberals are coming together around the opposition of data centers, but I think it's that vacuum of information that's unfortunately [0:10:27] Moni @monitalan: impacting how people look at data centers. But, you know, I'm not [0:10:33] Moni @monitalan: opposed to them. I just think that they need to improve how they report. And what the standards [0:10:38] Voice unknown: for reporting are, right? [0:10:41] NatNat @Natnatx007: Yeah, you're not wrong. And I also think the other issue is from what I read, the issue with [0:10:48] NatNat @Natnatx007: MAGA's particular data center [0:10:51] NatNat @Natnatx007: is that it's dirtying the water - so not only do they use a lot of water, but a lot of the materials, or from my understanding, some of the chemicals are sweeping into the water. So that's causing a lot of issues and a lot of concerns as well. But I believe the way they're building these data centers going forward is completely different to the way that MAGA build their data center. So the dirtying of the water would not be an issue. However, the consumption of the water until they figure out what to use in replacement, I do agree that that's a portion that can be slightly [0:11:26] Voice unknown: concerning for sure. [0:11:32] Dave @DCBK2LA: Sorry, I was just having Grok fire everyone in the chat. My bad. Having Grok in the chat is kind of cool, kind of annoying, but he's super intuitive. It's really good. Like he knows how to respond. You don't have to tag him on everything. Like he knows which conversation is what. [0:11:51] Dave @DCBK2LA: I thought it was actually pretty cool. Damn, even Monica dropped. [0:11:54] Dave @DCBK2LA: Monica, I didn't mean to fire you. [0:11:58] Voice unknown: I know, [0:12:00] NatNat @Natnatx007: I think everyone's having issues with X. We all keep dropping. I don't think, I think Grok is not liking what we're seeing. So he's kicking us out of these. Maybe, [0:12:09] Dave @DCBK2LA: maybe ever since he came in. Hey, look who came up today, sweetheart. What's up, buddy? Hey man, how are you? Thank you for [0:12:16] Ryan @Rlad1776: having me up. Appreciate it. Hey, Nat. Why so serious? Yeah, so data centers, like [0:12:23] Voice unknown: I'll [0:12:26] Ryan @Rlad1776: give you, and I will be quick because I know you guys make fun of me for it. But here's the deal. The alternative methods that they're using to cool the servers is not about water anymore. I mean, that is, I'm not trying to shade, but like it's so 1990s. Like water is a very small portion of how they're cooling data centers today. And I'm not gonna use the D word, Dave, because I don't wanna anger you. But you know, there are so many different alternatives of methods that are being used right now. And water was kind of the early way, but it's just not a thing anymore. It's just a narrative. And Nat, I love what you said about CoreWeave. I do worry a little bit about their debt, but here's the thing, right? If it plays out the way I think it might, where rates start to come down and they're able to refinance all that, ahm, you know, they're gonna get a big win and I think that's what we're gonna see. In my opinion, I think rates are kind of topping here. And at some point they'll be able to refinance a lot of it. Right now it's horrible. It looks horrible. I mean, it's jumped on status almost. Maybe it is, I don't know. But I think they're gonna be able to refinance. I think they're gonna be just fine. And, you know, Jesus Christ himself, Jensen, came out and said, like, we got CoreWeave. So if you [0:14:04] Voice unknown: don't take that to the bank, I don't know what you're doing, but. [0:14:10] NatNat @Natnatx007: That's right, cause they are tied to Nvidia. [0:14:13] Voice unknown: Yeah, 100. [0:14:16] Ryan @Rlad1776: So, you know, it dipped down thanks to Darth Vader herself, Miss Woods, under that 62 support this morning at 58. And I did take that opportunity to buy some [0:14:35] Voice unknown: at right around 58. [0:14:38] Ryan @Rlad1776: And I think after hours it's up almost 67. So 62 area is a big area for CoreWeave. It's bounced on that four times now. Today it actually broke through. So they kicked down the door, but CoreWeave basically closed the door back on them. And now I think it's heading back up. So, and one other thing I wanna say, Nat, is I think your point about the [0:15:06] Voice unknown: revenue or profitability, [0:15:08] Ryan @Rlad1776: I do agree with you, but I don't think that we should expect profitability anytime in the short run. I agree. For these data centers. I agree. But what we need to see is revenue growth. Yeah. Right? So even if they're still operating at a [0:15:28] NatNat @Natnatx007: loss, But the money is growing. Yeah. Yeah. 100%. I'm 100% agree. [0:15:34] NatNat @Natnatx007: However, I do think, you remember the conversation we were having with Nike, like with Nike under Armalulu, the first one to complete a successful turnaround, it's gonna be the big winner. I do think [0:15:46] Voice unknown: with all these data centers, the first one to generate a decent amount of revenue is gonna be a big winner. Yes. So it's just a matter of, [0:15:56] Ryan @Rlad1776: so if their expectations are for, I don't know, a dollar, let's say losing $1.32 per [0:16:02] Voice unknown: share, right? Next quarter. [0:16:05] Ryan @Rlad1776: And I'm just making numbers up here, but if they come in at [0:16:08] Ryan @Rlad1776: like a dollar or 80, [0:16:11] Ryan @Rlad1776: a loss of 80 cents per share, and they do that multiple quarters in a row, like that's what you need to do, understand from a fundamental standpoint, they're moving in the right direction, right? And they're accelerating their path to profitability. [0:16:28] Voice unknown: 100% agree, Ryan. Yeah. So, [0:16:31] Ryan @Rlad1776: I mean, we have to, like, I've been in startups and it sucks, like every time you have to talk to your investors and whatnot and say, hey, we lost money this quarter. But like, I don't know, how do you put ketchup on a shit sandwich and make it taste good? I'm not sure, but, you know, you basically can say, hey, we lost money this quarter, but we lost less than last quarter. So we're moving in the [0:16:58] Ryan @Rlad1776: right direction. That's always the way it's been, hasn't it, Ryan? [0:17:03] Dave @DCBK2LA: What's that? Yeah, isn't that the way it's always been in the VC world on Wall Street? It's like, hey, we know that you're gonna be operating at a loss, just operate at less of a loss every quarter. And it's like, okay, cool. Eventually, like, you see the business [0:17:15] Ryan @Rlad1776: model come through, so. Yeah, it just [0:17:18] Ryan @Rlad1776: tells everybody you're moving in the right direction. And at some point, you're gonna be thrown off free cashflow and that's where everybody wants to be. So it means you're profitable, your strategies are working. I mean, EPS is ultimately the great arbiter of [0:17:37] Voice unknown: success or failure, in my opinion. Agreed, [0:17:42] Dave @DCBK2LA: agreed. How does CoreWeave actually make money essentially if they're building infrastructure, like it's not gonna be for a minute then that they're gonna see, I mean, profit, like you said, right, not profitability, [0:17:59] Voice unknown: If I'm them right [0:18:00] Ryan @Rlad1776: now, [0:18:11] Voice unknown: it's all about the growth plan, to go to market, [0:18:16] Ryan @Rlad1776: right? They should be hiring salespeople, they should be marketing, like the CapEx needs to flip from construction to contracts. [0:18:27] Voice unknown: That's the best way I can say it. [0:18:29] Ryan @Rlad1776: And so they should be hiring a huge sales force and just going out and pumping, knocking on every door, like have people like me who run large sales organizations, being like, no, your quota is not that, it is that plus 50% and you better do it because I hire slow and I fire fast, so [0:18:55] Voice unknown: you can get to getting. [0:18:57] NatNat @Natnatx007: Yeah, so remember, they remember, keep in mind before they transitioned to data centers, they were a crypto [0:19:02] Voice unknown: mining company. [0:19:06] Voice unknown: Oh, right, [0:19:08] Dave @DCBK2LA: right, right. I forgot, but they were one of the most touted, I mean, I remember the IP, it was like, oh my God, oversubscribed by a freaking million percent. Anyways, good stuff, good stuff. I think it's good to kind of get a handle. Ryan, last question. And then I'm gonna say what's up to Zach and everybody else. You think, I think market goes back now, as long as we continue to see maybe positive numbers like this, I think we go back to test the highs on the NASDAQ. No, maybe [0:19:36] Ryan @Rlad1776: by the end of the week, what do you think? That's my expectation. [0:19:41] Ryan @Rlad1776: I'm watching the nine simple or the eight simple moving average, or you can use the EMA if you want. We've kind of tested that a couple of times. Below that, you got to 21. As long as we hold the 21 we're heading back up Probably just 785 on the spy and The queues will continue to rip. I mean [0:20:06] NatNat @Natnatx007: If if all of these companies that have earnings this week if none of them, you know surprised to the downside I can definitely right because they they do need to to beat in order for [0:20:18] Voice unknown: This move to carry on [0:20:20] Ryan @Rlad1776: Yeah, I think everybody expected netflix to kind of poop the bed Um which they did I mean they beat on revenue, but they miss on guidance [0:20:30] Dave @DCBK2LA: Uh, and did the merger happen by the way? Did that merger take [0:20:33] Dave @DCBK2LA: the the paramount netflix deal happen? No, that [0:20:35] Ryan @Rlad1776: was the paramount and uh, yeah [0:20:39] Moni @monitalan: Warner bro. Yes. Yeah. Oh right right right right right. That's separate remember Netflix was outbid Right, right, right. That's what yeah, so netflix miss but [0:20:49] Ryan @Rlad1776: you know, like, you know, I surge, uh Uh [0:20:52] Ryan @Rlad1776: crushed it. Um [0:20:56] Ryan @Rlad1776: There were a few others that came out with oh, I mean space x absolutely just just crush their numbers But you know when when when you're a new, uh, ipo That's the expectation. I I do think that the 830 revenue growth [0:21:12] Voice unknown: Exceeded everybody's expectations [0:21:14] Ryan @Rlad1776: And don't sleep on their uh What's the thing that they use for their phones? [0:21:22] Voice unknown: Um starlink like yeah, bro. They're absolutely crushing it there And they're like they're years [0:21:28] Dave @DCBK2LA: ahead of everybody else ryan. Good stuff. Thank you. Thank you Good shit gamer. Give me one second. I want to say what's up to zach's Uh, he came through obviously I want to be respectful of his time and then we'll say what's up zach. What's up, man? How are you? [0:21:39] Voice unknown: Yo, uh, can you guys hear me? Yeah, we hear you good brother. What's good? [0:21:44] Zack Brenner @zjbrenner: All right, sweet. I haven't been on his face forever, man Uh, honestly the last time I hopped on his face could have been with could have been with you not too not too long ago Um, but today today's an exciting day. Uh, today's today's a really exciting day. Um, I feel that i've been listening to this space Non -stop and haven't seen what's going on. Um on kryphil twitter. Uh, we we did actually uh, finally um, I mean honestly finally, um Release open sea mobile, uh to the public. Uh, we we've been in beta for for a very long time. Um A big part of that is because uh, we wanted to make sure that like we made it delightful up. Um, and so we've worked with Hundreds which then grew into thousands which then grew into ten thousands tens of thousands of people. Um in our beta that Uh contributed so much feedback identified bugs Honestly kept our product team working hard man, uh, because there was there's a lot there's a lot to find. Um, but ultimately Um, we were able to get this out today and we're really excited about the app. Um We think that this could be the app that welcomes the next group of people to krypto Um, and we also think it's one that's going to be delightful for the people that are here [0:22:58] Voice unknown: today [0:22:59] Dave @DCBK2LA: Let's go. I love it, man. Congrats. First and foremost. [0:23:02] Voice unknown: Hold on natalie says the clap is for everybody There we go Let's go [0:23:08] Dave @DCBK2LA: Congrats, ac. I mean so now are you saying no more? Uh special code needed it is officially in app store Apple android for everybody to download [0:23:18] Zack Brenner @zjbrenner: Yeah, so no more invite code needed so anybody can use the app however Everybody has a new invite code now. Um Which will be open sees first referral program Uh that to my knowledge and i i've been using open c since 2021 I've only been on the team for a little bit over a year But like i've been in avid open c user since since early 2021 And so like to to my knowledge, this is our first referral program. [0:23:46] Voice unknown: Um, and so for our beta testers, uh For [0:23:51] Zack Brenner @zjbrenner: our beta testers over the past I wanted to that we launched this in I wanted to we launched the invite program back in june but people have had invites and essentially The only thing that people were getting out of the invites was The ability to invite people there. There was no rewards. There was no referral mechanisms None of that all it was was letting your friends On peers and though Get access to the open c mobile and be be a part of the beta um and those will now Turn into referrals. Uh, so everybody that people had invited over the past Uh, what is it four months? Um, that has been recorded. So those are all going to be Your referrals, um, and then you can get referrals going forward too. And so I'm a very like I I always say that i'm pretty deep in the trenches Um for those of you that follow an open c On those for those of you that follow me on open c mobile you know that I trade pretty frequently Um, so i've been excited to be able to work on this product Um, and like i'm especially excited because the way that we distributed this, uh, we had started it with just our 500 Uh initial beta testers we gave them the first set of invites and then over the next like four months Uh that gradually grew out But like 80 of people that have used the app came in through invites Um, so there's been a ton of people that have been invited. Uh so far It's been our number one mechanism that we've used to uh get people in the app, uh But we think it's going to continue to be the number [0:25:33] Voice unknown: one people the way that people uh join them up finish Finish the sentence for me bro. I'm waiting to hear and then the referrals are Points for open c token. Finally, come on. Give us something [0:25:47] Zack Brenner @zjbrenner: All right, that is something I can't give you [0:25:50] Voice unknown: Uh, ha ha damn she's got a shoot though, you know She just got to shoot [0:25:55] Zack Brenner @zjbrenner: So what will make me uh by law actually have to get off the stage here um, so It's just it's I work for open c. I don't work for the open c foundation And so there's just not much that I can really uh talk about there Um, got [0:26:10] Dave @DCBK2LA: you got you got you got you i'm just i'm just messing. You're good. You're good. [0:26:13] Voice unknown: You're good I know I know But [0:26:16] Zack Brenner @zjbrenner: but but with the referral program you do get 25 Of the of the trading fees from everybody that you've invited So like there are there are rewards now for them for the first time with like a referral invite program at open c like there are Um, not even points like, you know direct direct monetary, uh, like direct incentives and One of the ways that we structured this that I find really unique and really exciting like I built this kind of for myself Like I I found that this mechanism was was really cool Is we we have millions of people that have signed up for open c that use open c right like open c.io like one of the Most used products in in all of crypto Uh, but open c mobile has been a data And so like the amount of people that we have on mobile Is a very very small fraction of the amount of people that use open c in general And where your referrals count, uh two different things two two different things that can relate to that Uh, the first is like if you invite somebody to open c mobile even if they use open c Um, if you invite them to open c mobile it counts as an invite Uh, so it doesn't matter if they already have an open c profile Like if you bring them to open c mobile that counts as an invite and where why that matters [0:27:31] Voice unknown: is When you invite someone [0:27:35] Zack Brenner @zjbrenner: You're also going to get credit for their trades on both the web as well as open c mobile So it's not just what's going on on the On the mobile app. Um, it also accounts for what you've been doing on web and like A lot of people use the open c web Uh, that's that's just been such an established product in crypto for a long time And it's a very it's a brand new rewards program and everybody is eligible uh, which is I find a really unique and exciting opportunity Um that that you that you won't really really be able to find in crypto like it's typically new products Um, and so yeah, that's kind of my spiel. I love it, dude Like it's uh, it's a it's a cool [0:28:14] Voice unknown: opportunity [0:28:15] Dave @DCBK2LA: You know, I do I love it Listen at the end of the day like give me real rewards usdc rewards you at whatever Like stable rewards over promise of token any day of the week. That's amazing I thank god you said that because then I just went in because when I retweeted the space I didn't put the link there. So I went to go invite my friends and then I copied it So guys it's up at the top if you don't have the open c mobile link, uh, get it through me uh, or natalie or monica or Ah toast doesn't really need it. Um, no, but this is really really cool. Um gamer I don't know if you have a question for zach. I know monie does so I don't want to be rude But i'm gonna go monie and then i'm gonna come to you [0:28:53] Moni @monitalan: gamer. Okay, monie go ahead Hey zach. Thanks for for joining question. You guys have this in beta for a long time You guys took a lot of feedback made a lot of changes Anything you want to highlight of like cool things [0:29:06] Moni @monitalan: you can see -or do on the app based on everything? And what were some of the learnings right from that? Uh [0:29:12] Voice unknown: beta beta testing. [0:29:14] Zack Brenner @zjbrenner: Yeah, so Moni for for this y'all don't know [0:29:17] Voice unknown: or um, actually just do as monica [0:29:20] Zack Brenner @zjbrenner: I I had encountered by that night before uh, but monica was actually I think one of our first beta testers I I want to say that I onboarded uh monica to open c mobile back in january which which is So so so so long ago and like if you show if you saw a screen from January to now It's like a light and gay different and uh, it's a it's a night and day difference like it's a night and day difference like it's It's it's crazy how different it is. Um, and that's because We have spent our time just pivoting adjusting based on what it is that that people are looking for And this has helped us harden the app. Just like so so much like, um With, I believe over at OpenSea, we are very advanced, our engineering team and the tools that we have access to. I think we're at that top percentile. We've invested significantly in being able to ship fast. Sometimes when you're shipping fast, you need to be able to harden the products while you're doing that. And being able to have so many people tell us [0:30:32] Voice unknown: what sucked, what was cool. [0:30:36] Zack Brenner @zjbrenner: Areas to double down, but what sucked, what was confusing, what was bad, ended up proving an invaluable experience. And it made it like, honestly, it was so hard for us to launch because we just kept getting so much feedback. It's like, you can do this better, you can do this better. And the entire team was just, was always striving to be able to address each piece of that feedback that we got. We would not be anywhere near where we are if it wasn't for that help and feedback. It's like, I think that anybody, not only in crypto, but if you are a product builder in general, taking the approach of, if you're building something for a group of people, do it with them. Do the things that they are actually looking for and you're gonna end up making a [0:31:25] Voice unknown: better product. Yeah, [0:31:28] Dave @DCBK2LA: Zach, no bullshit. You turned me into a user, right? I mean, Moni signed us all up. I mean, for the mobile stuff, just FYI, she was definitely [0:31:34] Voice unknown: one of the first ones. Did she get any referrals? Oh my God, she's gonna be taking money. I don't think I got the, no, I don't think I got the referrals because we use the code you gave us, Zach Zach, but that's okay. Oh, I'm kidding. [0:31:45] Zack Brenner @zjbrenner: Maybe I got a chance to referral then. Dude, but I'm telling [0:31:48] Dave @DCBK2LA: you, I'm not kidding. Just the overall experience, right? For those that were here in 2021, it was just NFTs, limited chains, cool. When are you gonna add this? You guys genuinely turned it into, for me, I'm not trading on my phone a lot. I know a lot of people are, but at the end of the day, whether it's phone or not, the experience itself was real. It was night and day, dude, and I'm genuinely not blowing smoke. I'm not trying to be, suck up, but it really was great to the point where some of the teams that I was working go to market for, they were just like, dude, why the fuck are you using OpenSea? You should be using our product. And I'm like, okay, I get it, I get it. But it's just, it was easier on the, [0:32:57] Zack Brenner @zjbrenner: I don't [0:33:33] Zack Brenner @zjbrenner: know, [0:33:58] Zack Brenner @zjbrenner: probably like five, six years now. And so everybody that does open the app every day, [0:36:02] Zack Brenner @zjbrenner: We know that we are the luckiest people, we're so rortunate that people are choosing open I want to make sure that you don't need to leave your home if you don't want So being able to leverage other websites and like other apps in their platforms whatever it. It is like that's something you want to do [0:36:22] Voice unknown: in. [0:36:33] Voice unknown: R. What [0:36:33] Zack Brenner @zjbrenner: r [0:37:21] Voice unknown: That's why I was asking you know since you're since you're coming out of beta right you're on the next phase You know if you can put that at least on the board on the chalkboard to talk about And the main reason is staking right Anytime I need to you know I have my assets [0:37:40] AlphaGamer @AlphaGamer_sats: Especially on Robin Hood right where that's the whole Robin Hood meta was staking your NFTs Can't do that with an open -c wallet so essentially like you said I have to [0:37:51] Voice unknown: leave the platform completely [0:37:54] AlphaGamer @AlphaGamer_sats: Transfer over to my Rabi wallet which does connect to all the staking sites [0:37:59] Voice unknown: And then essentially I'm draining all my assets [0:38:02] AlphaGamer @AlphaGamer_sats: out of your open -c wallet and going to Rabi Which has the function of letting me stake my [0:38:07] Voice unknown: NFTs right? But gamer there's like a sense of [0:38:10] Dave @DCBK2LA: like yeah like I remember when we were the minting frenzy was going We were just like is it minting on open -c or is it minting on their site? We were like on their site like ah we're not minting. [0:38:19] Voice unknown: There's a sense of like no no no No, I'm [0:38:22] Dave @DCBK2LA: minting. No no no I know that but you're Sane connect to another site right so I Get what I get what Zach is saying also where it's just like we get it We want to be able to provide kind of that feasibility And I think you say exactly saying maybe on the roadmap in the [0:38:36] Voice unknown: future [0:38:38] Zack Brenner @zjbrenner: Maybe maybe but like but yeah like it's something that we're aware of and we prioritize based on What people need what the needs are what people are asking for? And you're not you're not the first person to ask for it, and so it's definitely it's We've been like hyper focused on hardening the app over the past few months to get it in this position So then we can now open up the door to invite more people Into into open -c mobile and make it a home for more people And that now that we've done that that's like for us internally like it's a team major accomplishment like we have been Like shout out to the team working your butts off for a very long time to get to this state And now we get to celebrate the lunch Have fun in the community for the next few days And then regroup and make our prioritization on what we want to do to bring it to the next [0:39:35] Zack Brenner @zjbrenner: level over the next quarter Let's go. I like it man. I [0:39:38] Dave @DCBK2LA: like it I got questions in the comments do but I want to go to I want to go to Scrooge But you know you know there's gonna be a question of when ordinals bro So just prepare yourself because we got Bitcoin maxis out here for sure The screws [0:39:50] Voice unknown: go ahead man Yeah, thanks David. [0:39:53] scrooge mcduck @uglyduckscrooge: What's up Alpha? Yeah, nice to meet you Zach. Yeah one. This is a good question Yes, I got the app. We was able to get it at the open sea event at NFT NYC from One of them from Pudgy penguins they had a booth there so they gave us the code and we was able to skip the line I got the open sea app and So that's really dope. But alright, so we have trouble like onboarding people Have this with my family, you know trying to show them how to mint and everything and I'm like this the main thing about this open sea app That excites me is will I be able to tell somebody you know for my NFTs? I'll be able to tell somebody hey download the open sea at You got a wallet click this one two three click and you can mint Like is that gonna be a thing because we'll be able to onboard so many people because that's what we lose people at is All of the everything that they gotta do. I lose so many people my family still hasn't minted my NFT yet But if they download this open sea app I hope they got the wallet and they go one two mint right here Just a three maybe four clicks and mint right there They come mint like that would be amazing and that's what I always think about with the open sea I'm like, I think they're gonna do this and if they do this, oh, man I could get you know, I can have so many more people like minting my NFT, [0:41:15] Voice unknown: right? No more seed phrases Scrooge bridge Cut you off the long answer is no No, because you they would have to connect to your site Scrooge [0:41:32] Dave @DCBK2LA: Hold on Zach go ahead. He's asking open see if [0:41:34] Voice unknown: they can do it Yeah, um [0:41:39] Zack Brenner @zjbrenner: It is such a tough challenge Kind of like now getting this because you're the exact thing that like the way that you described that Got me jazz stuff like that was though That was so exciting because I I agree with you Mobile is the way to onboard the next group of people it is what makes complex problems easier like our CTO over at open sea In Chris matter and like he was he launched Venmo He was the head of mobile and engineering over at Benmo during their launch. How I've been loaded was they made Payments accessible and they and they did that through a very simple and easy to use mobile His old co -founder of my in my prior company rally or you all might remember the floor app like initially [0:42:27] Zack Brenner @zjbrenner: she was the Head of could go [0:42:29] Zack Brenner @zjbrenner: over at Robin Hood and what Robin Hood did was they made Stock trading easy and simple and accessible through a delightful mobile app We think that NFTs can become simpler more accessible more fun to a broader broader set of people Through what they're familiar with which is mobile apps They spend many ten ten plus hours a day on their phones We built out a really really Great experience actually to be able to trade NFTs on the app It's currently live on Android on iOS it's something that is not allowed in the app store It's currently against the ups for policies. And so it's unfortunate. It's just not something that we can do until that changes We recognize the importance and like we've built out the delightful experience and so we want to bring that to more and more people We'll continue fighting the good fight. But as of right now it is not It's against current app store guidelines [0:43:37] Voice unknown: Yeah [0:43:39] scrooge mcduck @uglyduckscrooge: And I see what you're saying to alpha But that's what that would be so amazing and I always think like that's what it's gonna do and if we could do that It's over we could get so many people in here. The interoperability is what we all have a problem with right? No, but yeah Shout -out to you guys. I'm loving that app. Yeah. Thanks David. Yeah, you got it, [0:43:56] Dave @DCBK2LA: man And listen that you could do it on desktop, you know saying connect with [0:43:59] Dave @DCBK2LA: your Google account or whatever, you know privy and all [0:44:02] Dave @DCBK2LA: that fun stuff So, you know, it's not all hope is not [0:44:05] Voice unknown: lost my bro Right. All hope is not lost. There's still a little [0:44:12] Dave @DCBK2LA: Yeah, good stuff good stuff yeah gamer go ahead man, thank [0:44:15] Voice unknown: you [0:44:18] AlphaGamer @AlphaGamer_sats: The thing that actually why when it wasn't even that [0:44:21] Voice unknown: it was actually the data center thing [0:44:24] AlphaGamer @AlphaGamer_sats: There's a lot of fake news going around about that and if you don't know [0:44:31] AlphaGamer @AlphaGamer_sats: Don't trust the media. Come on. You haven't learned your [0:44:34] Voice unknown: lesson or any [0:44:36] AlphaGamer @AlphaGamer_sats: Cooling towers, okay [0:44:37] Voice unknown: So the news are [0:44:40] AlphaGamer @AlphaGamer_sats: spreading this information like data centers are polluting the environment. It's all bullshit We already have existing infrastructure in place right now in your city that you live in right now Call a [0:44:55] Voice unknown: water plant gamer water plant game. [0:44:57] Dave @DCBK2LA: We're gonna hold on one second real plants gamer gamer gamer Hold on one sec. I want to come back to this because I know Zach being that it's the launch Today is essentially the launch. So I want to be respectful his time I think other people might have a couple more open sea questions and I promise you [0:45:11] Dave @DCBK2LA: we'll bring back. Oh, go ahead. Go ahead Yeah, thank you. Thank you. Thank you. Thank [0:45:14] Dave @DCBK2LA: you All right, Zach when ordinals and then I know DocNooNoo had a question and I'm sure there's gonna be others but uh when ordinals [0:45:24] Zack Brenner @zjbrenner: and I We just launched open sea mobile [0:45:27] Zack Brenner @zjbrenner: today and we're getting when when when [0:45:31] Voice unknown: I [0:45:36] Voice unknown: Mean [0:45:39] Ryan @Rlad1776: If you're getting one when when after you just launched As somebody's been through a number of startups, you a right. It sucks, but you're doing it, right like [0:45:50] Voice unknown: well done [0:45:52] Wolf @WOLF_Crypto_X: Is there even is it even in a is it even a conversation [0:45:55] Dave @DCBK2LA: that has happened between You and Devin and maybe some of the other CTO the CTO. Is it even a combo that has happened? [0:46:03] Zack Brenner @zjbrenner: So so like going back to what we were originally talking about in this conversation Everything that we are building right now is what the community is asked for We very we very much Took our learnings took our bet About a year ago when we did launch the beta program for for open sea mobile we said that we want to go with the community and like honestly honestly one of the things that I have learned in my year at open sea is Just how much everybody on the team really cares about the community Like I will sometimes see feature requests that like I was like, why are you even thinking about this? And they're like well somebody somebody asked for it here. Um, it's like it's honestly so inspirational It does really it does genuinely drive all of our product decisions everything that we're doing And so if you want ordinals, which I know many I know that many of you do Please continue just letting. Uh, letting us know being loud about that Sharing sharing your love for open sea sharing why like ordinals will make your experience with open sea a better experience And that very much directly informs our product roadmap So that would be my recommendation But but just to like let you know, uh, we have we do see you we do we do see you And we know that there's a lot of people very excited about ordinals in the [0:47:31] Voice unknown: community [0:47:32] Dave @DCBK2LA: Guys make yourself more visible. He said [0:47:35] Dave @DCBK2LA: he does see you maybe make yourself more seen and get louder [0:47:41] Dave @DCBK2LA: That's how it works. All right, Zach. All right, I think that I think that'll appease the max now Monica. Yeah Money go ahead dude. I'm looking at open sea right now is everything fucking green or what like Zach what is the deal? Every single thing I'm looking at invisible friends up 177 percent good vibes 34 percent credits up 41 percent shout out to the credits Crew, I'm sure money is gonna chew your head up on that one [0:48:02] Wolf @WOLF_Crypto_X: credits King frogs 3d for up 300 foot dude There's not a red fucking this is crazy What [0:48:08] Dave @DCBK2LA: is going on today's NFT day, this is wild [0:48:11] Wolf @WOLF_Crypto_X: Money go ahead and then we'll go to DocNooNoo do you [0:48:14] Moni @monitalan: want to go to DocNooNoo first she was I think she had her hand up [0:48:17] Voice unknown: for it. I can go [0:48:19] Dave @DCBK2LA: No, no has no no has like crazy. Yeah, she's got great questions NFT question Um, [0:48:25] DocNooNoo @doc_noonoo: did you say I have one question cuz I have loads of questions and I could be here for days. [0:48:30] Dave @DCBK2LA: Yes Yeah, shoot. We're gonna we're gonna make sure we're gonna make Zach [0:48:33] DocNooNoo @doc_noonoo: tell us that he has to try like limit them to my top five [0:48:44] Voice unknown: Yeah [0:48:47] Voice unknown: Okay [0:48:51] DocNooNoo @doc_noonoo: Start with so I'm having me and a couple of people I know I have it's minting from the app I don't know if that's like an everyone thing or is it just us? But whenever we try to mint from the app, it just fails for some reason. Do you know anything about that? [0:49:06] Zack Brenner @zjbrenner: Are you on, you know, I was like it like you are you have the ability to mention its feeling [0:49:11] DocNooNoo @doc_noonoo: Yeah, so I'd click mint It would say that I'm eligible and then when I try to mint it just says Failed or it would yeah, it doesn't even pop up like the transaction [0:49:20] Voice unknown: doesn't even pop up [0:49:22] Zack Brenner @zjbrenner: That's not good. So can you just send me over like just send a DM right now saying [0:49:28] Zack Brenner @zjbrenner: hey I the person that flaunts [0:49:31] Zack Brenner @zjbrenner: that I had a bug with my mince on the space My wallet address thing with is whatever it is I'll send that over to the team so we can look at that immediately for you. [0:49:42] DocNooNoo @doc_noonoo: Okay. The other one was, [0:49:47] DocNooNoo @doc_noonoo: so there's a couple of things that are probably not in your remit, but I'll ask them anyway because you might know. But the first one was about sort of toggling between profiles because I know you can link multiple wallets to one profile, but we all hate wallet watches. And I had to, like, it took me hours to try and disconnect my wallets and make a new profile with it, etc. But yeah, just toggling between profiles, is that going to be an option so we don't have to sign out and sign back in? [0:50:13] Zack Brenner @zjbrenner: So what I'm going to do is tell you a different approach. And I hope that it doesn't sound like I'm trying to sell you on a solution that you don't want. And if that's the case, like, let me know. But like, based on my takeaway from what you're what you're asking for, as you want to have privacy, you want some things to be public, you want some things to be private, you probably essentially have a public profile and a private profile. We've built the oven, we've built OpenSea profiles in general. And what I think is a very unique and powerful way, and that's that you can make different wallets on that profile public, and you can get different ones private, and you can change those up. And so a lot of our users, a lot of people that use OpenSea do have some public wallets in their profile. They do have a couple of private ones, the ones that might be a little bit more DGen, whatever it is. But you can choose which ones, you can change that immediately. And like, when you do make it private, we care so much about user privacy, that there's some features that we've made. We've made it to where if you have something as private, like it's private everywhere. So holdings won't show up on your profile, it won't show up in activity, different things like that. But even if you try to make a PFP that you have in one of your wallets that's smart as private, if you try to make one of your NFTs a PFP, we actually won't verify that NFT, you won't get the hexagon, because it would doxx the wallet. And if you have it set as a private wallet, you do not want that wallet doxxed. And so we don't want to let you accidentally doxx that wallet. So all I have to say is, it doesn't sound like that's the solution that you're thinking about, but does that sound like a solution that absolves the problems that you're seeing? [0:52:09] DocNooNoo @doc_noonoo: Yeah, not exactly. So I've already set all my wallets to private. You have to have one that's public, obviously. But what happened was the people who were watching the one that was public essentially when she got inherited, like I made a new profile with a new wallet, but it kind of I don't know how I inherited those same followers. But my actual question, like that's quite complex. We can say that for another day. I'm sure you'll be back. But my actual question was just like being able to easily toggle between two different profiles without having to sign out if [0:52:41] Voice unknown: we want multiple profiles. Yeah. So first, [0:52:47] Zack Brenner @zjbrenner: on the having followers for the account, they won't see your transactions [0:53:18] Zack Brenner @zjbrenner: if it's a private wallet. So even if they was going to be the right approach. But if there are needs that are not covered by that, like when you do send me over the feedback on the minting bug, send me over this feedback, too. So I can share with the team and see if there's a different solution, such as multiple profiles that we can investigate. [0:53:38] DocNooNoo @doc_noonoo: Lovely. Thank you. I'm not a criminal. I don't have anything to hide. I just have annoying wallet watchers asking me why I'm buying stuff, why I'm selling stuff. So no criminal activity here. So the other questions, which were probably a little bit out of your remit because they're just general, maybe engineering questions, I guess. Do you plan to introduce customizable contracts? Because obviously it's quite rigid in terms of just having a straightforward mint right now. And I know people doing loads of weird and wonderful things with their mints. Do you plan to introduce customizable contracts in the future? [0:54:14] Voice unknown: Yeah. [0:54:16] Zack Brenner @zjbrenner: So you're completely correct. And transparently, it's outside of my expertise. And so I don't want to give you an answer that might be incorrect. [0:54:26] Voice unknown: OK, fair enough. [0:54:28] DocNooNoo @doc_noonoo: Flagging stolen NFTs, that's been an issue since the beginning of time where people are buying like an NFT and then it gets flagged and then they're stuck with it because they bought it before it got flagged. Is there any plans for OpenSea to address that issue? Because it's something that multiple people have brought up over the last [0:54:45] Voice unknown: five, six years. [0:54:50] Voice unknown: So I'll answer it relatively [0:54:52] Zack Brenner @zjbrenner: similarly to how I did the last question. Like, this isn't something that I have, that I'm directly like very deeply responsible for. So I don't want to give an incorrect answer. However, I do want to add one thing to that and that's that as honestly like I don't want to call myself external to the solution because like it was my team. But I was personally very much inspired by like a lot of work that the OpenSea team did. After there was the hack that happened on the Magic Gator Marketplace, I was really inspired by how everybody jumped to action and the different solutions that the team brought forward to try and protect as many people as possible. And so I wasn't even a part of that. I was inspired by the work that we're doing there. And so I think that means a lot to the team. [0:55:42] DocNooNoo @doc_noonoo: OK, great. One final question, I promise. And again, it's probably something that you can't answer or maybe you've heard whispers in the, you know, within the team. But we saw what happened to Magic Eden and all the promises they made about their token. And I hate to be the party pooper in the room and turn everything boring. But I'm very much about utility. So does Sea Token plan to have any utility, whether that's, you know, you can mint NFTs in there or something else weird and wonderful? [0:56:09] Dave @DCBK2LA: No, no, you're trying to get our guests. You're trying to get them to leave early. He already told us, I appreciate, [0:56:14] Voice unknown: you know, the you know, the second gem. I take it too. I get it. And Natalie's having connection issues again. We're going to have to share the same body. This is nuts. Natalie reconnect. But yeah, Zach, you know, good shot. Maybe maybe he'll be a maybe, he'll be [0:56:28] DocNooNoo @doc_noonoo: compelled to like respond to the British accent. [0:56:34] Zack Brenner @zjbrenner: I actually can't respond. I'm not I'm on the OpenSea Foundation, so it's not something that I [0:56:40] Zack Brenner @zjbrenner: can engage with at all. Fair enough. Well, thank [0:56:44] DocNooNoo @doc_noonoo: you for tolerating my questions. [0:56:47] Zack Brenner @zjbrenner: Thank you for caring. Thank you for all the questions. [0:56:50] Wolf @WOLF_Crypto_X: Let's go. Moni, go ahead. [0:56:53] Voice unknown: Of course, I have to ask about credits, Dave. Of course, credits. Zach, I'm just curious of how closely you guys worked with Zach, if at all. [0:57:02] Moni @monitalan: And also how exciting is it to be right now where enough things are changing, right? You're seeing so much innovation and experimentation. So I wanted to talk just more broadly about that and then specifically about credits because I'm a huge credits fan, as anybody on this face knows. But just curious on [0:57:20] Voice unknown: your end. Yeah, so I have found [0:57:24] Zack Brenner @zjbrenner: what's called dating back to July. Like, honestly, it's been dating back since the launch of of Robinhood Chain and it's gotten past Robinhood Chain like credits are on Ethereum. It's been really interesting seeing the novel use cases where there's been ecosystems of NFTs and tokens. I think historically in the space, those have been two different kind of like separate segments. And there have been different approaches, such [0:57:50] Voice unknown: as like the 404.
