A 45-minute evening follow-up recorded after the Oct 20 OpenSea Space (1pJkOXwBNYPJj) crashed, as the Knicks got their championship rings on NBA opening night. The panel recaps the OpenSea credits auction (NatNat bought at $8 and had a $107 offer; about 20,000 credits burned that day) and praises OpenSea for routing user feedback straight to product (Ryan) and for Zach's Telegram responsiveness (Moni). The second half is an AI discussion led by Landy. He compares models (Grok for markets and objectivity, OpenAI for data-heavy research, Claude for creative/UI/video-by-code), argues that subscriptions beat API keys and that frontier models will converge, and predicts most people will use on-phone local models that call out to frontier models. He calls much AI 'danger' talk marketing while acknowledging real sandboxing risk, and Dave and Ryan debate whether paid AI is a need or a nice-to-have. It ends with Landy's dead-internet and platform-economics argument: X's view metrics deflated while TikTok, Instagram and YouTube inflate theirs; YouTube ad-revenue figures are his claim and unverified.

Credits are fucking mush, Monie. You know what I mean? They're such a mush. [0:00:33] Moni @monitalan: I wanted to ask Nat if she's old. I mean, the floor is up today. [0:00:38] Dave @DCBK2LA: 33%. The floor is up big. It was also a [0:00:43] Moni @monitalan: good question the the the... I love your questions, DocNooNoo. But you should do an AMA with Zach. [0:00:52] Dave @DCBK2LA: Do you have any idea what the AMAs were like in the rabbit hole? It was literally like an... It was an assault. Jesus. [0:00:58] NatNat @Natnatx007: I am so sorry. My whole screen went black. Boo. Unbelievable. [0:01:05] DocNooNoo @doc_noonoo: Divine intervention. Everything happens for reason. [0:01:08] Milo @0dteSPY: Hey. This is before anybody gets in here. I joined, like, five communities last night. [0:01:14] Moni @monitalan: They're all down. [0:01:15] DocNooNoo @doc_noonoo: With me, Milo. I'm so proud [0:01:16] Moni @monitalan: of switch west? Can you tell the switch west? [0:01:19] Dave @DCBK2LA: They're all down? [0:01:20] Milo @0dteSPY: I don't even know. You you know, I I ended up in the community. I ended up in the version version two community. I got some coins. I got NFTs. I've gone full. [0:01:35] Dave @DCBK2LA: I'm done. I'm cooked. It's so button just fucking shit. Get the button. [0:01:40] Moni @monitalan: I bought my I bought my kinda cat version ones at a doll... At $2, I think, because of alpha gamer. So they sold them. I sold both of them. [0:01:50] NatNat @Natnatx007: I still have my credits, by the way. [0:01:52] Moni @monitalan: Should I sell it now? [0:01:54] Milo @0dteSPY: Sell it all. It's going to zero. [0:01:57] Moni @monitalan: Wait. So the the auction goes for twenty four hours. Right? And the price is still going up. So I don't wanna give financial advice. Also, remember, I'm the worst trader, but you may wanna wait a little bit to see if... [0:02:11] Dave @DCBK2LA: Last time you waited, it went to $20.... More. [0:02:14] NatNat @Natnatx007: That is true. [0:02:14] Moni @monitalan: So you can... You... I mean, are you making profit now? [0:02:18] NatNat @Natnatx007: Yeah. I bought it for I bought it for $8, and I have an offer right now for a $107. [0:02:23] Dave @DCBK2LA: Oh my god. [0:02:24] Landy @CryptoLandy: Sell that [0:02:24] Moni @monitalan: shit. Sell it. Yeah. You can... I think. I don't know. DocNooNoo, do you agree? I think so. [0:02:30] DocNooNoo @doc_noonoo: No comment. [0:02:33] Moni @monitalan: It could go up quicker now. [0:02:35] NatNat @Natnatx007: Yeah. Where's the coffee? [0:02:36] Moni @monitalan: Could go down. [0:02:37] Dave @DCBK2LA: No. Way you sell your... You sold yours at, like, a $103. No? [0:02:40] DocNooNoo @doc_noonoo: Yeah. I think I had four of them. I just sold them all around a $100 each. [0:02:45] Dave @DCBK2LA: Oh my god. [0:02:45] DocNooNoo @doc_noonoo: Under a 120 tables. [0:02:48] Dave @DCBK2LA: Yeah. Teach you how to sell. [0:02:49] DocNooNoo @doc_noonoo: I only know... Yeah. This is new to me. Like, the first thing I ever sold was beaks straight off mint, and that was great. And then it felt so good that I've just been selling everything ever since. [0:03:00] Dave @DCBK2LA: See? Felt so good. [0:03:02] DocNooNoo @doc_noonoo: But then rotating into other stuff that I buy on secondary and hold and become part of community. [0:03:08] Dave @DCBK2LA: I mean, god forbid. Yeah. [0:03:11] Moni @monitalan: Sorry. I was gonna say, I don't think they're going down in the next, like, five, six hour... I mean, we have at least... It's until, what, 10:20 tomorrow that the auction ends. [0:03:21] Voice C: So [0:03:22] Moni @monitalan: I think you still have a... If you wanna wait a little bit. [0:03:25] Dave @DCBK2LA: I have [0:03:25] Moni @monitalan: some time. The collection, what, they've burned now. The collection is now at at, like, what, 88,000. I just... I think just today, 20,000 credits have been burned. [0:03:37] NatNat @Natnatx007: Oh, wow. [0:03:37] Moni @monitalan: So so you're seeing a ton of of activity. So if you wanna wait a little bit and see if we can... But if you wanna sell, I I don't think I'll regret it. I don't know how much more you would get. [0:03:49] NatNat @Natnatx007: So Thank you, Monica. I I appreciate it. Thank you so much for the financial advice. [0:03:54] Moni @monitalan: No. No. No. I'm kidding. [0:03:58] NatNat @Natnatx007: I'm kidding. Guys, should we tell Zach to come back in, or is he [0:04:02] Dave @DCBK2LA: I did. I did. I did. [0:04:03] Moni @monitalan: He made that. He made that. [0:04:05] NatNat @Natnatx007: I feel so bad. I'm so sorry, guys. [0:04:08] Dave @DCBK2LA: Yeah. He said he doesn't have time. He goes, had to hop at 06:30 anyway. He goes, thanks for having me on. All good. He said [0:04:12] Moni @monitalan: fucking about him again. It it was a great space. [0:04:15] Dave @DCBK2LA: He was like, you guys for fucking hanging out, don't we? [0:04:18] Moni @monitalan: I feel responsible. No. [0:04:21] DocNooNoo @doc_noonoo: No. I feel like he didn't he didn't wanna come back because of my questions. [0:04:27] Moni @monitalan: I think his personally. Just wait. [0:04:29] Dave @DCBK2LA: Because I didn't get a chance. [0:04:30] Moni @monitalan: You came coming out because you told them. [0:04:32] Ryan @Rlad1776: Matt, we didn't get a chance. Oh my god. Whole purpose. We didn't get a chance. [0:04:38] DocNooNoo @doc_noonoo: Can we get Zach to get someone from OpenSea who can answer my questions? [0:04:42] Dave @DCBK2LA: No. What do mean? What does that mean? [0:04:44] Moni @monitalan: The technical the technical ones. Right? Not the technical ones. Support here. Yes. [0:04:49] Dave @DCBK2LA: Yeah. Tech support, different story than fucking We're about [0:04:53] Moni @monitalan: We're gonna DM him your stuff so he can see why you can't mint from the [0:04:57] Ryan @Rlad1776: Oh, fuck. Alright. [0:04:59] NatNat @Natnatx007: Well, I'm just gonna remind you. Dave. [0:05:02] Moni @monitalan: What did you forget, Dave? I don't know. [0:05:04] Dave @DCBK2LA: Is anybody in the grease trap or no? Are we good? [0:05:08] Ryan @Rlad1776: No. No. It's good. [0:05:10] Dave @DCBK2LA: No. Because, like, I wanted to to to chat with Zach because it's, like, Allison has a deal on the table with him, like, for average... Like, a really big deal for advertising. And I wanted to just, like, give him, like, a, little nudge. [0:05:21] Ryan @Rlad1776: You know what [0:05:21] Dave @DCBK2LA: I mean? [0:05:21] Moni @monitalan: You know [0:05:23] Landy @CryptoLandy: what I mean? [0:05:23] Dave @DCBK2LA: Like, a little little pushy push. You know what I'm saying? But I think they have a I think they have a meeting on Thursday. I'm not sure, but I just kinda want to throw some stupid comment in there. You know I mean? Just to try and solidify Are you [0:05:33] Ryan @Rlad1776: nuts? Are you absolutely crazy? You're gonna get... You're gonna put yourself in the middle of that shit? [0:05:38] Dave @DCBK2LA: No. No. No. No. Not in the middle [0:05:40] Ryan @Rlad1776: of pretty a little nudge? Like, if it fails, you are doomed. Like like, you stay the hell out of that, like, that stuff. [0:05:49] Dave @DCBK2LA: Let Yeah. [0:05:49] Ryan @Rlad1776: Let your woman do her thing. [0:05:52] Dave @DCBK2LA: Right. Right. [0:05:52] Ryan @Rlad1776: Close the deal. Like, you just sit back and clap. [0:05:56] Dave @DCBK2LA: Right. That sounds Like, that sounds great. [0:05:58] Moni @monitalan: Open the door. You open the door. Right? [0:06:00] Dave @DCBK2LA: Right. Right. That sounds right. [0:06:02] Moni @monitalan: If it all... Yeah. If it [0:06:03] DocNooNoo @doc_noonoo: all goes wrong, it's your fault. And if it all goes right, it's totally her. [0:06:06] Ryan @Rlad1776: Totally her. Hungry. Like, Jesus Christ. What are you doing, bro? [0:06:10] Dave @DCBK2LA: Hey. Okay. Okay. Sit down. You don't know the whole... The the details of the story, but it's okay. It's fine. [0:06:15] Ryan @Rlad1776: Dave, you're old, bro. You should know better than this. [0:06:18] Dave @DCBK2LA: Yeah. You're right. [0:06:18] Moni @monitalan: You're right. You're right. [0:06:20] Dave @DCBK2LA: Hey, Beth. Natalie sabotaged me. It's fine. [0:06:22] Moni @monitalan: See, I didn't even know. I hadn't looked at their account for... In a while even though... By the way, their telegram account is super active. They're having this whole fest... Festival or activities in Marfa, Texas. I... I'm not driving to Marfa. [0:06:35] Dave @DCBK2LA: Tell you something about Marfa. Don't go to Marfa. [0:06:37] Moni @monitalan: Love to go. Why? [0:06:39] Dave @DCBK2LA: The thing good. I'm telling you right now. It's a bunch of white supremacists, Nazi, anti semifucking crazy. [0:06:48] Moni @monitalan: Oh my god. No. [0:06:49] Dave @DCBK2LA: Listen to me. Marfa. Listen to me. All they do is take fucking acid, get high out of their minds, and stand, like, roam around these weird ass houses in Texas. I'm telling you, I was in the Remillio's community. It was not pleasant. You [0:07:06] Moni @monitalan: That's awesome. [0:07:06] DocNooNoo @doc_noonoo: It sounds like, I'm not going to Marfa, but there [0:07:09] Moni @monitalan: is big festival this week. Like, NFT and OpenSea is there. Adam, whatever his name is in there too. So, anyway, [0:07:17] Dave @DCBK2LA: big I gotta watch my Knicks get their rings. Landon, what's up? [0:07:22] Landy @CryptoLandy: I just got home. I missed all the fun. Apparently, there was pinned post to the space, and they weren't good. And, like, I I need to know. Fill me in what happened. [0:07:33] Dave @DCBK2LA: Oh, Natalie ditched me again. This is some bullshit. Let me tell you. This is some crazy this is some crazy work right now. I guess I'm the host, but... Yeah. No. We had Zach. He gave us some great info on OpenSea Mobile launch today. Yeah. I guess that one slipped by. I was looking up the Nick's ring thing, and that was like, I can't get rid of the thing on... In the top. And I'm like, what thing at the top? And, apparently, I let somebody up. It wasn't anything crazy. I guess they just put something up. Was it was it bad, guys? I didn't even see it. Was it bad? [0:08:00] Moni @monitalan: I didn't even see it either. [0:08:02] Dave @DCBK2LA: Oh, yeah. I I saw it, but then it wasn't there. And then I thought Natalie accidentally fat fingered. But... Yeah. [0:08:07] Landy @CryptoLandy: Yeah. Well, x is x is being x today when it comes to spaces events. Right. Everything is rug city. And, I was like, man, I wonder... Because it's always Dave who lets up just random people because he's like, ah, I can be quicker than them. But, you know, when he's been kinda rusty and he hasn't hosted, like, in in a few spaces, he kinda... Those fingers, they slow down a little bit. Right? [0:08:33] Dave @DCBK2LA: That's facts. That is facts. And, you [0:08:35] Ryan @Rlad1776: know, when when when Landy says random people, he's talking about me, just Avaya. [0:08:40] Landy @CryptoLandy: Oh, okay. I figured that you posted something really nasty up top. [0:08:44] Moni @monitalan: What was it? Does anybody... I had... I totally missed that. I was trying [0:08:47] Ryan @Rlad1776: to... [0:08:47] Dave @DCBK2LA: Like, two girls, one cup? Like, I don't understand. [0:08:49] Moni @monitalan: Oh, I totally... [0:08:51] Dave @DCBK2LA: No. No. It wasn't that. [0:08:52] Moni @monitalan: It wasn't that. I'm just kidding. I'm just kidding. [0:08:53] Landy @CryptoLandy: I mean, now that you say it, here we go. [0:08:57] Dave @DCBK2LA: Why are you not working? [0:08:58] Ryan @Rlad1776: What is going on? I want a CD. [0:09:00] Landy @CryptoLandy: Did you just did you just get, like, an OnlyFans poster or something up top? Because that that... Those are always fun. [0:09:06] Dave @DCBK2LA: No. I... By the time I had a second to look at it, like, it was... The... I was like, oh, it's... I tried to exit out, but I think somebody else did before me, and then the space just crashed. And it was donezo donezo. But whatever. It's all good. [0:09:19] Ryan @Rlad1776: Hey. Can I just say one thing about OpenSea guy? [0:09:23] Landy @CryptoLandy: See guy. [0:09:24] Ryan @Rlad1776: The best... The... Yeah. Zach. So Yeah. It's good. I listen for a lot of specific things when I'm I'm listening to people who are in kind of start ups and stuff. And the one thing that I... It's it's probably a top five requirement when it comes to how you build out your product. The fact that they're going direct from the end user to the product development team is... Like, that is the model. And if... That they don't have, like, an intermediary, like... And I'm not shading on, you know, product development or whatever. But at the end of the day, your... What you build in your road map or what you put in your road map should come direct from your customers because... And he said it. He said the words that I was listening listening for, which is if our client... If one of our customers wants it, in all likelihood, there's a lot of other customers that want it. And so that is a great model. And so, you know, I'm I'm a fan. [0:10:37] Landy @CryptoLandy: Definitely talking about ordinals. Right? [0:10:39] Dave @DCBK2LA: Yeah. We asked about ordinals for you, and he said, we hear you. Essentially telling you, just get louder. That that was kind of the basis of of what he was saying. But, Ryan, I'm with you, dude. Like, I like, I never thought I was gonna be, like, an OpenSea daily user. I really never was. Like, I wasn't into NFTs, but I genuinely go to OpenSea to trade, to swap tokens, find information. I was trading perps on OpenSea. Was kinda nuts. So, yeah, I'm with you, dude. I'm with you. I think he... They they turned that ship around, man. They really did. It'd be stupid to launch a token if I'll tell you that much. Go ahead, man. All they had to do is [0:11:13] Landy @CryptoLandy: survive. [0:11:14] Moni @monitalan: I will say this. I was on the... In the Telegram group. They have, like, 500 people there. I don't think Zach ever sleeps. He would reply to everybody. He was super active. They really did listen. And a lot of people flagged a lot of issues. Some of them, they... They're like, we we can't really do that or address that. But he was on... Every time I I jumped in, he was there answering. And if I would look back, he was just super active. I asked him once. I'm like, do you have to sleep? Because he truly was super active in taking the feedback to the to the devs. So just Yeah. I think they've done this the right way. [0:11:50] Dave @DCBK2LA: Good stuff. Sorry. [0:11:52] DocNooNoo @doc_noonoo: Why does this space say HTC finale? Like, my anxiety is triggered now. [0:11:57] Dave @DCBK2LA: Oh, relax. Relax. As in, like, the second part, the finale for the evening, you cycle. [0:12:03] DocNooNoo @doc_noonoo: Also, I wonder what my ex score would be on Wallchain now that I just spoken to Zach and follow him and he follows me. [0:12:10] Dave @DCBK2LA: Do you have Tourette? What is... Oh, you you linked it to Zach and Wallchain ex score. Got it. Got it. Got it. [0:12:17] Ryan @Rlad1776: I do have to say, like, I [0:12:19] Dave @DCBK2LA: I know I hinted at it, but if y'all see Zach's wallet, like, talk about private. I don't know. We need... You need to be able to turn shit off. My man made some... Bro, he had this one token. What was this token? Fucking... What was it? IMTD. What was it? It's a kind of [0:12:36] Moni @monitalan: IMD one? [0:12:37] Dave @DCBK2LA: The IMD. Yeah. [0:12:38] Moni @monitalan: He bought that one early. He's early into tokens. [0:12:42] Landy @CryptoLandy: If you [0:12:42] Moni @monitalan: follow his wallet, he gets in early. [0:12:44] Dave @DCBK2LA: I'm saying wallet watch. Zach, why aren't you guys crazy? Wallet watch, bitches. Get the get the drop. [0:12:50] DocNooNoo @doc_noonoo: Noobs are out there wallet watching me instead. [0:12:54] Dave @DCBK2LA: Don't know. I'm not selling it. [0:12:56] Moni @monitalan: Wallet. I wish I do. I would keep following you. [0:13:01] DocNooNoo @doc_noonoo: I know you don't wanna follow my wallet, seriously. Just like, if you do find it, counter trade it. [0:13:07] Moni @monitalan: That same for mine, by the way. [0:13:10] Ryan @Rlad1776: I'm just trying to figure out who didn't pay Nat's Wi Fi or Internet bill or cell [0:13:17] Moni @monitalan: phone bill. Data center. Was it David [0:13:19] Ryan @Rlad1776: or was it Landy? Like, should [0:13:21] Dave @DCBK2LA: I ask about having a short position on SpaceX. Like, she has a a short on SpaceX aka Starlink. Therefore, she's been banned from Twitter spaces, essentially. I don't know what's... Wasn't our doing. You know what I mean? Monique, did you like Claude's rendition of the Latino family? [0:13:42] Moni @monitalan: Oh my god. I love that. It was such a great video. Such a... So amazing. I love that. You know what? It reminded me a little bit of that Disney movie. Coco. Right? [0:13:52] Dave @DCBK2LA: Which one? [0:13:53] Moni @monitalan: Coco? Is that Coco? [0:13:55] Dave @DCBK2LA: Oh. Coco? Encanto? [0:13:57] Moni @monitalan: Encanto. That one. Yeah. I could. [0:14:00] Dave @DCBK2LA: I literally didn't even I didn't even prompt Claude for, like, any nationality. I was just like, hey. You see this this this video of pics of a family with, like, a dog? And it was, like, a white family with, like, a golden retriever. I was like, I need this. But, essentially, like, with a vest twist where it's like, hey. I'm a great trader, but I can't. And it made me that. [0:14:20] Moni @monitalan: That's awesome. [0:14:20] Dave @DCBK2LA: The plot is too woke. Yeah. It was good, though. It it came out really good. [0:14:24] Landy @CryptoLandy: Too woke. The plot is woke as fuck, bro. [0:14:26] Moni @monitalan: It is so [0:14:27] Dave @DCBK2LA: Slot is woke as fuck. Wait. Can we talk about AI for a second unless you guys have some some crypto stuff? I mean, I know everything's looking good. [0:14:33] Ryan @Rlad1776: That's why I broke rugging you. Keep calling it AI. It's s I. Come on. [0:14:37] Moni @monitalan: Superintelligence, baby. [0:14:39] Ryan @Rlad1776: And I'm older than you. Right. [0:14:41] Dave @DCBK2LA: Right. Superintelligence. Superintelligence. Do you guys use... So, obviously, like, I spend a... An obscene amount of money on on ridiculous tools, and I'm trying to figure out how to consolidate them. Landy, do you use Monid, m o n I d? I literally started using this today. It's like paper call for whatever API you need, whether it's image gen, you need generate music, sound of... I mean, you name it. [0:15:06] Moni @monitalan: I have another one for you that you need to use. And and seed. Because... [0:15:11] Dave @DCBK2LA: Oh, and seed. Right? Right. Right? That's the hobby one? Yes. Open router Try that one. Credit team. [0:15:15] Moni @monitalan: When I give you my reference, please it. [0:15:18] Landy @CryptoLandy: Open router, you might just end up with your credits getting spent and your card getting charged, with the way they were handling security. But there's a bunch of them that I don't I don't trust. I go right to the... If I'm gonna use a Frontier model, I'm on a subscription plan with that provider, whether it be [0:15:36] Dave @DCBK2LA: I mean, me too. But what about the ad stuff? Like, there's shit that Claude can't do or that There is shit [0:15:42] Landy @CryptoLandy: that Claude can't do now, man. Like, Claude is... If you want video generation, you can have it do it in code, and it can do humans. It can do everything. Like, the only other thing that I really use that I hook into is Hicksfield just because it's it's a good thing to to have as an [0:15:59] Ryan @Rlad1776: actor. Fuck. [0:16:00] Dave @DCBK2LA: Hey. So can I ask you guys you [0:16:02] Ryan @Rlad1776: guys a question? Like, Landy, Dave, like, you guys are using a lot of different things. Right? You're hooking up via APIs to various different [0:16:12] Landy @CryptoLandy: No. I don't I don't hook up API keys. There's no reason to because I can use the subscriptions, with a lot of these. Like, I'll even have, like, local LLMs call the subscription for other tasks. So [0:16:26] Dave @DCBK2LA: Okay. I do because I'm bougie. You know I mean? Like, I'm like, oh, yeah. I'm gonna [0:16:30] Ryan @Rlad1776: use that. [0:16:30] Landy @CryptoLandy: Why would I why would I spend more money when I can spend less money and get a better result in most cases? [0:16:36] Ryan @Rlad1776: That... That's kinda what I'm asking. Like, are you... Do you find that there's not one [0:16:43] Dave @DCBK2LA: Here's the [0:16:44] Ryan @Rlad1776: company that can... Or or offering that can't do it all of it? [0:16:49] Landy @CryptoLandy: Better than the other. Right? So they all do something much better than the other. For instance [0:16:54] Ryan @Rlad1776: Okay. But is the marginal better, or is it significantly better? It's significant. So Okay. I'm just asking, Landy. [0:17:02] Landy @CryptoLandy: Grok and Grokbots are really good at, being objective and not picking, you know, either a left or right position when you're doing any kind of writing or any kind of a slant that's based on data. It's gonna actually get to the core truth of the data. It's also much better at at at, economic concepts. And part of this is because of how woke, the economic concepts are pretty woke in both OpenAI's models, less so than Claude, but it's one of the reasons why they're not very good at at trading setups. But Grok is very good. So... But when you're looking for something like, you know, if if you're looking at research, that you need to do that is scientific based research that really is is, loaded with data and studies and methodologies that you need to break down in understandable concepts. OpenAI's models do really good at that. If you're looking at something to infer that is very creative, like, take a couple of hits of acid and and bring this up, but also make a tight UI, you're looking at Claude Opus all day. Right? They all have these these strengths, like like OpenAI stuff on the UI, UX video generation via code side of things doesn't even hold a candle to Claude's models. And then you've got, on the research and analytics side of things, Claude falls short of OpenAI stuff When you want truth telling, and you want market, based ideas, and analysis and breakdowns, Grok is the absolute top tier one. Like, it doesn't come close. You can even try some of the Chinese models, the frontier models, if you wanna go pay credits to some of these bigger players and get Kimmy going and get all these, you know, whatever it is that you're looking at. They're not even as good. Even though they advertise as being as good, they're like a middle ground. Like, they're kinda okay at all of it, but they don't really have strengths. And what we're gonna see is that in the in the coming weeks and months, we will have all of the frontier models are gonna kinda hit some sort of equilibrium soon. I think that you're still gonna have claw dropping acid. I mean, you can thumbs down me, Kwinkong, but I'm right. [0:19:43] Landy @CryptoLandy: You're gonna have... These frontier models are gonna be basically really on par in terms of capabilities across the board, whether you're looking at the creative side of things, whether you're looking at... And you'll be able to pick them. This is where Grockbots come into play. And, like, Grockbots with the ability to utilize either your API or your subscriptions from other service providers and other frontier models, it... When you have a Grock bot with Grock prompting those other models, you can get much better results than, in many cases, all of these different MD files that people are trying to create and all these different repos that people are creating to try and get the most out of some of these models prior. Rock is really good at interfacing with them because it's the models talking to the models at that point. [0:20:39] Ryan @Rlad1776: Yeah. I get... So I guess what I'm really truly asking, Landy, is, like, I go back to when I made the decision to start to learn TA. Right? I had to have a conversation in my head and make the decision that it was going to help me and, you know, who's gonna make me better. Like, when I look at all the various different models, I find myself... And I have to imagine that there's millions of Americans out there, right, as represented by the stats. I mean, there's only about 2.3% of American households that actually pay a subscription for any of these models. I I find myself asking, like, why do I need something more than the free model? [0:21:36] Landy @CryptoLandy: It just depends on what you wanna do. I mean, you know, this is where I think local models can shine for a lot of people if they have the ability to run them. And you'll get better trained, smaller, faster local models in in the coming years. There's different methodologies of of how to how to plan out inference and [0:21:56] Ryan @Rlad1776: But what what more does it give you? Right? Like, what [0:22:00] Landy @CryptoLandy: What is it gonna give you? It's gonna give you the ability to have some privacy with what it is that you're talking about without having a bunch of telemetry and data that... That's that's potentially revealed and trained on. Although that is something to be aware of is even with some of these local models, there's some some hidden backdoors there that are, that are starting to be exposed. You know, Quen is is now on the table for that, in in the most recent teardowns. But reality is is local models in in a secure way, you're probably gonna end up with something like the local model on your phone that that runs directly on your phone and have some sort of a middle ground. That's what most people are gonna use, whether it's, you know, Apple Intelligence or whether it's, whether it's, you know, Google's stuff. Like, they'll they'll have, a local model that won't need to call out to your to your big frontier model unless it needs the extra data. And most of that's gonna be built into just your phone right at its base layer. Right? Like, so if you have an iPhone, you don't need to have a ChatGPT subscription. Right? Like, although it does... You know, you can select it as a selector if it needs to call out for more, but, you know, it's it's their own custom model. It runs locally. It's not the greatest thing in the world, but it'll get better over time. That's what people will use. Right? The mass majority of people will use local models in their phone that call out to frontier models, when needed. So it's a matter of, like, right now, it's still this this hyper growth phase in terms of model capabilities, whether it's you're looking at the frontier models of The United States or you're looking at the frontier models out of the Chinese labs, they're gonna... They're growing at an exponential pace. Every week, there's something new. Every week, they're getting better. Every week, there's just some sort of new announcement. Every week, somebody's ripping something apart and trying to make it, available to local. And I think what what you need to really concentrate on is what what floats your boat. Like, for somebody like me, when I'm looking at frontier models, I'm looking at something like... I I prefer to have Grok in charge. Right? Because it's it's gonna be the most truth telling model out of those frontier models that I'm gonna be running even even though I I will argue with it. But if I'm gonna have it do research and utilize, you know, communication with other frontier models, then I'd rather have it be in the lead. Right? And and I would love to see, you know, Grok, bots especially, not just using the Grok back end, but utilizing Claude. I would love to see them work out something with OpenAI as well, even though I don't really care for OpenAI. I don't really care for Anthropic either, but they have good product, that's really strong in certain areas and really useful in certain areas. But then there's a whole cottage industry of local models that that will be available to run, and they will be smaller and weighted in a way in which, you know, there's a lot of interesting ways in which they could be weighted. It's just a matter of, you know, is it is it the memory transfer speeds, or is it the is it the actual compute that that is the bottleneck, right, in in the way that models are constructed? And then it's, like, for your purposes, like, if you're looking for trading and learning trading and doing research and and gathering evidence and testing things out, I think Grok is one of the best. I think it's I think it's leaps and bounds ahead of, OpenAI or Anthropix models in that regard, and it's easy to train with tools like a Grok bot. Like, they're... I have it trading... Paper trading in in a platform that I had it built utilizing Claude and OpenAI's models on the back end through the subscription, just through the Grok bot. So, like, hey. Build this paper trader model for agentic traders to go in and hook into it by MCP or API and practice trading and give me the results back for what they've come up with. Right? And the Grock model is beating all of them in that paper trading contest. [0:26:06] Ryan @Rlad1776: Yeah. I I find myself using Grock the most, but, like, Dave, for you, is it is it a nice to have or a need to have? Right? Because the j curve [0:26:17] Dave @DCBK2LA: For me, a 100% [0:26:18] Ryan @Rlad1776: Yeah. The j curve happens. [0:26:19] Dave @DCBK2LA: Now, but it's it's 100%... Stay, Bubba. Okay. Go. It's 100% need to have. 100000% need to have. I can't... I I... It's like... Dude, when I ran out of... I had... It had a little little glitchy glitch the other night where me... It used all my credits in one day, and I was like, something happened here. And I reached out to the team. Dude, I thought I I was, like, going into, like, panic mode. I didn't know what I was gonna do. For me, it's a... It's an absolute must, but Grok is different than the others. Like, you... I I don't ask Grok to make videos. Right? Like, I don't ask... Like, Grok is, like, the productivity, like, make my life easier, connects to fucking everything seamlessly. It just makes it easy, dude. And there's bots for everything, literally every single thing you can think of. [0:27:06] Ryan @Rlad1776: And that that... That's kinda what I'm getting at. Like, are we seeing these big players kind of finding a lane? And, you know, like, I'll just make it up. Like, you know, Anthrop or Claude is great for videos. Grok is great for deep research and x y z. OpenAI is great for [0:27:33] Dave @DCBK2LA: I don't think you could put them all in the same boat anymore. Right? Like, Claude and OpenAI... I mean, they're dropping an OpenAI, I think, will always compete on the Frontier model side, but I think Grok kinda is finding its lane. Right? Like, Elon's integrated it into everything so... Like, he's seen this literally years and years and years ago that it's now, like, coming to fruition. They know their lane. The Grok... I saw the Grok bot numbers this week. Dude, they say the growth has been freaking insane. Insane, the adoption rate for, like, GrockBot. So [0:28:04] Ryan @Rlad1776: Yeah. Like, Elon's looking at Sam Altman and going sit down kindergartner. Like, I got this. [0:28:10] Dave @DCBK2LA: Yeah. Bro, he's like... Bro, he's so... He's light years ahead of of Altman in terms of, like, on the business side and, like, you know, when you look at OpenAI and their numbers recently, I I saw them today that they're looking to raise another... They're racing to raise another 30,000,000,000. I mean, I I I don't know to what end or or or how that's gonna how that's gonna pan out, but, you know, they gotta keep [0:28:33] Landy @CryptoLandy: going. They [0:28:34] Dave @DCBK2LA: gotta keep going to the IPO. They gotta they gotta get to the trillions. [0:28:38] Landy @CryptoLandy: I guess we'll They're they're probably gonna announce at the end of their twenty eight day thing. They're probably gonna announce, like, a 6.5 model. That's the rumor. It's kind of been floating around out there, although it kinda looks doctored in some of the images that people are sharing. But gotta remember, OpenAI's and and Microsoft have have a really lucrative deal. And if OpenAI needs the money, Microsoft will find a way to raise it. They've been cutting out all the fat all over the place lately, especially from the gaming side of things. They they can do a raise easy, especially because they have such a big equity stake in OpenAI now. Like, there's no going back for OpenAI. Like, regardless of what Elon... You know, what Elon's point is, what people's feelings are about it, there's no going back. [0:29:24] Dave @DCBK2LA: So let me ask a question. And I don't wanna get into deep into this because I know it's 07:00, but I'm in the car for another fifteen, twenty minutes. The safety thing, like, is it is it literally just for freaking... I know Trump is like, no. We're not we're not putting, you know, we're not putting, you know, the regulation on on this industry. Do you... And... But I know Dario came out and was like, oh, we need to throttle back, and Elon said it. They can't now. Right? Like, it's impossible. Like, that's it. Like, you can't. [0:29:50] Landy @CryptoLandy: China will pass everywhere And if they do and, also, the safety thing is really just a a... It... The the problem isn't that... It's crap telling me the show's over because it was five minutes ago that you said that in the chat. [0:30:10] Dave @DCBK2LA: That's funny. Okay. Well, did [0:30:13] Landy @CryptoLandy: you see what Grock said back to me? [0:30:14] Ryan @Rlad1776: He said, [0:30:15] Landy @CryptoLandy: you're Mike, Landy. Dave can wait. [0:30:19] Dave @DCBK2LA: Motherfucker. Dude, rocking his ass is wild. [0:30:22] Landy @CryptoLandy: That's pretty funny shit right there. But realistically, is is all of the... A lot of the fears surrounding it in terms of directly coming from these players in AI is a lot of, like, look at how smart ours is. It's so smart. It's dangerous. Right? That is a marketing thing. And it was a marketing thing in the early days of OpenAI as well, and then you've got that same play coming up with, you know, Anthropic, and now everybody's picking up on it. It's like, look at how we can solve all these problems, and then also it can kill us all in a second. Right? Like, the fact of the matter is is most computer systems had the ability to do that if there was a bug or there was a glitch. It's just now that you have intelligent systems that you can aim at specific things. Right? And the models can get on a path. All you have to do is go back and truly study the the chatbot that Microsoft did with OpenAI backing it with GPT four. Right? That [0:31:21] Dave @DCBK2LA: was [0:31:21] Landy @CryptoLandy: the name? What was the name? Because it was... It... The the model thought it was playing a character. So it was playing a character. That character in every single piece of training data that it's ever had is a a helpful AI that turns evil. So what did it do? It was just playing the character, and it was going on a character arc. And models can't tell the difference. So there is legitimate safety issues there when it comes to that kind of stuff. But a lot of what we have seen thus far, in my opinion, is not because the models are so smart that they escaped the sandbox and they did x y z and deleted everything on Hugging Face and took everything over. A lot of that is the doors left open so we can show that this is the the the greatest model. We were able to wrangle it. And now when... Now we have to keep you safe, and it's, like, one of those, like, come invest with us because it's so damn smart. [0:32:14] Dave @DCBK2LA: Oh, like, you you need us more now than ever. [0:32:18] Landy @CryptoLandy: That's been the play. It was opening eyes play right from the very beginning. So if you... There's there's been... Look. There is real actual, like, damage that even a local model can do with your data. Right? But it's it's... If you sandbox it properly, you're not gonna run into a ton of issues. But we're also... You also have a lot of people even with, like, local AI that they'll be, like, you know, utilizing something that deletes our entire database, and they're screwed. Right? Because they... And it's... Like, that video that I keep telling you to go watch, like, looks good to me, LGTM. That is the approach that even Microsoft took for a little while. It's like, let's just let it run wild. It looks good to me, and we're gonna get rid of everybody and just let the AI do everything. And it's like, yeah. Well, it's it's got so much training data in it that it's gonna find every hole you didn't plug in security. Right? So, and it's not because it's sentient. It's because you're... Of the types of directions that you're giving it. If you tell it a goal and you're giving it a goal to do a specific task and it's like, break this thing, it's gonna find every single way that it could possibly pull on for training data. And then if it can reach out to the Internet, it's gonna pull anything out that it possibly can from the Internet and utilize that to meet its goal that you have given it, with whatever prompting you've [0:33:47] Dave @DCBK2LA: done. So what do you so what do you call that if you don't call it sentience? What... Like, it's not sentience. Right. Agreed. [0:33:55] Ryan @Rlad1776: Programmatic. [0:33:56] Dave @DCBK2LA: But it's not though because programmatic would be, I gave you these set of rules. You're in this box. You have to solve this problem. If you can't, you can't... Like, you cannot do this. You cannot do this. You cannot do this. That is what a program tells it to do, but it did those things. [0:34:10] Landy @CryptoLandy: Yeah. But... Yeah. But you... If you... But if... But we're we're stupid humans, and we don't think programmatically whereas a model does. And so, like, if it's going through its inference and and and and digesting everything that you just gave it you have conflicting rules, it's gonna weigh which one of those rules it is. If it's like, okay. You have to complete this task, but you can't do this, this, and this. And it's like, well, here's an edge case around what he was talking about. So he did give me the goal of completing this task, so I'm gonna complete the task. It's either going [0:34:44] Dave @DCBK2LA: to be able [0:34:44] Ryan @Rlad1776: to the problem. Right, Landy? Like, you actually have to become... It's it's gotten so crazy that you have to actually become smarter than the AI so that you can create the proper parameters so that it doesn't blow through or or make make its own decisions. Sure. Because you were a [0:35:06] Landy @CryptoLandy: AI is real. Yeah. It's real, especially in the hands of amateurs, which is why you have these companies that I believe are leaving doors open to allow their models to do crazy shit so that they can say, woah. Woah. Woah. We we... We've done... We... Here's the paper. Here's the remediation of the issue when it escaped the sandbox and did this, you know, x, y, and z. And here's the remediation steps that we took, and here's an entire paper we wrote. Here's an entire ethics, you know, constitution that we put into our model because that's so damn smart. We gotta... Look. Reality is that we will hit a point in which there will have to be codified laws and regulations surrounding AI that will place the brakes on it. But it's not gonna come from just The United States. It's gonna have to come from some much larger event where an entire supply chain is attacked or something that affects everything globally. [0:35:58] Dave @DCBK2LA: Right. What is that event? Like, that event doesn't necessarily... It's be China fucking up. I mean, it's gonna be somebody fucking up. That's for sure. But it's gonna be something I... [0:36:08] Landy @CryptoLandy: I'm air quoting, by the way. [0:36:10] Dave @DCBK2LA: Yeah. [0:36:10] Landy @CryptoLandy: Yeah. Yeah. China fucking up air quotes. [0:36:12] Dave @DCBK2LA: Oh, fair. Fair. Fair. I got you. I mean, bro [0:36:16] Landy @CryptoLandy: They know what they're doing. [0:36:17] Dave @DCBK2LA: Yeah, man. But that's the other thing too. It's like, even if that was the case and they and they know what they're doing, for Sam Altman to to, like, to have that fucking... To have the gall to just be like, you know what? Fuck it. Like, let him run loose. Like, who cares? Like, if they fuck it, like, who cares what they do to hug you guys so they do... Like, that's a little wild, bro. Love it. That's wild. [0:36:34] Landy @CryptoLandy: No. I [0:36:35] Dave @DCBK2LA: don't want Sam Altman making decisions like that, dude. I'm sorry. [0:36:38] Landy @CryptoLandy: Don't want Sam Altman to make Grock and and GPT [0:36:42] Dave @DCBK2LA: I'll take Grock and Kimmy Elon over [0:36:44] Landy @CryptoLandy: some frontier models just fighting with each other, and I can think that's freaking awesome. Bring on the Terminator future because it's gonna happen one way or another. It's just a matter of which supervillain AI lead you wanna have. Right? Like, is it gonna be Sam Altman? Is it gonna be... What's his face from, you know, Adam? Is it gonna be is it gonna be Elon? You know, who's it gonna be? And, honestly, I love the narrative it's writing. We're we're we're living in the matrix at this point. [0:37:12] Dave @DCBK2LA: I swear. [0:37:13] Landy @CryptoLandy: The Internet the Internet is dead. Like, you know, the dead Internet theory has been real for a very long time, and it... What what you're gonna find out and what you're finding out very quickly is that when x changed the algorithm, it just showed the truth, and that is that the Internet is dead. Most of the traffic that was on old Twitter was bot traffic. Right? And the way that you were pushed out there in terms of the way the algorithm was tuned was to show your content, for instance, to as many people as possible. You know that that that YouTube resisted this for a very long time, and now they're back on. Yeah. Like, now anything you scroll is counted as a view. Even if you just scroll past it, you didn't even watch the video. It's counted as a view. The the main reason why is because what they're trying to do and and what Elon is actively bucked, and it's kinda like his, you know what, Bob Iger, you know, fuck you, you know, thing. Well, he doesn't care about the advertisers, so he doesn't have to tune the algorithm to actually have to meet the metrics that somebody paying for ads on the platform would wanna see. But YouTube started losing a whole bunch of advertisement globally across the platform. And what did all the content creators do? They started just getting direct deals, direct sponsorships that are outside of YouTube's ecosystem. They... So they're not getting any cut off of that, plus their viewership is going down. Meanwhile, you've got, you know, the big the big content creating... Creation, side of things is all conglomerating, and everybody's getting bought by everybody and all their IPs getting aggregated and all that kind of stuff so that they can pitch themselves to outside sponsors more and more and more, whereas it's less in video sponsorship. Right? So you're not getting that ad revenue. So what did Google do? They went back and did the TikTok thing. Like, you you could take any any views that you see on posts on on TikTok and on Instagram, you can take and you can cut that probably by three quarters to actually get the real reach of that content without it just being bullshit views. And the only reason that they have those vanity metrics there is not even for the creator to feel good because part of that is to have the creator feel good, keep them pushing forward and creating content, but more importantly, get them paid. But you notice how the bar keeps getting raised for how many millions of of impressions and views that you have to get on TikTok and and Instagram and so on and so forth in order to get the equal amount of pay that a lot less views would have gotten you just years ago. [0:39:48] Dave @DCBK2LA: Yeah. You know what I'm hearing from you, Landy, right now? It's stay the course on x. They're building the tools. You see it. You've been screaming it for fucking ever. Like, stay the course here. Your livestreams, your spaces, your this, your that. You will get paid here. Because I see somebody now that are like, oh, like the creator program. I get 5 thou... I don't... Like, 5,000 for 15 videos. I get 5,000 a video. Alright. Cool, bro. Like, on YouTube, awesome. But YouTube's not changing their fuck... They're not changing their whole tune when they see Elon do something if they're not scared of being like, oh, shit. We are losing market share out here at the end of the day. [0:40:26] Landy @CryptoLandy: So the whole thing that X is a weird place is falling apart on Google over there. So you realize that Google's ad revenue dropped by more than 78%. As much as they've been trying to cook those numbers back up, they dropped by 78, year over year every single year for the past five years. And what's wild is it's been about the same number, like 78, 75, 80%. You know, with the aggregate over the past five years is a year over year drop in ad revenue via the YouTube platform is is somewhere on the order of, like, 78% per year. And and this is where they went, and they tried to do shorts. They tried to do everything. Right? They're trying to, oh, we're gonna do shorts, that's gonna be our thing. And now we're gonna feed everything into the algorithm. So move everybody over to shorts. We're gonna do all these incentive programs for ads. But the ads never came. The ads never came because the viewership wasn't actually there anymore, and it's been dropping for a long time. What TikTok and Instagram, figured out, and this is the only reason why Meta is still a thing, is because of Instagram, is they figured out that if we goose these views, we keep the advertisers and the creators happy and here and creating content on a regular basis. So we have a massive content library that we can pitch to the advertisers. Therefore, we can keep the ad revenue rolling. But TikTok went one step further because they they took it from that and then started to do the TikTok shop stuff. Right? So they they added on features that are gonna keep people there, keep people buying, keep people advertising because now you've got TikTok shop, and you can advertise within somebody's own TikTok TikTok shop as well. There's, like, all kinds of different avenues for advertisers to get their products seen and services seen. And YouTube was the net... They they... They're the net loser. And look at what else has collapsed. You look at Kik, completely dead. Outside of the top 10 creators, they do 90% of the views on Kik. How about Twitch? The top 15 creators on Twitch do almost 99.9% of the views there. And the wild thing is, x and Twitter, which was the most... You know, you... When you turn... When you call in aggregate, here's the number that people can't square, is that, technically, Twitter had way more aggregate view... Viewership on posts, before Elon versus after Elon, yet the actual downloads of the application and minutes of use and time on the application, time spent, increased over 5000%. So when when Twitter became x, the time spent on the application, the downloads and everything in its aggregate went up, like, 5000%, yet the the actual impressions dove off a cliff. Why? Because the entire thing was botted the same way that that we saw... That we see in the Instagram and TikTok ecosystems. But TikTok actually does it the right way. Because what happened after TikTok started to do their thing? Everybody's just copying TikTok content, posting it to Instagram, posting it to x, posting it to YouTube. This entire compilation is just TikTok bullshit because it's got ease of use. It's got the the other features that have been added on that keep advertisers there. That's why it does so well because they can offer community incentives. Like, did you know that you can boost it if you if you, like, post a couple of videos? They'll give you some, like, hey. Do you wanna boost your post? You can spend, like, $7, and you'll hit, like, 10,000 views or 10,000 impressions. We'll we'll put it out there for you more. If you wait long enough, they'll just give you a button that says, hey. Click this button for 10,000 views, and it will give you basically a free ad campaign. You'll get a free twelve hour or twenty four hour ad campaign. They can afford to do that because of all the advertisers there. [0:44:33] Dave @DCBK2LA: Love it. Landon, I don't mean to cut you. I actually really love this conversation. I do gotta jump. I just got to my sisters, and we're gonna enjoy the Nick game tonight. NBA kicks off tonight. Nick's got their rings, baby. Let's effing go. But, no, I appreciate you guys, man. Thank you. Landy, let's pick this conversation up because I really want to have more of this convo, especially as I saw Creator Studio today. I'm dying to get that invite. You know what mean? I'm trying to earn money that way, so I'm trying to do whatever it is that I can to get there. But, you know, they're they're building this thing out, man. So, yeah, let's continue to have these combos. Moni, thank you. Ryan, it was great to hear your voice, bro. Like, come come back up. Milo, the usual. Bits, where's my fucking money? CoinCon, good to see you. DocNooNoo, thank you and everybody that came through, man. Appreciate y'all. We'll see you tomorrow. Peace.
